Hello friend, I also own an Xponent, and if I improvise mapping the numbers 1 through 5 as samples, I see many people like you use the trigger finger along with the Xponent ... just in case the program to map the samples in Torq normal trigger finger? Connect the USB trigger and map it in the program only? ajdue me please, thank you
Dude I love this mix! Great performance too haha :) Check out mine now at soundcloud (dot) com/dj-t-feinz/dj-t-feinz-summer-11-mix. You will not be disappointed ;)
question: I use the same setup but when i play samples on the trigger finger I can't get the sound out even when my music on channels 1 n 2 works perfect I just can't get sound out when using the 16 cell sampler, how do I set it up so it works with my trigger finger? THANKS in advance!!! any tip would be of great help.
Nice way of mixing man! Love it, but the sync is from the computer? because you don't move the pitch in any moment, dunno maybe they're from the same bpm. Is the xponent good for sync, i have hercules rmx and it's awful to do that, impossible :S
LOVE YOUR MIX ANYWAY! You are a promise, soon i'll post some sets, hope you see them and comment!
@TerritorioDance Looking how the software is behaving, he is using the sync buttons most of the time, seems to be touching the jogs to look busy lol. The sync on these things are AWESOME!. Sometimes it samples songs which are 130bpm down to 65bpm so when you sync it speeds up heaps. but in theory, and most of the time in practice, 65 will line up with 130bpm. Sometimes you may also have to manually adjust (not tempo, just beat start position, tempo is ALWAYS right for most styles of music)
when you watched the whole video, you can see i was not using the sync-button once (they're right above the crossfader and they light up when you press them)
i can just say that, now it's up to you to believe it ;)
i beatmatch like this: first: adjust the speed (u can do this without playing the track using the xponent) second: press the cue button in the right moment. last: use the jogwheel to make it perfect (using the ears) ;)
@JoINezZ Well, I was paying too much attention to the behaviour of torq lol... It's pretty obvious you are that skillful - set-up and playing technique.
Personally, I'm comfortable with manual syncing, but I would rather spend more time being creative with effects n stuff. The art of djing is changing, and people don't really care if u synced manually or not, they're just there to have fun, and if you can focus more on interesting tweaks you could be a great dj. This is why I didn't go vinyl.
could I ask for something? i don't know yet how to use the sample on torq, can't get the sound out for some reason... please help if u can THX a ton!!!
dude!! torq rocks, xponent rocks, trigger finger rocks... thats a hell of a setup, love it, just missing the trigger finger, can't wait!!!!!!!!!! M-AUDIO ROCKS!!!!!!!!

I just have one question where did you learn to DJ like that??

please stop using the crossfader like that... Use the volume faders to fade in and fade out songs, much more precise! Good mix though

@djtavi77 you can load mp3-files into the sample section in torq...
maybe you have to set up an output for the samples in the settings?
