@bluegrassreb Nothing was hard about being a JW, in fact I still live the lifestyle I just don't study the Watchtower. I actually lead a tougher lifestyle than JWs in that I don't use alchohol even in moderation and am currently a vegan. You're using a logical fallacy called appeal to fear here in order to avoid the question, please if you're going to comment actually answer the question here.
I must say that I did go onto you page and read what your background was... you was raised a JW and now like countless others apostate cant move on after leaving the TRUTH! Which baffles my mind... because if you do not believe and left, keep it moving and do your thing! But no you spend countless hours making videos to bash what is obvious your heart condition didnt allow you to see! Its one thing to know the truth and another to have the truth in you! So do yourself a favor and get a life!
@denny82184 Hmmm, did someone actually read why I do the videos? If you thought something would effect your child's life would you spend time to prevent it or not? Did someone see all the things I've done, got a degree, became a pro wrestler, has a family, started my own business. Because I spend 15 minutes making a video every other week doesn't mean I have no life. You're just theatened by the content in my video so you start your ad hominem attacks.
@denny82184 Who's bashing Jehovah, I'm questioning the translation of the bible and the interpretation of it. I didn't know that everyone who translates the bible or interprets it is Jehovah. So if I make a video saying the trinity is wrong am I bashing Jehovah? How about if I make a video saying hell is wrong, am I bashing Jehovah? I mean I'm talking about translations and interpretations of the bible just like this one.
@TimKilgore You are bashing Jehovah... because if you bash JW which is his earthly organization then you are bashing Jehovah God!!! He might not be your God and billions of other people but he is the God to over 7 million people worldwide! All I am saying to you with no disrespect to your believe now is that it hurts my and countless other people feeling that do love Jehovah God! Because the Truth is in me and I wish it was in you as well! Do your videos as questions in general not to JW!!!
@denny82184 If someone asked you these questions in the ministry would you say that they were "bashing" JWs? Or would you answer them? So two quick things I can't bash a thing that doesn't exist afterall Jehovah doesn't exist, YHWH probably does. Jehovah isn't God's name it's a mis-translation. What is your actual proof that JWs are representing YHWH if they can't even get his name right?
@TimKilgore Dont compare the ministry to youtube! Ok.. so what is your real purpose here? Why not sit with someone from the organization and ask all your questions? Why not address someone directly instead of putting your questions on youtube??? And his name is Jehovah which is also YHWH as you mentioned without vowels!!! And you know why you think its not his earthly organization because you do not have the truth in you... its just information to you!! Go find your religion or be atheist!
@denny82184 Another JW and more ignorance. If you watched my FIRST VIDEO you would know I did ask someone. Actually Jehovah is a mistranslation a combonation between YHWH and the hebrew word for lord. If you read the WT website you'd know that. So if someone says they're God's earthly organization you're just supposed to take their word for it? Finish out with another ignorant statement, I have said my stance on religion in MANY of my videos.
@TimKilgore I have not watched any of your videos just this one for 58 seconds... so I have no idea what your belives are other than not likeing JW!! Let me ask you what is your believe??
@denny82184 This right here is the epitome of ignorant. You didn't even complete the video to see what the actual question was. Do you do that in the ministry, if someone's talking to you, you'll just ignore everything they say after a couple seconds? If you don't have the time to even finish watching a video you're commenting on I don't have the time to answer your questions. Nice representation of God's people you have here.
@TimKilgore Your question was about homosexuality in the city of S&G! Your are an apostate I didnt have to hear more of it! I just decided to post my thought on homosexuality and it has turn into this whole back and forth thing! Food for thought... maybe when you left you was too young and didnt have the ability to fully understand a lot of things and now you are turned off entirely by the JW. I dont know maybe I am just hopeful... but you seem lost and in need for answers from JW!
