the star power meter is a very thin bar running along the right of the chart. the disc on the left is for a special challenge that gives you more stars. this one is for a note streak on guitar. if you get a 400 note streak you get diamond. there's different ones for different songs
The challenges are for each song, but they are different. I.E. some songs are vocal challenges only, while some are full band only. This one happened to be for guitar only, and it was to get the highest streak you possibly could.
