It's so ironic that he's so overly dramatic and unprofessional because there are more professional ways to go about it.... like stopping and telling the AD to get him off the set. If he had mentioned it already and it was still bothering him and he felt like no one was listening to his problem then maybe there is a reason for the BLOWUP...but 1st BLOWUP for something fuming under his skin...is kind of childish...

All this is very high stress levels from everyone one set and one thing pushing someone over the edge. This has always happened in films but with the internet it has just become a less private thing.

To anyone who doesn't work in the film industry, Christian Bale looks like the bad guy here. But to anyone who's worked on the set of a major film, his outrage is understandable and justified. Having a DP waltz around in the middle of a scene is just unheard of and plain unacceptable. It costs many thousands of dollars to re-shoot even a few seconds worth of footage.

To anyone who doesn't work in the film industry, Christian Bale looks like the bad guy here. But to anyone who's worked on the set of a major film, his outrage is understandable and justified. Having a DP waltz around in the middle of a scene is just unheard of and plain unacceptable. It costs many thousands of dollars to re-shoot even a few seconds worth of footage.