@denny82184 If you studied Hebrew and Greek like I have maybe you could understand why I would have questions regarding it. I went into detail as what the words are, what they mean and where else they're translated differently. I bet I know your religion and understand it more than you do. I don't just bet, I guarantee I know your religion better than you do. The difference between us is I'll study something even if it makes me uncomfortable to find truth.
@denny82184 The videos as a testiment to my daughter is what I was looking for. When she gets old enough and has her own questions, that's what they're there for. Again something in my first video.
@TimKilgore I am very happy to know your parents are JW... and that you would allow your daughter to learn if she chooses to. Why dont you sit with your parents and ask them all those questions you have? Tim I get the feeling that you may not be an apostate but rather someone that is just confuse, is that fair to say??
@denny82184 Again, first video I say I've spoken with them several times regarding it. Luckily you jumped to the conclusion and called me an apostate four times already in this conversation.
@TimKilgore And still you find no satisfaction with what your parents have explained!?!? Do you consider yourself an apostate?? Or do you feel you can turn to Jehovah again or is there no hope of that ever? I humbly apologize for calling you an apostate if you think you can turn to Jehovah again... again I feel you are lost spiritualy am I wrong to say that?
@denny82184 No satisfaction with what they told me, the elders told me or the circuit overseer (who is now on the governing body) told me. I don't consider myself an apostate because my belief was I was seeking truth which I never left I just feel that JWs don't have it. Could I turn to Jehovah again? With evidence and logical explanations sure.
@denny82184 If you send the request I'll accept, though I accept personal messages anyway. If you're going to answer the questions you might want to start with Final Tough Question which is the reason I left, and then Bonus number 7 which is the reason I don't want my daughter going near a hall.
Homosexuality is wrong! It is condemn by God and that's that!!! So if you are a gay man and you have sex with other men you are practicing an act that is discus-ting to God! If you care what God thinks you would just live an abstinence life! Its the same of a single heterosexual person... that person should live an abstinence life and not commit fornication! No difference! I understand that you do no choose to be gay but that does not give you the permission to act on it either!
@denny82184 Wow, so with all those stops in the video regarding what the words meant in hebrew, all those questions regarding what did and didn't make sense in the story this is the comment you make? The question dealt with whether there sin really was homosexuality or not, I never even mentioned whether it was right or wrong. There's no possible way you are that dense to miss that throughout the video, so did you not watch it and want to say something homophobic?
@TimKilgore I didnt bother watching the video... I actually stoped it at 58 seconds! Because I notice it was a series, you spend a whole lot of time bashing JW and I dont care for people that bash other people's believe! And for your info I am a JW! And I am not a homophobic I actually have several people in my family that are homosexuals not JW and I have a relationship with them... it is not my business who people sleep with thats between them and God!
This is the first time I've heard the Sodom and Gomorah's only sin was homosexual practices.
As to the translation of "getting to know someone", I know that sometimes some phrases have to be translated differently in context.
In Japanese, for example, the verb "to lick" also can mean "to mess with". Many times when I've heard "Namenaide" (lit. don't lick me) been said, it's only usually translated as "Don't F*** with me"
There's actually a completely different word used for the "get to know" that they commonly translate this as. You only need to learn Hebrew if you need complete evidence for an argument with a stubborn person. Well you're dealing with JWs, so um, yeah learning Hebrew would be a good idea :)
You clearly do not know the bible. You are not going after the lies JWs tell, but you are just clearly going after the bible, period! You clearly do NOT want to know the Truth, otherwise you wouldn't be saying that the bible is not true. The bible states that the angel only found 4 righteous people living in Sodom, so it is true. And "knowing" somene in bible terms means having sex with them.
you didnt catch the point here. tim didnt say there was more than 4 rightous people, he said that the homosexuality was not the reason why sodoma and gomorra got destroied. a good example is when the pharisies in John cap 8, went to stone a prostitue to death, but Jesus said that the ones that hadnt commit sin should throw the first rock. do you think jesus would say something different about a homosexual?
