  • Can someone please tell me what Breeding said with regards to the mental disease of running away... is it trepida mania? I could not find any information on that.

  • @Psypomp

    "drapetomania"!

  • @firebloodjsa Oh, thank you! I just looked it up... very interesting.

  • @Psypomp

    sure, glad i helped!

  • also- mental illness is like any other type, most people get physically ill once in their lives, and in a similar way, everybody gets mentally ill every now and then.

  • i see the point in this- however- id like to point out that despite the fact that its wrong to make people conform and treat us like machines for production, that also, one must bear in mind that if we are not productive members of society, we are merely wasting resources and time and dragging the people around us down.

  • nice post. viewers can get a sense of some of dr. breeding's influences and generally, some knowledge that can not only be applied to psychology but to daily life.

  • Question everything. Think for yourselves and dont conform to peer pressure.

Oh and dont be judgemental. Live your own life and just try and do the right thing ..not just whats right for you.

It is good to hear peoples opinions. Take it or leave it, I still enjoy listening. This guy obviously actually thinks. (Not many people do this these days) The establishment dont care too much for us so question their rules and search for their motives.

  • right on brother

  • hmm ok..

  • In my opinion, judgement is truly the "illness" people face. with non judgement there is self actualization and a true feeling of fulfillment to yourself and and all things.

  • Many psychiatrists and economists seem to serve the powers that be. Fight these court magicians. Audit the Fed HR1207.

  • Dr. Breeding, can you address the use of psychdrugs as chemical restaints? What I have observed is keeping elderly people esp. alive for longer and longer but at the same time, keeping them chemically restained. They want to keep them alive but they don't want to have them wandering around and the headache that goes along with that because nursing home staff are responsible if they hurt themselves. This is insanity. Is there a better way?

  • You are doing something right Dr. Breeding, the agent provocateurs are hitting your channel.

Keep up the good work Dr. Breeding, please continue to expose the truth. Society is quickly becoming aware of the conflicts and fanatical views of these individuals, who appear to have several conflicts of interests in thier areas.

Instead of debating these issues the money hungery and fanatics attack the messenger, namely those with differ views.

  • There are times I think its all interest for those people and no conflict. Fight the good fight!

  • Excellent and informative information! Thank you, Dr. Breeding.

    dimphil:

Psychiatrists focus on the physical and treat with drugs and shock "therapy". Psychologists focus on the emotional and treat with empathy, listening and spending time with the client. To say that "psychologists opinions 'or' worth no more than any other man on the street" and to downgrade PhD's shows your limited thinking and biasedness. Dr. Phil is a poor example of a psychologist. You sound like an angry person.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL angry person? what disorder caused that comment, maybe a defense mechanism or minimizing, deflecting gene LOL.

WOW... If he sounds like an angry person, you must be a complete delusional sociopath awash in your own self righteousness and askewed thinking.

LOL sound like and angry person LOL

    Unbelievable

  • It sounds as though you enjoy and feel secure labeling people and calling names. If dimphil's comment doesnt sound angry to you, especially ending with the name calling of "fool", then I question your sanity.

  • I love all your videos and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that so say "so called ______." It's quite refreshing to hear that.

  • Get a shave AND A HAIRCUT FOOL.

  • IGNORE PSYCHOLOGISTS. GO TO A PSYCHIATRIST.

A Psychiatrist is an M.D. they have gone through medical school.

A psychologist however is merely a Ph.D. or Masters and therefore they are only privy to the bullshit of Freud and all the other fucked up psychologists of the professors who dole out religion disguised as psychology which is really a belief system and with 99,9 percent based on new age bullshit etc. Genius is Bi-Polar Mania idiot.

