Too be honest, dobe's always scared me. one day i was at the vet, and one walks up next to me and starts nudging me as if he was saying "pet me, give me attention"

so i asked the owner, "is he friendly?" he said, "annoying is probably a better word"

I used to throw a Frisbee for my friend's Doberman to chase. While he was running to catch it, I would take off the other way running, and he would drop the Frisbee and run after me and knock me down. I'd be laughing so hard that when I tried to stand up, he'd knock me down again and again like, "That'll show you." P.S. I LOVE Pablo, too!

theyre pretty cool, but 1/arent show standard, 2 are photophobic (cant stand being outside or in bright light) 3 are prone to schitzophrenia, so imho, i would prefer 1 of the 4 normal colours, the fawns and blues look awesome, and are show legal!

I love this video, that is so awesome. My dog is half Alaskan Husky Half Austalian Shephard so she is fast and agile,very big and fluffy, and she has one blue eye and one brown eye with floppy ears and a big husky tail. I love my doggy. lol

Nope, it's said to be the greyhound the fastest, then the Doberman, but because of there are a lot of other hounds unknown to the mainstream, it's hard to say who is really second to the greyhound.

To be honest I don't think it has ever been said that the doberman is second to the greyhound in speed!! "Racing hounds", do you mean 'sight hounds'? I'm guessing that most if not all sight hounds would be faster than a doberman as they were bread to chase down prey using their speed. Not that doberman are slow....they're not, but they are compared to a whippet for example. Search for video under " doberman whippet oval" and you'll see the difference.

All I was trying to say is that there are many quicker dogs than the doberman. It seems that you don't like being told differently. You don't see many doberman races....you do whippet...... there's a reason for that! I'm just going on common knowledge here in England. I haven't got evidence. Yeah. I have a sighthound, a Pharaoh Hound. She's pretty fast and I swear she has batteries in her... once she sleeps, she wakes up and is bundles of energy and hyperness... But I love it. Pharaoh Hounds are actually naturally faster then Greyhounds, seeings the Greyhound decended from the Pharaoh Hounds. PH was the first domesticated breed of dog.

Well, Greyhounds are the fastest as the supposedly highest record recorded was 40 to 45 mph. But you get what I was saying to say in that there are so many sighthounds that are not accounted for.

Oh no, I completely understand. I used to go to Lurecoursing to watch the dogs race, it's so much better then greyhound racing and much safer too. They get a nice grassy field and a plastic bag to shred to pieces when they finish the course. It's amazing watching those dogs run. SO beautiful.

Doberman Pinscher is a working breed, it's why they're not build for speed, they're built for strength. I hated walking down the beach with my dobies and everyone acted scared cause of the doby rep.. COME ON EVERYONE, DOBIES ARE SWEET AND GENTLE! They act the way their owners have trained them.