Tim Kilgore im doing a video on an interview i had with an elder from the jehovah witness' whats the real information i should get the audience to listen to? you obviously know ur stuff
uhm... they weren't killed because they were gay dood... but because they had no respect for sex or each other AT ALL. Sexual behaviour is just a reflection of the condition of someones ego self perception and heart condition. And it would have been the psychological conditions of these people that Jehovah would have been referring to... not specific sexual practises.
I never said they were killed for being gay, that's the common misconception I'm asking about here. Why do so many people interpret it that way when there's so many questions that come up if you do.
(1 Samuel 15:3, 9-11 cont.) 10 The word of Jehovah now came to Samuel, saying: 11 "I do regret that I have caused Saul to reign as king, because he has turned back from following me, and my words he has not carried out." And it was distressing to Samuel, and he kept crying out to Jehovah all night long.
(1 Samuel 15:3, 9-11 cont.) 9 But Saul and the people had compassion upon A´gag and upon the best of the flock and the herd and the fat ones and upon the rams and upon all that was good, and they did not wish to devote them to destruction.
1 Samuel 15:3, 9-11 Now go, and you must strike down Am´a•lek and devote him to destruction with all that he has, and you must not have compassion upon him, and you must put them to death, man as well as woman, child as well as suckling, bull as well as sheep, camel as well as ass.'".....
Epehsians 5:2 and go on walking in love, just as the Christ also loved YOU and delivered himself up for YOU as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling odor.
(Lev 1:5-9 cont.) And the sons of Aaron, the priests, must set the pieces in order with the head and the suet over the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar. And its intestines and its shanks will be washed with water; and the priest must make all of it smoke on the altar as a burnt offering, an offering made by fire of a restful odor to Jehovah.
Lev 1:5-9 "'Then the young bull must be slaughtered before Jehovah; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must present the blood and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar, which is at the entrance of the tent of meeting. And the burnt offering must be skinned and cut up into its parts. And the sons of Aaron, the priests, must put fire on the altar and set wood in order on the fire.
Exodus 29:18, 17 And you will cut up the ram into its pieces, and you must wash its intestines and its shanks and put its pieces to one another and up to its head. 18 And you must make the entire ram smoke upon the altar. It is a burnt offering to Jehovah, a restful odor. It is an offering made by fire to Jehovah.
Tim I have just one more question? What's the point of this video? Even if the men in Sodom weren't gay, there are ton of scriptures that blantaly says homosexuality is wrong. So what exactly is your motive with this video? Are you trying the say the Bible doesn't condem homosexuality because I can show you several scriptures where it does.
I think given the evidence this is a VERY strong story about idolatry and worshipping the true God, when looking at the facts the homosexuality bit just doesn't seem to make sense. So the point of this question is more so why interpret a bible story one way when it could very well have nothing to do with the way it's being interpreted.
You'll notice in my videos I never say that the bible doesn't. My other question about homosexuality was about homosexuality in nature and this one is why Sodom and Gomorrah's sin is equated to homosexuality when the facts point otherwise. The bible condemns alot of weird things though, homosexuality is just one of them.
Matthew 5:39 But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.44But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Masturbation (like homosexuality) ignores or bypasses that natural arrangement. It is one form of leaving "the natural use of the female" for "one contrary to nature." The vestige of God-given conscience that is inherent in all humans, therefore, makes itself heard in disapproving of such practice, causing an internal sense of guilt.-Compare Romans 1:26, 27; 2:14, 15.
The only reference to masturbation is in the case with Onan and that was really about a man having sex with his brother's widow then purposely pulling out because he didn't want to have children with her. We're veering off subject here with the bible promoting violence, that's dealt with in my question about letting my child watch an R Rated movie or read the bible.