  • WOW! You really need to be more familiar with a subject before commenting on it. Psychologists differ in opinion from psychiatrists on the issue of drugging everyone. Every field has different ideas and opinions. Science, medical, religion, psychology, you name it. I have spoke to both psychologists and psychiatrists, and what I've encountered is that psychologists are more open minded. Psychiatrists sometimes have a little ego showing. Peace! :-)

  • Yeah Psychiatrists have more ego because they have earned that ego by going through medical school. Do you have any clue how hard it is to get into medical school, pass it, and then go through the process that follows? Psychologists opinions or worth no more than any other man on the street just listen to Dr. Phil if you think differently. I also work with both and have respect for psychiatrists but none for psychologists in fact when I interview people for psychiatric evaluation

  • I personally believe (which no one should really care about) that psychiatrists and psychologists are equally wrong about lots of things. In the end, my experience has been TONS of theories on how to treat people and yet no one can solve any ONE persons' problem reliably.

  • It seems to be too concerned with generalizing and placing labels on things that are completely against common sense and medicating clients only perpetuating the problem or at the very least solving the symptom SORT of. People can still be very depressed even on depressants. So whats the point?

  • *anti-depressants, lol almost didn't make ANY sense

  • WOW \UR/OLD

  • I guess it because I have been a vegan for years and not a vegetarian.

  • I try to stay away from soy products and other foods that I don't know that may be GMO. When you drive by fast food restaruants does the smell of the grease make you feel sick. It churns my stomach.

  • really? a greenscreen lol

  • Entertaining still I dont believe that the entertaining and interesing life of a mental patient threated like those was very desirable

  • more words of wisdom from breeding.

interesting quotes and its interesting to see how psychiatry has changed so little in view and attitude despite advancements in understanding of the so called mentally ill

  • "I just wonder if we are supposed to eat meat."

Humans are natural predators. We were physically built to eat meat. Everything from our eyes to our teeth supports this. Whether or not to eat meat is more of a question of morality.

  • in the dictionary(online) it gave synonyms for nazism, one of those synonyms was republicanism.

  • that's so bizarre...which dictionary?

  • i`ve tried several methods of posting where you could find it, youtube would not let me post either one(it would not post comment).

  • datasegment is part of url.and online dictionary is first part.seperated by adot.then forward slash word then forward slash nazism.

  • thank for taking the trouble! youtube can be frustrating...

  • your welcome

  • The Buddha said that before we attain enlifgtenment, we're all mad. We are full of defilfement. Greed, hatred and delusion are the cause of today's human illness

    Watch this video:

    "Wisdom of the Buddha"

To get some wisdom and fix the problem.

  • I have been meaning to ask this for a while, what is your opinion on TMS treatments?

  • I feel like I having breathing problems listening to this guy from the way he talks

  • So can one develope schizophrenia if there is no history of it in one's family?

  • "Scizophrenia is genetic." All personality traits are genetic. "Schizophrenia" is applied to such a diverse group of people based on symptoms that can be totally natural given the circumstances of that persons life and their underlying psychological understanding of life and the world. I look like my father, I think like my father and I follow one way or another my fathers legacy of life, but the difference between me and him is that he conformed to a structured routine, while as I never could.

  • You're not breathing too well in this video. I love your glasses, though. Certain types of people are attracted to certain shapes, I frequently find intellectuals to favor those style of glasses.

  • your linking of drapetomania to contemporary manifestations of repression is compelling.

  • bad ass movie! well put . awake the unawake.

  • Excellent video once again, Dr Breeding.

  • That was very well expressed, thanks for the info

  • Most great thinkers were thought mad at their time, or at least eccentric. So eccentricity and living like a hermit makes you crazy, sheer madness! Everyone has their eccentricities that what makes us individuals.

  • can you tell what some1 will become or what some will do in their lifetime based on their birth date ??

  • maybe more on their producing birth rate...

  • This man always makes me feel better when I'm ill at ease.

  • i just love you

  • "Bush Lied"

Really, so saddam was a good guy?

