@MrFishcakehead yes i do, go to local area connection then press properties then choose internet protocol TCP\IP, click on use the following ip address and type in 1st bar 192.168.0.(any number from 1 to 255 ) 2nd bar will type automaticlly .. 3rd bar type 192.168.0.1 ( note dont type the last number twice in 1st and 3rd bars u have from 1 to 255 ) now for DNS type 4.2.2.5 & 4.2.2.6. now go to ur ps3 and type these stuff in manual ip address .. hope it works. ur ps3 ip type 192.168.0.10 for ex

I TRIED THIS but it didnt work. i have a ps3, Ethernet cable, and Sprint modem (looks like a flash drive / USB) i tried to connect it 2 my D-Link router but it didnt work, then i tried connecting it directly 2 my ps3 but still no. if i connect the Ethernet cable at all to my laptop, the Sprint internet goes off & says "YOUR MOBILE CONNECTION WAS TERMINATED BECAUSE MULTIPLE CONNECTIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED" Is there a way around this?

Open up ur start up manager for ur modem thinggy, then go to tools and from there go to settings and then click on hardware and check the "allow simultaneous connections" and now it should allow u to have more than one connecetion

For those of you on the PS3 getting the "attempt to obtain the ip address has timed out" message, try this, it solved the problem for me. (It was painfully obvious)

1. Go to internet connection settings and instead of clicking "easy" click "custom"

2. Wired connection -> Auto-detect -> Automatic -> Do Not Set -> Automatic -> Automatic -> Do Not Use -> Enable

3. Press X and test connection

This worked for me but if it doesn't work for you, sorry...
