  • I would have been there, but I was 3 year old! x

  • Well...

  • heh heh lennie was our leader la la la

  • Lush

  • Oldcastle was always better than Newcastle...

  • see your'e fashion sense has not improved.OH BORO WE LOVE YOU.

  • Yea, remember this game, funny thing a few years earlier Glasgow Rangers played there and invaded the pitch not many geordies there that night

  • @BarryCFCOK there was after the game though mate when u made the mistake of stopping off in cowgate for a pint remember

  • @turksmikey I am a Chelsea fan but just remember Rangers taking over the ground seeing on telly

  • @BarryCFCOK two lines of police with arms linked meant newcastle couldnt get out of the leazes end and they jumped abuot the pitch a bit thats all it was

  • 0:24 - I didn't know Father Jack was in the Toon Army.

  • Quite funny seeing all those youngsters on the pitch, then the police arresting a 40 something year old!!!

Who's that in the No. 7 shirt, right at the end?

  • wasnt this match replayed at goodison as im sure i went to it an everton fan

  • @TommyWindsor1 According to the Guardian, the FA did order a replay on neutral ground, which finished 0-0. So there was a second replay, which Newcastle won 1-0. Both were at Goodison.

  • geordie scum

  • @johnnyc110 mackem fucking puffs

  • hahah ma dad was there

  • It was a strange day. I was about 15 and remember the game very well. The Forest players didn’t relish coming close to the stands after the restart and didn’t play well. There was one young lad with a catapult giving them what-for. At any other Newcastle match he would have had his lugs slapped by the older guys but that day they kept him supplied with pennies!

Strange thing mob rule. Gentle folk turn into monsters.

  • the great bobby moncur

  • haha was great day leazers ender 3-1 down 4-3 up and we nearly won the cup lol

  • Incredible day. The most amazing match I've ever witnessed. The atmosphere was absoluteley electric.

  • I was there. The most amazing game I've ever seen. Pure adrenaline.

  • FOOTBALL FANS OFFICIAL WEBSITE: footballclubs. ucoz. net

  • Famous! Thanks for the upload!

  • about time we invaded some shitty little towns again hey hey i will have a lager and line please mate

  • Another Fucking RIOT thtas what we need, Div 1 fucking hell

  • Cheating Geordie Bastards !

    c u next season

  • wahey!! ...thats me at 0:11 wearin the oxford bags, platforms and sporting that gorgeous scrag cut!!!

  • well...the gutless forest players and supporters were scared shitless.. but the ref was absdolute crap (and yes I was there)..

  • Wow. Did you run out on the field?

  • yh wel they wud b wen u got alode ov geordie mugs stormin in oh and outnumberd cums 2 mind maby. look at the facts. n that is u cheeted 2 win

  • i was 14 at the times and forest had a terrific firm that day and put on show after the match. Even at the replays at Goodison park forest fans in the mood for revenge.Even today i know some forest still hate them geodies , second only to the sheepsgaggers Direby cunty.

  • when you watch this video, does it appear in the center with black bars on either side rather than full-screen?

  • 'Fairmount4ever' - it may surprise you, but widescreen television wasn't invented/introduced until the late 90s. Before then, pretty much all television was shown in that aspect ratio.

  • Doesn't surprise me, it's just that it was really really scrunched up in the middle when I made the comment. It's fine now, though.

  • its geordies

    get it right

  • Its geordies in the fizzy pop league for a few seasons and maybe even freefall

  • Forestttttt

  • Comment removed

  • And to think the mags are crying about the handful of Sunderland fans that ran on the pitch on Saturday. Hypocritical to say the least.

  • What was the score yesterday?

  • Dirty black and white bastards

  • stupid then, stupid now

  • Lighten up mate. It was a brilliant day and a totally justified pitch invasion. Don't you remember Barry Davies saying this about a bad decision which went against Leeds, "And Leeds will go mad. And they have every right to go mad" ?

We had every right to 'go mad' that day aswell although we paid for it in the final ;-(

  • this was my 1st away game.3-1 up then robbed.pissed all over geordies that day.on and off the pitch.the best thing that day was to here 12.000 forest fans chant .we hate geordies.and still chant it to this day.i know its not nice when some away teame invades your city is it...away the reds.lol

  • the gallowgate end only held about 15000,and the forest fans were in the middle taking up about a quarter, never saw any forest fans in the town or in any pubs before or after the game, you were marched to and from sjp from the central under police protection, the full game is available on vid 4 anyone to see, keep it real lad it cuts down on embarrassment

  • ok .so i was only 14.and 1st away game.but they do say there was 12.000 from notts.and where do u get the full vid of the match from.cheers

  • Forest "special trains" never went into the central station & we were all escorted to the ground. Funny thing is I've lived in Newcastle for more than 20 years & the Mags team & fans are never gonna go anywhere. They only see black & white, not a football match. Give me the Mackems any day, under no illusions, just get on with it.