Because the practice is one "contrary to nature," the masturbator pays a mental penalty. The habitual practice cripples his social and emotional development, hinders his attaining a healthful outlook and attitude toward the other sex and toward people in general. It can 'turn the person inward' upon himself, making him introverted. Or it can, and frequently does, lead into homosexuality
OK, indulge me here. Do you have any links to articles other than Watchtowers that say this? And if I look up the quotes of the scientists that say this will they be in context? Because last I checked there was more proof found for homosexuality being part of a genetic code than to masturbation, in fact I've never even heard that concluded ever. And I read alot of scientific studies on social behavior. Please post a couple of proofs of this because I don't believe this at all.
Surely the watchtower puts sources in to their articles, can you quote some of these sources they use? Hopefully they site the source and the author of the quote, if its really from a scientific foundation then we should be able to find the original paperwork it was noted in. I'm absolutely willing to read whatever sources you have but they have to be based in fact not just opinion. The comment I replied to stated all this like it was fact, but if theres nothing to back it up then its opinion
Young People Ask (1989) p.201 Ch.25 Masturbation-How Serious Is It?
A "Tranquilizer"
This young woman's experience reveals what is undoubtedly the greatest reason why the habit can be so hard to break. She continues: "Usually I masturbated to release pressure, tension, or anxiety. That fleeting pleasure was like the drink the alcoholic takes to calm his nerves."
People move on in different ways. I had moved on then the birth of my daughter brought this whole thing reeling back. I just felt this was something I needed to do before I could get it all behind me, I needed to say outloud all the questions I had, surpressing them just made it worse. You probably feel differently, maybe surpressing doubts cleans your soul; not for me.
Hey Tim, if you were a True PATRIOT, you would sacrifice your virgin daughter to let God know how willing you are to take a stand against homosexuality. God would appreciate that offering and make your name very famous.
I know huh? I guess I'll never be a true patriot, which is sad I'd have four superbowl rings, a boss finisher named Uncle SLAM, and Mel Gibson starring as me (joke about being called Patriot).
This turned out to be a simple one. Yada basically means to "know" either by thought or experience. But in Genesis Adam KNEW Eve by sexual intercourse. So it can mean either of those things. Abomination or "detestable thing" in Ezekial simply means idolatry. These are not mistranslations. Hebrew words have different shades of meaning. Read the Greek Expository Dictionary and it will tell you that.
You're confusing Yada and Shakab. Shakab is the know in the sexual sense. Detestible thing was the word for Idolatry, so why not translate it that way instead of as detestable thing which leaves an open door to put homosexuality.
Now you're really not making any sense. You say in the video the men wanted to "get acquaintance" with the angels now you say they wanted to kill them? You are very confused.
That's what the word in hebrew means. Get aquainted with, not rape. You asked "What wicked thing would the men do to the angels?" So I gave you an example. What would people of an ancient culture want to do to people they don't know who entered their town without permission, kill them possibly? Now if someone offered their virgin daughters to be sacraficed instead...yeah but offering virgin women to homosexuals makes much more sense :/
So "get aquainted with" mean to kill? You accuse other people of changing the definiton the word Yada and you just did the same thing. You make no sense. Clearly the only reason you made this video is to try to justify your lifestyle. I think it's time for you to move on with your life and stop making all these videos questioning an religion you no longer belong to.
Yada still means get aquainted with, but since you can make an interference that it meant to rape based on Lot's next phrase I can make an interference based on his next action. Can I say anything defending homosexuality without being gay? I just celebrated my five year wedding anniversary on 6/13 thank you. The last sentence gets to the heart of the matter, you're threatened by my video. Only 9 more to go, stick it out.
My guess would be that you have no clue what you're talking about. There's no evidence that what you are saying has any validity. And it really makes not a bit of difference why Lot acted the way he did, just that he did. Bible critics often make unfounded claims about translating. Even if I took to time to research it, it would reveal to me that your are misinformed, I'm SURE.
Sorry IrreversibleCurse, Christianity as duped the masses into worshiping a violent blood thirsty war god that demands human blood and strict obedience.
Genesis 19:7 and said, "No, my friends. Don't DO THIS WICKED THING. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't DO ANYTHING TO THESE MEN, for they have come under the protection of my roof."
