What sickens me is that there are two different animated movies that make light of this; one with a rapping dog and a "happily ever after" ending for the couple that meet on it despite all the death in the background, and one with a giant octopus who tosses an iceberg into the path of the Titanic because a gang of mobster sharks dared him to do it because some businessman asked them to sink the ship over some whaling dispute.
hey could of saved alot more with the life boats.. they all could hold 70 people but 1st class didnt want to share with comaners (poor 2nd and 3rd class people) and kept it at 20
@baguitapauli si, lo es pero quien se iba a imajinar que el poderoso titanic que llebo años y años de costriccion aal igual que millones y millones de euros iba a ser derrotado en su primer y unico biaje
if i had a gazillion american dollars, i'd recover that wreck, put it together, and make it a museum/attraction in New York City. It's such a waste having that ship rot in the abyss...
by the way, who owns that ship anyway? who ever found it? or the original owner/builder?
@1818JoseRizal1898 I think it would fall to pieces on the raising. That's at a hell of a depth. It's a graveyard too. It'd be a shame to disturb a graveyard. Leave it be I think.
@Maryonpark You're right! Somebody said that the ship would fall apart. But considering it's made out of steel, it should be able to withstand the effort. Good point about it being a grave site. However, if I were a familly member, I'd be thankful if I were able to visit the ship in person. From a tourist point-of-view, this is a perfect venue for Ghost Hunters...Zack the muscle show-off, gay, vain, self-absorbed hunter of Ghost Adventures would have a field day investigating this ship :)
@lettheonerightin still a tragedy none the less. These Ultra rich people you mock probably employed many many people who were very grateful of the work they gave them. How they enjoyed their wealth is none of our business.
@Tiger20001 Yes. The cameras of that period ran a 16 fps and modern film runs at 24 fps to everything is 50% faster when it is shown on modern projectors.
It's crazy how a series of decisions can all eventually culminate to disaster or greatness... in this case disaster. Deciding not to trippe row the rivets or use steel rivets, not putting on enough life boats to accommodate and then going for the glory of arriving early, speeding up and ignoring the ice warnings... its so mind screwing to think that one decision could alter your life forever, without you even knowing it.
I really like the music to this video but also try watching this while listening to Michael Nyman's "The Heart Asks Pleasure First." It is also moving and fits this wonderful compilation perfectly.

@norbelispurplediva You're asking if there once were a transatlantic called Titanic that sunk? If yes, first off, Im amazed by your ignorance, second, thats the kind of thing you look for first in the google search engine just to avoid the embarrasment and irony of such presumptuous sarcasticly depressed assholes like myself.
To answer you, yes, there was a transatlantic called Titanic that sunk in its first trip in 1912, which at the time was the largest ship on the planet.
@norbelispurplediva - You've never heard of the Titanic? Sank in 1912 on it's maiden voyage? Owned by the White Star Line... not just a sad movie. An unfortunate reality
@SunsetTV100 Drawings, you wanted to say. These people who saw the sinking ship were rather very busy trying to save their lives. Carpathia crew was also busy to rescue the survivors. They rather have no time to use the newest Nikon camera to take the picture...

Did you know that no-one was allowed on board Titanic at Southampton to take photographs while she was docked there for over a week during Easter? All the photo's were taken in Belfast before and during her trial and voyage to Southampton. Some of those photo's are of Olympic because no-one bothered to get a photo of Titanic's bridge. What a shame. Great video to watch though
@MrStoeipoes Why get mad at them?? because they're rich? Don't get mad at just the rich people fool. Camera's could only be afford by the rich back then. It was like having a Ferrari, only wealthy people could own them. So no, clearly and obviously poor people would not have had their photo taken because they didn't have a camera..
@MrStoeipoes let me know if im wrong, but was it that many poor people on Titanic? as someone wrote there was not many poor people in thaat time that wasted their money on a picture of them. but its really horrible what happend, if they only hade more lifeboats:(

@supersuper1209 the weight of the water lifted up the rear that made the top section separt then it went into a slight v shape that is thought to crushed the top after, the bottom bent and failed, the rear went up again this time steeply and soon after sliped throuh the waves
Far too many images / movies of the RMS Titantic are actually the RMS Olympic, sister ship to the Titanic and the first built of the two, maiden voyage of the Olympic to NY 1911, even if with a string of bad luck the Olympic's career still lasted some 25 years, operating both as a cruiseship and trans-Atlantic troop carrier 1914/18.
My mother in law's uncle was one of the Belgium passengers on the TITANIC and he is saved in lifeboat nr11 , his age was 21 years . It was mister JULIUS SAP born in Zwevezele ( Belgium ) he died in 1967 May GOD BLESS HIM
@british123able The Titanic was designed and built in Belfast, it was indeed owned by White Star Liners and it's home berth was In England but it was an Irish Ship, what your saying is like saying The QE2 was an English ship when it was built on the Clyde, and this year markes a century of one of the biggest and most famous disasters in history, R.I.P Titanic...
little education you may wonna know The Titanic had two sisters that look the same and they name was Britanic and Olimpic which had a sad too and they ware made by White star line and you may wonna look about that in wiki.
my great, great grandfather was born on April,12,1882,and for his birthday my great, great, great grandfather\mother bought him a 3rd class ticket on the titanic to be with his pregnant girlfriend in America. But he never made it,on the same date as his birth date he lost his life to the freezing waters of the Atlantic.4 months later my great, grand father was born on August,12,1912.then my grandmother born January,12,1956,then MY mother born Mach,12,1972.Then me,i was born April,12,1992 !!! WOW!!
@terriparker100 No. This person says their relative died on the Titanic on his birthday and the ship didn't hit until April 14th, 1912 and it sunk on April 15th, 1912...This person should learn the facts about their own relatives and should know easy facts about the Titanic...
@terriparker100 Hace 100 años 1600 almas quedaron en el Atlantico norte, valga recordarlos con el costa Concordia. Podran pàsar los siglos pero esas almas estaran siempre en nuestro recuerdo.
@kdizzle16fb im related to hitler who covniced an entire country to g on a killin spree of the word just because of his own twisted visions...suck on that!!
