I see you have been taking care of yourself, thats good. Thanks for sharing this one with us as it was quite pleasant on the eyes and ears,,,,,the sights were exotic looking for me ( not yOU, the water and stuff, LOL!) and the audio track was so calming :)

I visited Magnetic Island many years ago and it was such a beautiful island.

I stayed at 'Jeff's Place' and it had such a great vibe. Having drinks and sharing stories with backpackers from all around the world was heaps of fun, and Jeff's Place had these cute little chalets which were a novelty in themselves.

I wonder if they're still there.

I was also lucky enough to witness the toad races at Arcadia.

You haven't lived unless you've witnessed them..!!

Well Geoff's Place, as it was called is still there but now is "Koala Village" and still has the wee chalets. Backpackers still seem to be common. The toad races are alive and well too.

great video man. I spoke to my grandma who lives in Canbarra, she wants me out there soon. Anyways, I Google mapped this place and man it sure is nice. It has lots of history all the way back to World War 2. Awesome vid 5/5

Oh Maggie's history goes back before that mate. James Cook's compass went haywire as he was charting this part of the coast in 1770 and it was HE that in fact gave the island it's name. Now it's magnetism in more in that people are simply attracted to the beauty.