  • The Bush Administration lied about Saddam having WMD's and his intent to use them against the US. But I'm sure that the over 1,000,000 dead Iraqis are so thankful for the US removing him. It was totally worth the trillions of dollars in debt, dead and injured soldiers and their broken families, and all those dead Iraqis to take out a low level dictator. You're a fucking idiot.

  • Yes, he was a great man and lover.

  • 23:30-24:15 perfectly said..We need to have deeper more compassionate understanding of people and ourselves and examine things from all sides, it is too easy to slap a label of mental illness, or pathologize a person or behavior..life is problematic and people have different characteristics that interact to different degrees within the broad and shifting spectrum of circumstance, we need to be mindful of this and be prepared to operate from a position of patience and acknowledgment.

  • Great video Dr. !! 5/5 ***** Fav

  • In fact, your beard hides a lot of your facial expressions which makes you appear less trustworthy to people unfamiliar with the ideas you present. Why is it women lack facial hair, because evolution found them needing social bonding more than males?

  • Franz De Waals is a primatologist who has some excellent books out there explaining how innate and necessary social behavior is. We have a bit of an altruistic streak in our genes (although it could be argued that evolution is purely enlightened self interest) such as our hardwired honesty with our facial expressions that is a basis for our social cohesion.

  • I'll say right off the top that I like your videos because they are very thought provoking. I agree that historically people in authority have been quick to label the non-obedient and non-conformant as mentally ill. I do think, however, that humans need to have some basic social capability and that this could very well constitute a form of dysfunction. People who lack empathy are called sociopaths. It is not a question of how they act with authority, but how they act with peers.

  • 95% of us are mentally ill, The other 5% are abnormal...

    Talk about creating job security.

  • "I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the

most of us...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad..."

    Wiser words never spoken

  • sorry dude slavery and the "family business", "school", willful employment are in NO way synonymous! I understand ur trying to get the "wheels" turning, but come on, that's a paper thin comparison at best.

  • not according to bob marley.

  • History is good, but i find that it is the best source of information for making stuff up. This is why the Bibo is so good for making up religions. Seems like anything that is called history is about a lying contest or a pillaging action.

  • Hey! Be careful what you say.. madness is a highly infectious and contagious disease... Ha! ;-) And we must take care of our mental health eh?....

  • Memetic diversity is good for the species but it drives ya mad!! ;-)

  • We are the paranoid schizophrenics... ha! We must communicate in secret! Or risk destruction!! ;-)

  • Zombies just need more zombies!! The proof is in the pudding! Dawn of the Dead eh? Ha! ;-)

  • Ha Ha! I once tried to explain quantum physics to my dog... I don't think he quite understood.. and he just barked back at me in an aggressive manner... then he bit me!! I'll maybe try again next week... ;-)

  • But hey! A meme is just a genes way of making another gene! Authority rules!! ;-)

  • Mine deliberately eats cigarette butts just to annoy me...

  • Hey! I do that too just to annoy my psychiatrist!! Ha!! Then he gives me my drugs...... ;-)

  • I told him that he acted like just like my dog... I get my lobotomy the day after tomorrow,,, ;-)

  • But he said.. if I could learn to SIT ! and fetch the sticks he throws.. I might get released in a year or so... if I behave!!! ;-) I told him to f**k off.... so I don't hold out much hope... ;-) That's life eh?

  • Hmmm...maybe we can swap dawgs...although I've been holding out for Sioux City Sue...lol

  • great video, great quotes, thanks!!

  • The time has absolutely come! Google 'FTAC' in the UK.... jeez! Great vid...

  • I do agree with him that people are being misunderstood and misplaced in society.

Funny he mentions Jesus, as in the bible one of the commandments is: "Thou shalt not Judge"

I interpret this as: Only God knows what is normal. Respect God and therefore other peoples differences.

Gives me a reason to always be myself "normal" and NOT JUDGE others on their behavior, only communicate conflicts and respect the diversity.

