I thought this game was pretty dope. I've been DJing for 8 years and jumped on this at best buy the other day. Now, I played guitar and could not play any guitar hero, but i jumped on DJ hero w/o any problems. Idk if it's just a lot easier, (prolly the case) but it does translate quite well to what actual djing is like. Of coarse it's completely dumbed down and you have no issue of timing the records together, which is like 95% of the challenge. But a fun game.

@SacredSocietyAP I don't know where your finding these DJ "starter kits" for less than $100 bucks. DJ equipment is VERY expensive. One low end direct drive turntable runs about $150-$200. and thats just one deck let alone another one and a mixer, records, CDs, MP3s, software(if you want to use it) speakers, soundcards, the list goes on and on. Oh and BTW I have real decks and I don't play DJ Hero anymore actually haven't played in like 4 months. I've moved on to the real decks. So much more fun

ANY other musical hobby is cheaper than DJing, the music keeps comming out. and the kids now days think they can grab some software and a laptop and pull it off, but you realistically need Technics or something equal, a $300-$2k mixer, laptop, $500 software w/ interface, and a ton of music. DJ hero is by far the cheaper experience.
