  • living the life....God bless

  • I love this

  • I really enjoy watching your videos, looks like ALOT of fun. Not something I would attempt on my own though :D you have some guts to take on that kind of a remote trek.

  • how did you carry all that gear, a boat and camera equipment?

  • Bush planes had dropped off several bear-proof equipment caches for me earlier in the summer.

  • I can only praise you on completeing such a challenging trek, i salute you sir.

  • I didn't have a gun while I was backpacking. When I got to my boat I had a 30-06.

  • That was some trek. Did you bring a gun for protection? 500 s&w or something?

  • oh my gosh...that was incredible!

  • Wouldn't it be a pain carrying the camera gear, and setting it to get a shot of you walking then going back to re-get it....

    But anyway, really cool video.

  • There was some extra work in getting the trip on film but it was well worth it. It really brings the trip back to life to see the footage and it's a wonderful way to remember an awesome adventure.

  • oh wow. that looked like quite an amzing adventure. i really like the way the video was put together. you sure did see a lot. this makes me want to put my next adventure in alaska. im also lookin for a place to build a nice cozy cabin. ahhh alaska. sounds like a plan. =)

  • Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Gotta love Alaska and the fauna. I plan to go live in nature for awhile. Test my surviving skill ( To a certain degree... I wont go like Alexander " Supertramp ") Ground myself with Gaia

    Again, thanks for sharing.

  • Good video, wish i could of been there ..

  • "HEY BEAR!" lol

  • Great Video. Definitely captures the raw intensity of it all. Amazing footage and nice editing.

  • 00:26 it looks like you're being charged by a grizzly! Also it didn't look like you were carrying a firearm anywhere in the video, I would be scared to hike across Alaska without protection from Grizzlies.

Really nice video, I hope I'll get to do that myself one day.

  • That grizzly was hurrying towards me, but I don't think it was really charging. Many of the wilderness grizzlies seldom if ever see people, and with their poor eyesight if they see something they'll come over hoping it's something to eat. Almost always when they get a good sniff of you they'll run.

  • this was funny. "Hey bear!".

  • I wanted him to know I was a person and not a snack!

  • what kind of fish was that.

  • The fish with the big dorsal fin is a grayling. I also caught charr, which look much like a rainbow or salmon or even a brook trout depending on the time of year. There were also many salmon in the river.

  • living the dream mate.

  • I used to live in Slana Alaska. Great Video!

  • Alone? Or with a bear? :-)

  • Heeeey bear!!! hehehe Nice one ;)

  • nice grayling!!!!!!

  • nice vid this is how you make it up here make money off the land!guide or make movies good job it just make it alittle longer cool cool

  • awesome vid! I would love to do this someday(except not alone). but like implosion said.. i would probably never want to retutn to civilization.

  • That was amazing, do you live in Alaska?

  • Thanks! Yes, I live near Fairbanks.

  • like fairbanks where chris died?

  • Do you mean Chris as in Chris McCandless? If so, I guess sort of, it was southwest of here a way, though.

  • wow i just saw the movie and im halfthrough the book right now and i just dont know what to think of him. he was whether a complete genius or the greatest fool ive ever seen :), however your video is awesome. keep up the good work !

  • While I admire people who go out and live their lives, McCandless overestimated his own skills and made numerous serious errors in judgment in his last adventure.

  • I'm not experienced enough to do it alone but with a balls to the wall mountain guru like this...no problem!

  • Nice vid!

  • Can't get enough of this... Only problem is if I ever went up there and did all this, there's no way I'd never return to civilization.

  • Incredible... the ultimate destination! I would live for the scene at 1:25 and 1:33... WOW! Actually, I love every beautiful second here!

  • that was amazing. Your like suvivor man on TV. I bet it sucks having to go back and get the camera. Next time take me I'll be the camera man. not in a gay way i just love alaska. Peace

  • Awesome video

i cant wait till i can do that after i graduate from highschool

    stupid oklahoma

  • What kind of a fish was that with the big dorsal fin?

  • It was an Arctic Grayling.

  • Nice video man, hope to see a longer one.

  • I've got a slightly longer version: Check out my other one called Alone Across Alaska: 1,000 Miles of Wilderness.