  • Thank you !!! Agreed

  • "Thou shalt not Judge" is not one of the 10 Commandments.

  • "Thou shalt not kill" is one of the ten commandments... but that did not stop Moses! According to the book of Numbers ... er I cant remember the number.. but read it.. !!

  • Great point. Funny how people keep parading that out as if it were...biblical illiteracy, man.

  • You're right about that, looked it up, its not there, just sure i read it. Probably something Jesus himself said.

    Thanks for the correction

  • Bush lied? What lie was that?

  • Wmd's + Iraq

  • No, that was no a lie. It was simply mistaken, bad information. Recall, *everyone* insisted there were WMD.

If Bush lied, then he had some exclusive knowledge of there not being WMD.

And if so, where is the smoking gun, given the propensity of CIA to leak any and all secrets that tended to discredit Bush?

  • Excuse me? Bad information?

These people do not get "bad information" like that. They know what they're doing, they have the absolute means to know exactly who has what.

And if you think that it was just "bad information" that sent troops to Iraq to slaughter innocent babies and "terrorists", and you don't ask some VERY serious questions about the sanity of your government - you need help.

  • Innocent babies? Oh, come on now.

And we have bad information at all times. Tell me, when was the CIA actually right on any major event? Name them.

  • He also tricked the American people into thinking that Iraq and 9-11 were somehow related... If you weren't for Iraq then you fell in the same category as a terrorist.

  • I knew there was no WMD when we attacked -the truth is we would never attack a country that really had WMD- the troops on the ground took off their chem-suits after three days.

  • The Canadians, myself included, never bought it either.

  • Interestingly, the Iraqi troops had chem suits at the ready, on their front lines. Somebody thought there were WMD, and they had Iraqi names.

  • Ha, I remember you from my early Youtube days!

  • If what you said were true-that Bush was simply mistaken in his assertion that there were WMD's-then he would have withdrawn from Iraq upon realizing that the weapons were not there. Instead, however, he leaves the troops in and involves us in this whole sordid, dragged out affair.

  • No, you don't do a ground invasion, wreck a government, then just say, "Oops! Never mind!", then walk away.

    Silly.

  • It should never be done in the first place.

  • Of course not. I mean, it's a damned shame that Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait to begin with.

He ought not have done that.

  • Well, that is up to debate. Kuwait was stealing oil from Iraq, after all.

  • Oh, right. That's the ticket: Kuwait had it coming.

  • What do you think would happen if a foreign country attempted to illegally expropriate oil from Alaska? Don't you think the U.S. would retaliate militarily?

  • Nah, we're not using it anyway. Obama hates oil, remember?

Let's see, who would do such a thing? Russia? No, too obvious. China? No, we owe them too much money.

Cuba. That's it. Cuba would invade, take over Alaska, take our oil, using pack mules. In memory of Che, of course. And the Democrats in Washington would have to approve.

Brilliant idea, Xxx-dude. You are sooo smart.

  • Obama is trying to endorse cleaner, more efficient sources of fuel, but he is not anti-oil. As for your absurd claim that Cuba would invade and steal Alaska's oil reserves, that is unlikely to happen. Cuba is too busy trying to feed and provide for it's people to concern itself with imperialism-unlike the U.S., who bombed sugar cane fields in Cuba during the incipient stages of the 1959 revolution, and who has also invaded the tiny island and suffocated it economically.

  • Wow, you are very young, aren't you? Everything is so serious. And, you believe in Obama.

    And Cuba.

  • Yes, I believe in Cuba. It is the land of my ancestors and my family, and I support it indefatigably in it's efforts for freedom from imperialism. I support Castro, and Che is my hero. As for Obama, all I can say is that he is better than McCain. He still represents the same bourgeiosie class as any other politician, but at least he offers something different than the others.

  • Yeah, that Obama is so bourgeois... if we could only have a bloodthirsty mass murderer to admire, like Che, then you would love America.

His murderous nature was only matched by Raoul.

