  • @DaGuittarMan, that's not Fantasia. It's Carnival of the Animals. Fantasia only did the Finale.

  • @BlackStallionWoman learn to read please :)

  • @DaGuittarMan, sorry to trouble you.

  • @BlackStallionWoman I mean, I didn't say it was Fantasia, I just said he did his version of it. It's no trouble.

  • @ChronoCrusade08 its not a christmas song ... but well anybody can get it mistaken. so no prob.

  • (':

    funny!

    i like the fossils!

i think the fossils part is the best of the whole carnival.

  • Well.. you can't have it all, can you?

    LOL

  • @JohnathonKellyMitch not as shit as your face

  • anyone else reminded of danse macabre from a few notes

  • Yep! Saint-Saëns was poking fun at Danse Macabre, which was, incidentally, his own composition...the entire suite references a number of pieces that were popular at the time. The whole thing, really, was meant to be humorous, which is why the animation fits so perfectly =)

  • THANKS!!!

you gave me a compliment, AND explained about the music better than I could! ;)

  • nice, I like it!

  • this animation is killing me!!!

  • Ohhh...

In a good way? or bad way?

I hope a good way... LOL

  • in the good way, it's so funny that it's killing me!

  • Hey, that's a great implementation for the story supporting this score! Congratulations! Also, loved the idea in 1:07... Hehehe... super! :)

  • Thanks! :)

It's one of my favorite bits... The clarinet part is awesome!

  • Oh danse macabre + ah vous dirai-je maman?NICE!!

  • :)

    Classical music is the best!

  • Amazing!!

  • Wow! This is great use of claymation (funny word) and my personal favourite movement from Carnival of the animals. I love the organ out of clay, awesome.

    And the strings section here.

  • You are wonderful I envy you creativity

  • Thank you very much! I'm sure you are creative too :)

  • The Claymation could use a little work it almost looks like a ballet but as usual the music i brilliant

  • I still hope to do a much better version of it... maybe if they ever hire me in Disney, for "Fantasia 2010" LOL ;)

  • The video sets perfectly to the story behind the theme.

    Mighty good work, guydgazit! :D

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • Oh yeah... it's a real pearl! (double meaning LOL)

  • i've danced 'turtoise', 'swan', 'royal march of the lion' and 'aquarium' in ballet, last summer (:

  • Cool :)

I've seen some marvelous stage versions of the carnival of animals...

some even of high-school dance classes.

  • j'adore le carnival des animaux mai mon morceau préféré es celui ci il y a pleins de musique mélangé en plus comme "A vous dirai-je maman", "J'ai du bon tabac", "Au clair de a lune" ...

  • Marvelous work.

Very reminiscent of the old Silly Symphony "Skeleton Dance"

  • I haven't seen that one in a long long time!

and thanks for the compliment! :)

  • I just performed the entire Carnival of the Animals last night. This is really fun.

    great job!

    .x.

  • really nice video and song :) 5*

  • Thanks!

  • I didn't know if was banned. it's one of my favorite pieces.

  • did you know that Danse Macabre was actually also composed by...this guy. Also, this song was banned for a long time in France because of it's "disturbing meaning" a.k.a. the fact that you can hear the bones clacking together!

  • I like this one, the aviary, the swan, the aquarium, the elephant the most

  • I love the pianist too... one of my favorites.

  • omgLOL96 was so rude and he even called this a "song"

    *people*

  • ROFL... I agree ;)

  • BTW i really love your videos! i also found on youtube a LEGO Animation of Titanic, similar to yours, except yours is Clay Animation. Try to look up Titanic Lego Movie.

  • Cool, thanks, I will! :)

  • um no im not a retard i dont confuse things. this isnt the original and i dont even know wtf dance macabre is

  • Well, look it up then... it's really cool!

You can even search it on YOUTUBE... I'm sure there are 1000 versions here.

  • well this is the original, saint saens created it using different pieces of music and part of it came from 'Danse Macabre'.

  • Cool :)

Always glad that I learn something new everyday :)

  • it was more to teach omglol96

  • Well... I'm glad omglol96 learned something new too... (but I wouldn't bet my money on it... lol)

  • why is the whole song different? the original is soooooo much better

  • I'm sure you are confusing this "Fossils" bit from Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals" - with his other piece - "Dance Macabre"...

I love them both and YES - they are very similar :)

  • No it was a project for music class... but ill see if i can put it on youtube

  • this is very nice.. it goes great with the song.. good job doing this.. way better than my thing of lions they these bent legs so whenever i put them up and started the song all my lions fell down lol

  • Thanks :)

Did you post your work on Youtube too?

    I didn't see it.

  • Really cool video! You need a lot of patience to do that!!

  • Thanks!!! :)

    Luckily, I'm a very patient person ;)

  • somebody got bored huh? love that section though!

  • Haha :)

I'm never bored... especially when I do what I love! ;)

    Glad you liked it...

BTW - It was a student film...

  • i play the dance macabre on piano... it's really allmost the same .. it's nice with the clarinet (i think) together as well.. =) i really love carnaval of animals ... thanx alot x]

  • Thanks!

    Glad you liked it!

This actually is one of my favorites - if not THE favorite! (I like the pianist too).

You should listen to Camille Saint-Saens' "Dance Macabre" - you'll recognise a mutual theme! :)

  • I love it!

  • Thanks! :)

  • LOVE this song! really does sound like fossils

  • Actually - Check out Camille Saint-Saens "Dance Macabre", on which this part of "the Carnival of Animals" is based upon.

It's actually one of my favorite pieces... and Saint Saens is one of my favorite composers.

Hope you liked my clay interpretation of it too! ;)

(have you watched the rest of them?)

  • yes I did watch the rest of them. It was nicely done, becaue I know how hard claymation is and how long it takes...

  • True... it's a real back-breaker! hehe.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it :)

When I showed it at my university (it wasn't broken - it was 25 mins. long) the other students called me "Clay Tarantino"... cause of the finale :)

  • listen to the double bass section at 0.31!!!!!! WOW!
