@STARSxXxRPD i always thought the army of The Khan was made up many different races and religions, that is another reason why he, and his descendants, were Great men; a rule of equality between all, the same law for everyone. There was a city, also, that was the capital ( i think ) of the Mongol empire which is still being excavated. It already shows just how diverse they were, all abiding by the laws of their Khan; co-exist, encourage trade, literacy and freedom of life. break laws = death.

@Dainathian then you are mistaken.There werent many different races in it.If you mean tribes as kazakh,kyrgyz,tatar...they are turk anyways.Plus:It is well know that mongols were in respect of number inferiror so turks as closest neighbors were also welcome.Both had tengrism as religion.The only racial and religious diversities were at recently conquered areas.The leading power was mongol and turk itself,without them nothing would serve khagan.The loyalty to khagan was turks and mongols culture.

Can't help but notice similiarities from Siberia to the Native Americans. Shamans, tribal lifestyles etc. Is it anything to do with the fact there may have been a land bridge between Asia and Alaska? Also to say there's a facial resemblance. Any suggestions?

Mongols are not Turks. If you look at depictions of Mongols in European art, Chinese art, and Arabic Art, Mongols are all portrayed with narrow eyes, and light skin.
Don't confuse Turks with Mongols. Tatars lived West of the area where Mongols dwelled.

They may have intermarried with the existing ethnic groups there, but they were originally from the steppe.

@TheAntiochus Maps don't show where people came from, only where arbitrary national boundaries were established, many of them no more than 100 years old, some were established no more than a couple of decades ago. The modern nation of Turkey is just the Western tip of the lands inhabited by the Turkic peoples. Even the Seljuks, who established the Turkish presence in Anatolia, originally migrated from Central Asia.

guys dont be stupid, Genghis khan is a Mongol. He started out from the Mongol plains so he is definitely Asian. You cannot find his body coz if you know Mongol customs, they feed the body to the "Sky Father", leaving it in the mountains for scavengers to feed. So there is no grave.
