  • I remember this in the 50's and part the 60's. It was resurrected about 10 or 15 years ago by PBS during their pledge campaign. They were offering it on VHS. Maybe they will offer the DVD now.

  • Thank you!! So wonderful to know others in my generation/ locale have treasured this video too!!

The fact that Ma Bell presented such a Bible-based account of the Nativity stuns me...How Far Away have we, as a society, Come from our Values and Truths???

Thank you . Thank you!! Kate in Pittsburgh,PA

  • when i was a child this was on tv Christmas Eve 3 or 4 times in the Philadelphia area. i watched it every time & it filled my heart with warm feelings about Christmas. it was sad when it didnt appear anymore. thank you for shareing this with all to see

  • I want to add my thanks for finding and sharing this wonderful video. My brother and I waited with delightful aticipation to this Bell Telephone presentation. We watched this faithfully every Christmas season--along with the Night Before Christmas marionette show that was presented along with it. For us--it just wasn't Christmas unless we viewed both of these shows. Thanks again for rekindling old memories of the best years of our young lives!

  • Thanks. Been searching for this for years. The last year it was broadcast in the Scranton PA market was 1965. And that narration by Alexander Scourby. Wonderful!

  • Wow- I havent seen this since I was a child. What a wonderful treasure it was to see this every Christmas Eve when I was growing up in New England in the late '50's and early 60's along with The Night Before Christmas! -- Thank you so much for placing this presentation here! I miss so much the way Christmas was honored on TV back then.

  • Thank you very much for posting the Beaton Marionettes. This production is a cherished treasure which I enjoyed since I was a child growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs. I wish there were more treasures which television would broadcast!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I have always loved watching this as a kid and it still warms my heart. Have a Merry Christmas!

  • Glad you liked it - This the Night Before Christmas and this Nativity is sort of burned in from repeated viewings as a kid. Just is not Christmas without it.

  • Awesome!!!

    My heart is touched!

    God Bless