The context is clear that they wanted to do more than talk. You are not using common sense. The verse clearly says they were going do something wicked to the angels.
I don't think you're using common sense here, if they wanted to rape a man, why would they settle for a woman. Isn't virgin sacrafice something ancient cultures did? Maybe they wanted to kill the angels because they weren't approved to be in the town. Ancient cultures usually didn't allow people in towns that they didn't know. Really, connect all the dots not just the ones you want to.
Add to this, think about the importance of that. A city's inhabitants tried to rape angels, a spirit creature God sent to earth. Wouldn't you think later scriptures would've at least mentioned that part of the story when talking about Sodom being condemend instead of mentioning blanket sins?
IrreversibleCurse, Tim brings up some very important issues. Why would a man offer up his virgin daughters? Answer: HUMAN SACRIFICE. The only people who outlaw homosexuality & persecute homosexuals are homosexual pedophiles of the elite governing class of religions & governments.
In regards to your first and third question men who like men and women are still considered to be homosexuals. So when it say all the men were homosexuals that doesn't mean they didn't like women as well.
In answer to your second question the word isn't mistranslated. Looking at the context Lot told not to try and "know" the men because that would be wicked and he goes on to say take his daughter because they are virgins and Lot also go on to say "do nothing" to the men which suggest that the "know" in this context is an action and not just asking questions and is of a sexual nature.
Also homosexuality wasn't the only sin being praticed in Sodom and Gomorrah. Everything from idolatry, spiritism, lawlessness, and murder was being praticed. God would not of destroyed the whole city if just idolatry or just homosexuality was being praticed. Mostly all ancient civilazations were pagan but none were destroyed like Sodom and Gomorahh. That tells us they were committing a whole bunch of sins.
There's another word for "Get to know" in the sexual sense, that's Shakab. That's the one you're thinking of, in this sense as mentioned in 933 other cases this word was used to basically introduce people. I don't know would you want to introduce Angels of the one true God to heathen people who sacrafice humans to another God? I probably wouldn't, but maybe you would.
Aren't people who like both men and women considered BI-sexuals, not homosexuals. I guess we could reverse the question, if a group of men wanted to rape your daughter do you think you could distract them by offering them your son to have sex with? Hey they MIGHT like men too.
A man who likes men is a homosexual regardless of if he likes women or not. The term bi-sexual is a modern term of our culture and the concept didn't exsist in the ancient world and in many parts of the world today. Using the logic of bi-sexualism I can have sex with men and not be a homosexual with makes not sense. A man who like men is a homosexual period.
There's a bit of a difference I feel, Nero was a bi-sexual, probably a pedofile too but definetly bi-sexual. He had relations with both men and women, but mostly women. Hadrian was homosexual. He only had sex with men. I think you're assuming every homosexual can be tempted with women, I'm telling you that's not the case usually. If you're about to have sex with a fitness model would the offer to have sex with a 900 lbs shut in turn your head in the slightest? Hormones dictate.

TimKilgore 1 year ago
@TimKilgore Well then God bless you and I hope you find what you are looking for!
denny82184 1 year ago
@denny82184 The videos as a testiment to my daughter is what I was looking for. When she gets old enough and has her own questions, that's what they're there for. Again something in my first video.
TimKilgore 1 year ago
@TimKilgore What if she wants to learn the Truth when she gets older?? And are your parents JW??
denny82184 1 year ago
@denny82184 Then teach her the whole truth and not just the part that the organization wants to teach her. Yes my parents are JWs.
TimKilgore 1 year ago
@TimKilgore I am very happy to know your parents are JW... and that you would allow your daughter to learn if she chooses to. Why dont you sit with your parents and ask them all those questions you have? Tim I get the feeling that you may not be an apostate but rather someone that is just confuse, is that fair to say??
denny82184 1 year ago
@denny82184 Again, first video I say I've spoken with them several times regarding it. Luckily you jumped to the conclusion and called me an apostate four times already in this conversation.
