  • I just got the susato pendant yesterday, Its better then i thought it would be but its really high pitched. For 6 bucks though its not bad at all!

  • That's cool a young Korean being interested in his old time culture. I'm a Pacific islander and I am seeing more of my people start to become interested in our old culture, like canoes and sailing etc. This song makes me feel like I'm relaxing =]

  • I'd like the sheet music for this, too. :) Arirang is the sound of my childhood in the countryside outside of Seoul in the '80s. :) Thanks so much for good memories.

  • please please make the tabs lol

  • One more question on that Susato Pendant, is it standard fingering positions or a custom one for Sustato?

  • @THEFINALHAZARD they follow standard pendant ocarina fingering

  • @kissing88 Cool! This'll be my first pendant then! You've been a great help, thanks!

  • Also, that Susato Pendant, any good at all? I'm thinkin o'gettin it for my first pendant.

  • @THEFINALHAZARD it's not bad, but i wouldnt recognise it. very piercing high sound

  • @kissing88 Well, I don't seem to mind what I heard in this video. Is that as high pitched as it goes, or does it go higher? And, do you have any reviews of it?

  • do you know where i can find tablature for a 12 hole ocarina? i looked all over yahoo and google and all i found were ads to buy ocarinas and legend of zelda crap.....

  • wow you play beutifly (i know i spelled it wrong....) and the ocarina is great for that song to. Great Job!

  • Kissing, I must ask.... this is the first time I've heard the Noble. It sounds amazing. How does it stand compared to the Focalink?

  • @THEFINALHAZARD

The new Focalink plastic is better in my opinion.

Richer sound, better build quality and better tuning as far as I can see :)

  • @kissing88 Alright cool, thanks Kissing!

  • dae han meengook!

  • verry nice song!!it's great!

you know...someone told me sometines that if i'll learn and sing arirang, then i'l be a real korean hehehe....so, i'm gonna sing it!

    Congatulations !!

  • We sang when I was in chorus in high school. I had thought it sounded beautiful then and now that I've heard it on the ocarina it sounds even more beautiful now.

  • your cool! im kroean too hehe

  • I like your song, I love your country. Asian Indoor Games 3 will be held in Vietnam on Oct, my team and I will sing this song to encourage the Korean Team. Peace!

  • Beautiful song--beautifully played. Another historical note: when I was in Korea, 1967, the 8th US Army Band played this song, at march tempo for all it's entrances and exits to the field. I wonder if they still do. Brings back a lot of nostalgia. Very well done.

  • You can read Korean?! Oh My Gosh.

  • talking to me?

  • I am not Korean though.....I am Iaparese or Mandarin(I do not vant to exactly identify myself).Anyvays.....Hov do you pronounce A ri ra ng?It is so hard to pronounce! It sounds like a vord coming from a Mongolian person!Ergh......

  • Wow,you played beautifully,This is such a lovely ocarina.

  • Its chowa yo. not choga

  • its chowa yo, not choga....

  • ITS CHOWA YO NOT CHOGA!!!!!!!!

  • OMGEEE I LOVE THIS SONG! almost made me cry, ur awesomely good!

    100000000/5 <3

  • Where can I get that red ocarina? Wait... is that plastic?!?! How does it sound so good?

  • Well, material does not matter if it is well made :-)

Plastic ocarinas can be quite awesome, and as good as any other material ocarinas are made of. However, sadly there are many bad quality plastic ocarinas out there that makes people think plastic=bad.

  • Okay, thank, but where can I get that ocarina & how much does it cost?

  • *thanks

  • The cost is very cheap, like $14 in your money.

However, they don't sell it overseas yet :-(

Currently they are working on making an new English website so they can sell to people like you =)

    This could take months though..

  • Hi!

How sweet music...I didn't know for this instrument...I like it!

    Keep playing!... :)

  • There is something about that song that makes me cry from the beauty of it!

  • what is the meaning of Arirang (아리랑)?

    a very nice song.

may i know how you make a video?

  • Wikipedi says:

"Arirang" is arguably the most popular and best-known Korean folk song, both inside and outside Korea. Arirang is an ancient native Korean word with no direct modern meaning. 'Ari' means "beautiful" (For example 아리따운 native Korean word means "beautiful", "lovely", "charming") 'Rang' can mean "dear". Because of those words, arirang could be interpreted to mean "beautiful dear"; however, this modern interpretation is unlikely to match the original (ancient) meaning.

  • That was good, but you could play a straw with holes in it and make it sound good. Haxx, lol.

  • Lol I was gonna ask about the Noble plastic ocarina then I see all the comments on it already.

  • :gasp: That was a plastic one?! I never would have guessed! :applauds: Very nice!

  • noble ocarina..... very nice for plastic.... too bad i cant read their site oh yah SWEET JOB

  • Oh my! You must tell me how I can get my hands on that plastic Noble ocarina!!

  • wow! those are plastic?! i woudn't have guesed!

    that was very nice. XD

  • Arirang! This song lol... It's an anti-Japanese song apparently.

Anyway, I played this (with the orchestra, while the singers sing) in Music Festival of British international schools in South East Asia thing in 2005 xD We went to Seoul, Korea of course.

Greatly played, sounds great even though they are plastic ocarinas!
