ill be honest its a firmware problem the guys that made the latest firmware for the hitachi drive they messed up some of the commands to the laser guidence so when it is told to read a sertain part of the disk it is slightly off and it gets confused and trys to correct its self thats what the loud noise is its trying to find the rite sector of data its a firmware problem at the moment for the drive it will be fixed momenterrily