TimKilgore 1 year ago
@TimKilgore And still you find no satisfaction with what your parents have explained!?!? Do you consider yourself an apostate?? Or do you feel you can turn to Jehovah again or is there no hope of that ever? I humbly apologize for calling you an apostate if you think you can turn to Jehovah again... again I feel you are lost spiritualy am I wrong to say that?
denny82184 1 year ago

@TimKilgore Can you send me that video I really do not know where to start looking. Thanx... talk to you soon!

I understand that you do no choose to be gay but that does not give you the permission to act on it either!
denny82184 1 year ago
@denny82184 Wow, so with all those stops in the video regarding what the words meant in hebrew, all those questions regarding what did and didn't make sense in the story this is the comment you make? The question dealt with whether there sin really was homosexuality or not, I never even mentioned whether it was right or wrong. There's no possible way you are that dense to miss that throughout the video, so did you not watch it and want to say something homophobic?
TimKilgore 1 year ago
@TimKilgore I didnt bother watching the video... I actually stoped it at 58 seconds! Because I notice it was a series, you spend a whole lot of time bashing JW and I dont care for people that bash other people's believe! And for your info I am a JW! And I am not a homophobic I actually have several people in my family that are homosexuals not JW and I have a relationship with them... it is not my business who people sleep with thats between them and God!
denny82184 1 year ago
Actually Tim, God already explained this on his Youtube channel.

This is the first time I've heard the Sodom and Gomorah's only sin was homosexual practices.
As to the translation of "getting to know someone", I know that sometimes some phrases have to be translated differently in context.
In Japanese, for example, the verb "to lick" also can mean "to mess with". Many times when I've heard "Namenaide" (lit. don't lick me) been said, it's only usually translated as "Don't F*** with me"
Gah, I really need to learn Hebrew. :p
<3 Darling Nikki
NeoNikkiChan 2 years ago
There's actually a completely different word used for the "get to know" that they commonly translate this as. You only need to learn Hebrew if you need complete evidence for an argument with a stubborn person. Well you're dealing with JWs, so um, yeah learning Hebrew would be a good idea :)
TimKilgore 2 years ago
Even if I was 100% fluent in Hebrew, I doubt I would be able to change minds. :(
NeoNikkiChan 2 years ago
You clearly do not know the bible. You are not going after the lies JWs tell, but you are just clearly going after the bible, period! You clearly do NOT want to know the Truth, otherwise you wouldn't be saying that the bible is not true. The bible states that the angel only found 4 righteous people living in Sodom, so it is true. And "knowing" somene in bible terms means having sex with them.
1Hope4All 3 years ago
you didnt catch the point here. tim didnt say there was more than 4 rightous people, he said that the homosexuality was not the reason why sodoma and gomorra got destroied. a good example is when the pharisies in John cap 8, went to stone a prostitue to death, but Jesus said that the ones that hadnt commit sin should throw the first rock. do you think jesus would say something different about a homosexual?

uhm... they weren't killed because they were gay dood... but because they had no respect for sex or each other AT ALL. Sexual behaviour is just a reflection of the condition of someones ego self perception and heart condition. And it would have been the psychological conditions of these people that Jehovah would have been referring to... not specific sexual practises.
v1s10naryman 3 years ago
I never said they were killed for being gay, that's the common misconception I'm asking about here. Why do so many people interpret it that way when there's so many questions that come up if you do.

IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
I think given the evidence this is a VERY strong story about idolatry and worshipping the true God, when looking at the facts the homosexuality bit just doesn't seem to make sense. So the point of this question is more so why interpret a bible story one way when it could very well have nothing to do with the way it's being interpreted.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
So do you believe the Bible condems homosexuality?
