Hey, what board is that? I am getting a new board this season and this one looks sick! I saw all of your videos and it seems perfect for what I do - park. All I do every day is park and this one seems pretty nice. I just have a few questions though. How durable, flexy, etc. is it? And I was also thinking about buying a pair of Flux RK30's to go along with it. Is that a good choice? Thanks!
@uhohavirus Hey sorry about the super late reply. I don't check my youtube account nearly often enough. I hope I'm not too late. The board is a K2 parkstar and I'm actually riding the Flux RK 30s in the video. Dude you can't go wrong with Fluxs. Best bindings ever.
hey whatsup geoff or whoever responds to these comments. When I try doing what's in this video and doing a 360, It seems like my board isn't keeping up with the spin too the point where I have to counter rotate my upper body, and usually only end up with a 180 or a bad 360. Do you have any experience with this problem, like could it be caused by lack of leg muscle or possibly not going off my edge enough on take off? Thanks
@maxv8989 To be honest, it sounds like your head isn't leading the rotation. The problem is rarely the board. Usually when people can't land spins it's because their heads aren't looking in the right direction. Watch the video again and focus on how my head leads the rotation. I hope that helps out, but I can't know for sure without actually seeing you ride.
@sk8erEkaJ I don't think you should try it off your toes. To me frontside off the heels is way cooler. Concentrate on having equal weight on both feet and don't favor your back foot. That's probably what's making you lean back. Maybe try the trick off of really small jumps or sidehits and then take it to a bigger jump.
@BIGmacjack978 It sounds to me like you're leaning back. Concentrate on having equal weight on both feet and don't favor your back foot. that should probably help a bit. And with your head, look down to the landing. You can't land if you don't see the ground coming.
Best Tip was the landing on towedge to avoid revert, never thought or heard that before , amazing:)
Ps. you shoul have slowed it down even further and let us see the jump inonly one clip the full 360 in Super-slow mo :p
Also i cant see at your ody that your popping, only that contraction of your knees, how do you pop, do you like, make a mini extension of your legs, or?? an explanation would be great, and thanks for a Great TTip :D
@leafblowinSK8 Thank you, and to answer your question about popping: To pop off a jump, it really just is an extension of your legs. I wouldn't worry to much about that part, just follow the trajectory of the jump, the jump does most of the work. The ollie flat ground is a different story. It's very difficult to explain by writing, perhaps we'll make a trick tip about it.
@leafblowinSK8 Anyways in short, to ollie, you load up your weight on the tail of your board, then jump upward with all the pressure on your tail. You use the natural spring of the board to help give you extra height then pull your legs up to give you as much height as possible. I hope that helps.
i spun too early and got a mouth full of snow

for some reason i just lean back really far like right off the lip.... should i do frontside off my toes instead?
sk8erEkaJ 10 months ago
@sk8erEkaJ
Think about keeping your shoulders parallel with the ground. This will keep you weight even and more balanced.

@BIGmacjack978 you are looking over your shoulder too much try to look more underneath it or at it kind of it will keep you stable
