what is a module used for? is it not the thing that make the radio waves, so when you are using the Tx as a simulator, wouldn't it be better not to use the module so that it will give you better battery life?
@LTF85199 Hi, battery life? I think, a safe using of radio is more important. And if you will often remove a module, you can seriously damage a wire to antenna...
@LTF85199 I used a usb to 3.5mm sim cable and transmitter works without the battery when plugged, so you don't have to worry about battery life.
I use the "9 in 1 USB Simulator Cable Support FMS G4/G4.5/G5 XTR AeroFly RC RealFlight" which I got from eBay for 17$. It comes with the above sims plus Phoenix RC 3 and Reflex XTR 5.03
thank you. it works with out the module, but it could not be calibrate i have try it so many time without module and i was not been able to calibrate it with the software
@ghassaantalhouk can you try it with "standard" USB interface, with calibrating in windows (in Control Panels in Game devices - joystick) and with for example RC Desk Pilot? How is your interface now? Maybe will be better, if you will send me a PM...
thank you for replying it is very clear in my mind now. the color of the resistor mixed me . i thought it is 1.5k Ohm. as per the chart of resistors color. but thank you very much .
thank i love it, i have try too many things, and i am almost got to buy a Futaba transmitter , but before buying it ( because i have to change my receiver on my helicopter) i will try this way. but i have a question about the resistor what is the size of it can you clarified it it is 1 k Ohm, how many watts. and the one that you have install it has different color then the regular 1 k Ohm resistor. can you please indicate all the description of the resistor that you have used it.
@ghassaantalhouk sorry, but I dont know, how many watts have resistor 1kOhM :)
Simply, you can use any 1kOhm resistor. Now I use a small SMD resistor... And color? Maybe in your country hase a resistors diiferent colors, I dont know. But important is value "1kOhm", not a color :)
Does this modification mess up anything in the er9x firmware. I saw a viewer post that he could no longer change mode 1 to mode 2 in his settings. Is this correct?
ok! good mod, just pardon me but I need to say "that was the fricken slowest walk through of my life". Ok, now that's off my chest I feel all better! I need to try this cuz the rc-tech dynam controller(USB, dealextreme) seems incompatible with most stuff except FMS.
@RIDERZcouk Hi, this mode ABSOLUTELY can't change a mode of your transmitter... :) I think, this is a "human factor" :) Simple, change a mode in your settings...
i tried Pheonix RC Sim with Eurgle 9x, the module is removable (
Even when the module is removed it doesn't work right, my throttle is mixed why my ailerons, all commands are wrong. Any solutions??

This is a one way mod.. Can't use the TX again for actual flying.

@oysterlicker Really?
Hmmm. I must hide it to my radio! Because I flew with this mode many months. And many and many other RC modelers too...

What signal is being changed? Either the ANT or the modulation. Why does this not affect normal transmission?

Arggggghhhh
This mode appears to have converted my TX to Mode 1
Great that it works in Phoenix so I can operate without removing the module but useless for my models and me as the tx was a Mode 2 version
Any ideas on a fix for this ?

Hi, thanks, you are correct, it was an error on my part, don't know what happened to be honest but all my other models still work OK