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
You'll notice in my videos I never say that the bible doesn't. My other question about homosexuality was about homosexuality in nature and this one is why Sodom and Gomorrah's sin is equated to homosexuality when the facts point otherwise. The bible condemns alot of weird things though, homosexuality is just one of them.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
IrreversibleCurse, do you believe the bible promotes violence, hate, and fear? And is this healthy for children?
briana62 3 years ago
Matthew 5:39 But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.44But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
I see not promotion of hate, violence, or fear.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
IrreversibleCurse, do you not see any violence there? Why are blood sacrifices a restful odor to Jehovah?
briana62 3 years ago
Masturbation (like homosexuality) ignores or bypasses that natural arrangement. It is one form of leaving "the natural use of the female" for "one contrary to nature." The vestige of God-given conscience that is inherent in all humans, therefore, makes itself heard in disapproving of such practice, causing an internal sense of guilt.-Compare Romans 1:26, 27; 2:14, 15.
rreversableCurse 3 years ago
The only reference to masturbation is in the case with Onan and that was really about a man having sex with his brother's widow then purposely pulling out because he didn't want to have children with her. We're veering off subject here with the bible promoting violence, that's dealt with in my question about letting my child watch an R Rated movie or read the bible.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Because the practice is one "contrary to nature," the masturbator pays a mental penalty. The habitual practice cripples his social and emotional development, hinders his attaining a healthful outlook and attitude toward the other sex and toward people in general. It can 'turn the person inward' upon himself, making him introverted. Or it can, and frequently does, lead into homosexuality
rreversableCurse 3 years ago
OK, indulge me here. Do you have any links to articles other than Watchtowers that say this? And if I look up the quotes of the scientists that say this will they be in context? Because last I checked there was more proof found for homosexuality being part of a genetic code than to masturbation, in fact I've never even heard that concluded ever. And I read alot of scientific studies on social behavior. Please post a couple of proofs of this because I don't believe this at all.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
its all from watchtower publications..there are many more
rreversableCurse 3 years ago

I'm not threatened by any of your amatuer videos. I'm just annoyed with your stupidity and think you need to move on with the rest of your life.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
People move on in different ways. I had moved on then the birth of my daughter brought this whole thing reeling back. I just felt this was something I needed to do before I could get it all behind me, I needed to say outloud all the questions I had, surpressing them just made it worse. You probably feel differently, maybe surpressing doubts cleans your soul; not for me.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Hey Tim, if you were a True PATRIOT, you would sacrifice your virgin daughter to let God know how willing you are to take a stand against homosexuality. God would appreciate that offering and make your name very famous.
briana62 3 years ago
I know huh? I guess I'll never be a true patriot, which is sad I'd have four superbowl rings, a boss finisher named Uncle SLAM, and Mel Gibson starring as me (joke about being called Patriot).
TimKilgore 3 years ago
This turned out to be a simple one. Yada basically means to "know" either by thought or experience. But in Genesis Adam KNEW Eve by sexual intercourse. So it can mean either of those things. Abomination or "detestable thing" in Ezekial simply means idolatry. These are not mistranslations. Hebrew words have different shades of meaning. Read the Greek Expository Dictionary and it will tell you that.
HeresyB12 3 years ago
You're confusing Yada and Shakab. Shakab is the know in the sexual sense. Detestible thing was the word for Idolatry, so why not translate it that way instead of as detestable thing which leaves an open door to put homosexuality.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
I did not confuse the words. I don't see why the translation is confusing, because it isn't.
HeresyB12 3 years ago
Tim please tell me what's the wicked thing that the men wanted to do with the angels? Ask them questions?