  • I would have thought that with your advanced age, you would have been a little more enlighted and a little less caustic, but I suppose I was foolish. There is a reason that millions around the world look at Guevara as a hero.

  • Lenin had a name for you guys. "Useful idiots".

How ironic and truly idiotic it is to idolize a mass murderer, especially in the name of social justice and compassion.

  • By mass murder, do you mean the executions which took place in Cuba after the civil war? The people who were rounded up and executed mostly consisted of Cuba's secret police(the B.R.A.C.) who were in charge of persecuting any suspected rebel sympathizers or communists. During their reign, they perpetrated some truly atrocious acts of violence against many, many people. Trials were afforded them, with witnesses and defense attorneys, and were punished accordingly. They were not just arbitrary.

  • No, during and after the "revolution", people were rounded up and shot, without the pretense of trials.

Che wrote "On Revolution", in which he espoused a philosophy of forgiveness. I read it 40 years ago. Great publicity he got from it. But, it was a complete lie. He never practiced anything close to what he claimed in the book.

    Mass murderer. Cold blooded. Evil.

  • This argument could go on indefinately, and you could continue to offer me the same, banal contentions that I've encountered before, so I'll just say what I have to say and be done with this. I've read the man's biography-over 800-pages and have read his own words-and I have come to the conclusion that he was not what you say. To you, a Bougeiosie, he is evil, but to millions of down-trotten all over the world, he is a hero. (CONT.).

  • That you use the term "bourgeiosie" speaks volumes to your archaic mindset.

You have all the enthusiasm of a child, but are stuck in 1920 Berlin.

  • He gave his life fighting for the liberation of oppressed people, and he is vilified for his ability to imbue others with militancy and insubordination. He is vilified because he is the antithesis of imperialism and oppression.

  • Oh, don't forget that small matter of being a mass murderer.

  • Mass murderer? Are you referring to George W. Bush?

  • Nope, that would be Che.

But, do be careful when hurling such accusations at Bush, considering his successor is following his Iraq and Afghanistan policies pretty much to a tee.

  • Oh, I agree. Almost every president in American history has played some part in the muder of many innocent people all around the world. Barry is no different in that respect.

  • for God sakes just hurry up and call Barrack Obama a racial slur and save us all the time of actually reading your ridiculous comments.

  • Why would anyone call Obama a "racial slur"? It would be like calling Al Gore a "vile epithet". Or Bill Clinton a "misogynistic Freudian slip".

Why are those on the Left so obsessed with race?

  • well that was certainly a successful attempt at being dismissive...quotations marks or no quotation marks, I''m pretty sure you grasped the msg - I see you graduated from the Fox News school of rabble-rousing. Your non-response was a PERFECT illustration of right-wing attempted moral superiority. key-word attempted.

  • So, answer the question: Why is the Left so obsessed with race?

  • Guy, Left or Right, it's say to say we both basically compose the same U.S. legal tendered coin...and I think it's less an obsession as a necessary form of whistle blowing against historically prevelent Right wing intolerance....

  • Racism has always been the domain of the Left. Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Che, Fidel, Mao... the list goes on. All socialists, all racists.

  • All of the segregationist governors of the south were Democrats

    Alabama=George Wallace

    Arkansas=Orval Faubus

    Mississippi= Ross Barnett

    Georgia= Herman Talmadge

All of the above bigots were democrats.

The senior ranking senator of the Democrats, Robert Byrd was a kleagle in the Ku Klux Klan

  • Wow you are truly a living example that age does not bring wisdom. Che faught with the Africans in the congo, and Fidel aided South Africa in it's fight for liberation. As for Hitler and Mussolini, those were FASCISTS.

  • Yes, fascists. Fascism is the practice of national *socialism". Entirely of the Left.

For decades, the Left has struggled to disconnect itself from the Nazis and Fascists, but they are one and the same. Only implementation details differed, and then only slightly.
