  • I think this song is exactly where keith started developing his taste for weird sci-fi, offbeat rap

  • look up dub plate pressure to hear another awesome use of the guitar sample

  • "I teach kids and ducks I burn"

  • They don't make tracks like this anymore. Kool Keith completely destroyed the rulebook when it came to rhyming. Rappers are still trying to catch up even 2011 and counting.

  • @HazardTraining Keith changed the game. I think hes the foundation to alot of rhyme styles, flows and deliveries that came after the mid 80's. Shit he was doing in '85 still goes over peoples heads. Its just an opinion but I looked at Keith as being the greatest just because UMC's came out with so much innovation with the sampling and the break beats.

  • Is this the track from the thrasher skateboarding game on PS ONE?

  • Cut em' with a lawn mower twice...Damn.

  • sounds like where eazy e come from...dr dre been influenced by underground east coast hiphop from the jump..

  • one muthafucka must have been dissed by keith in the past

  • Classic...

  • That were great times when playing Thrasher: Skate and Destroy.

  • kool keith legend! to the one that dislikes, go listen to eminem!!!!

  • I've always wondered if "Like fish, it ain't my favorite dish" (1:20 - 1:22) was a Rakim diss, because Rakim says on Paid In Full ("like fish which is my favourite dish).

  • @exkimo64 Yes, it was. It took me years to figure it out but Kool Keith was going at Rakim hard on that album (see "Ain't It Good To You"). The funny part is most heads didn't really fuck with Ultra like that to even notice, including the MC's he was dissin', lol.

  • @oskamadison Thank you it's bothered me for so long. Rakim ever figure it out?

  • @exkimo64 Ra could probably have cared less. He was preoccupied with Kane.

  • The 1 dislike must be a disgruntled Soulja Boy fan.

  • This is one Big Track.

I Saw The Ultra Magnetic MC's when they came to London way back in 1989

  • Timeless

  • Best drumbeat ever!

  • Could listen to this tune again and again......amazing....brilliant lyrics

  • @obglobgablob no doubt!! Keith was my favorite MC back then.. he used to say some outlandish type shit. Like when he says "quickly imma rip your brain off/throw it down, so the blood can drain offa my hands" I mean some visual SHIT!! that is what I liked about his lyrics, close your eyes and make a video to his lyrics in your brain.. was fucking SICK!! back when niggas was talking about Troops and dookie ropes.. These Ultramag niggahs was way the fuck out there.. Still one of my top favorites!

  • @bitchslap22003

That's great. But do you have to talk to me like a gangster. You're on the internet.

  • @obglobgablob sorry homie, but im not gonna play your game....enjoy your existence...

  • probley one of the sickest rappers of all time.

  • @DJGregTheShocker yea.. to me he is the sickest rapper.. still to this day the stuff he was saying over 20 yrs ago speaks for itself

  • ''imma rip your brain off throw it down so the blood can drain off my hands while i waive to a fan''

  • this song is fuckin phenemonal

  • Ya God-damn right!!

  • yup

  • i´m crying man! this was my first album i bought... emotions......this song......damn!

  • damn oldschool shit!

    love this type of rap

    agree to rubster1975

  • the utimate hiphop. Both the beat and the lyrics are perfect. It's one.

  • yea Keith had a way of synching with the beat on a whole 'nother level. His lyrics and flow used to fit so perfect to all the beats which by themselves were on another level.

  • The JB's Givin Up Food for Funk sped up a bit there!

  • @Parrock1 James Brown's "Cold Sweat" up in there, too...the background beat 'n James' gruntin'!!!

  • @Parrock1

Yeah...BDK used it too on the Wrath...works well

  • that's some hot shit

  • never knew they shouted out other rappers

  • imma rip ya brain off throw it down so the blood can drain off

  • Ahhhhhhhhhh yeah!!

  • ♫♪♪♫♪♫♫

  • double k refers to this in critical condition

  • ULTRAMAGNETIC MCs were the first to use extensive vocabulary, and think of abstract concepts.

    absolutely classic.

the line "WITH SHADOWS/ HALLUCINATING BATTLES!" was sikk, never mind for 1988.

  • @insanemacbeth True indeed...they were like hip hop's first scientists...the way Ced took scraps of samples, chop'd them up, 'n whip up some 5-star restaurant beats, 'n Keith 'n his patented "off-beat" delivery...SICK!!!