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
They could've wanted to kill the men who entered their town without permission.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Now you're really not making any sense. You say in the video the men wanted to "get acquaintance" with the angels now you say they wanted to kill them? You are very confused.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
That's what the word in hebrew means. Get aquainted with, not rape. You asked "What wicked thing would the men do to the angels?" So I gave you an example. What would people of an ancient culture want to do to people they don't know who entered their town without permission, kill them possibly? Now if someone offered their virgin daughters to be sacraficed instead...yeah but offering virgin women to homosexuals makes much more sense :/
TimKilgore 3 years ago
So "get aquainted with" mean to kill? You accuse other people of changing the definiton the word Yada and you just did the same thing. You make no sense. Clearly the only reason you made this video is to try to justify your lifestyle. I think it's time for you to move on with your life and stop making all these videos questioning an religion you no longer belong to.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
Yada still means get aquainted with, but since you can make an interference that it meant to rape based on Lot's next phrase I can make an interference based on his next action. Can I say anything defending homosexuality without being gay? I just celebrated my five year wedding anniversary on 6/13 thank you. The last sentence gets to the heart of the matter, you're threatened by my video. Only 9 more to go, stick it out.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
My guess would be that you have no clue what you're talking about. There's no evidence that what you are saying has any validity. And it really makes not a bit of difference why Lot acted the way he did, just that he did. Bible critics often make unfounded claims about translating. Even if I took to time to research it, it would reveal to me that your are misinformed, I'm SURE.

IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
I don't think you're using common sense here, if they wanted to rape a man, why would they settle for a woman. Isn't virgin sacrafice something ancient cultures did? Maybe they wanted to kill the angels because they weren't approved to be in the town. Ancient cultures usually didn't allow people in towns that they didn't know. Really, connect all the dots not just the ones you want to.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Add to this, think about the importance of that. A city's inhabitants tried to rape angels, a spirit creature God sent to earth. Wouldn't you think later scriptures would've at least mentioned that part of the story when talking about Sodom being condemend instead of mentioning blanket sins?
TimKilgore 3 years ago
IrreversibleCurse, Tim brings up some very important issues. Why would a man offer up his virgin daughters? Answer: HUMAN SACRIFICE. The only people who outlaw homosexuality & persecute homosexuals are homosexual pedophiles of the elite governing class of religions & governments.
briana62 3 years ago
In regards to your first and third question men who like men and women are still considered to be homosexuals. So when it say all the men were homosexuals that doesn't mean they didn't like women as well.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
In answer to your second question the word isn't mistranslated. Looking at the context Lot told not to try and "know" the men because that would be wicked and he goes on to say take his daughter because they are virgins and Lot also go on to say "do nothing" to the men which suggest that the "know" in this context is an action and not just asking questions and is of a sexual nature.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
Also homosexuality wasn't the only sin being praticed in Sodom and Gomorrah. Everything from idolatry, spiritism, lawlessness, and murder was being praticed. God would not of destroyed the whole city if just idolatry or just homosexuality was being praticed. Mostly all ancient civilazations were pagan but none were destroyed like Sodom and Gomorahh. That tells us they were committing a whole bunch of sins.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
There's another word for "Get to know" in the sexual sense, that's Shakab. That's the one you're thinking of, in this sense as mentioned in 933 other cases this word was used to basically introduce people. I don't know would you want to introduce Angels of the one true God to heathen people who sacrafice humans to another God? I probably wouldn't, but maybe you would.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Aren't people who like both men and women considered BI-sexuals, not homosexuals. I guess we could reverse the question, if a group of men wanted to rape your daughter do you think you could distract them by offering them your son to have sex with? Hey they MIGHT like men too.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
A man who likes men is a homosexual regardless of if he likes women or not. The term bi-sexual is a modern term of our culture and the concept didn't exsist in the ancient world and in many parts of the world today. Using the logic of bi-sexualism I can have sex with men and not be a homosexual with makes not sense. A man who like men is a homosexual period.
IrreversibleCurse 3 years ago
There's a bit of a difference I feel, Nero was a bi-sexual, probably a pedofile too but definetly bi-sexual. He had relations with both men and women, but mostly women. Hadrian was homosexual. He only had sex with men. I think you're assuming every homosexual can be tempted with women, I'm telling you that's not the case usually. If you're about to have sex with a fitness model would the offer to have sex with a 900 lbs shut in turn your head in the slightest? Hormones dictate.