  • it was manors station for those on trains and the cattlemarket for those on buses, the cattlemarket ajoined the central, both were escorted,im devastated you prefer the mackems

  • Can you get a full copy of this game from anywhere cos it was about the best I have been to.O

nly downside was I was only 13 so didn't have the Adult pleasures associated with "the Match"

PS no way were there any Forest in the Leazes they would have been slaughtered

  • can anyone remember a lad running onto centre circle and having a wank (or at lest a few pulls) in mid 70's? a kid yus not

  • i was in leazes with my dad age 9 (me not my dad). Exciting or wat? My sister was seen on look north getting on a bus to Everton for the dodgy replay - when she should have been in school. ooops. Haway the lads

  • I remember that day well. Forest were coasting then lost. On that particular day I was at Bolton to see West Brom and there was another big pitch invasion there when Bolton fans charged across the pitch towards us away fans.

  • till i fukin die

  • lol, the guy at the end had one second of fame

  • NUFC TILL I DIE HOWAY THE LADS

  • TOONARMY! we're gonna kick arse next season

  • Tell you how it was that day. Forest had a good mob snuck into the bottom corner of the leazes end & you lot panicked & ran on to the pitch, then decided to take it out on the 'normal fans' & clump a couple of players on the way. No firm barcodes still done fuck all.

  • NAR MATE I WAS HERE YOU... NO FORREST FANS IN THE LEAZES END.. YOU ARE LIVING IN COOCOO LAND .. IN THE 70s NO AWAY FANS WOULD DARE COME IN THE LEAZES END...BECAUSE THAY WOULD NEVER GET OUT .MAKE NO MISTAKE

  • hey guess what forest hard boy.i was at your place in 87 last game of the season,i'll not bother telling any one else about what happend

but the hint is" chased off your own pitch by blokes dressed as fred flinstone"

  • You jardies are still wearing the same clothes now.

  • ben waiting or this clip for years,...cheers

  • Fucking hell where did that clip come from i was 8 and on the pitch used to stand in leazes end under TEAM UP WITH THE ARMY ADVERT always remember that. 30p to get in match and 5p a bag of nuts off the bloke in white coat.He could hit you fom 300 yards with those paper bagga nuts happy days.

  • that must have been so much fun to do

  • just read your comments paddy,i had thought your fathas name was paddy aswell, cheeors

  • naa me fathers name was Lennie, it was his first time at a newcastle game for years and he was full of drink and just wanted to have a laugh, i know people still say to this day he was a grass but it was never proven

  • i was there standing and talking to your fatha before the invasion, he was telling me he hadnt been to a match for years, the next thing i know he's on the pitch getting chasted off the coppas

god that day will live with me the rest of my life!

  • and what a laugh it was

  • 3-1 doon 4-3 up now wa gona win the cup,a was to the right of the leazes goal as you look from the pitch,wa hoouse was like a tip for weeks afterwards,ad pinched the handle off me mothers broom and stuck a big union flag on it, that was the only time i can recall flagpoles being allowed in,there were banners tied all owa the girders under the leazes roof, happy days indeed,ps wasnt it paddy conroy who instigated the fun ?

  • nearly won the cup...........some auld story cunt

  • I was there and the atmosphere was brilliant!

  • 3-1 doon 4-3 up n we nearly won the cup!!!! amazing never forget that day RIP TERRY HIBBIT GAZ LOWES

  • I've never forgotten this from when I was a kid. This was one of the classic pitch invasions along with Man Utds when they got beat by Man City and were as good as relegated and Scotlands classic invasion at Wembley. Since terraces disappeared it has ruined the atmosphere at games. All the plastic supporters who discovered the game through their sky-tv package and Italia90 make me sick. Only a few clubs have true fans, You Geordies are definitely one of them! Some great clips on here.

  • never won out tht year and still havent to this day!

  • one day will never come geordies.. lol.nffc.clifton red...ps.we may be shit but we have history 2 prove weve won shit.

  • must be really proud

  • I am proud as fuck, my old man caused this riot singlehandedly, some people say he was a Grass but it was never proven. Mud sticks though and thats how some people think all conroys are grasses but not all of us are.

  • I`ll throttle you ya muppet.

  • this is my old man (Lenny Conroy) starting this riot, he is the one at the start of the vidio getting sook down to the ground for starting it, he is also seen getting led away by same police after you see the bit where the ref is pointing in the air

  • Wow, you had a video recorder in 1974?! Thanks for this, mate "Remember Nottingham Forest!". One day we will actually win a trophy and then there'll be dancin' on the pitch.

  • shit quility it was obviosly a camera phone
