One of the few times Johnny Sac tells Tony to F off and it's always a solid classic. NY at that moment had more muscle than Jersey and Tony knew it. At the end of the Sopranos series, Phil and Johnny Sac gone, Tony would have returned the favor to NY with the new timid boss as the new Sopranos gang became nastier with the killing of Phil leotardo.

I think the Johnny Sack character is loosely based on John Gotti and maybe a little bit of Lucky Luciano. Definitely someone you don't mess with unless you come to the meeting with intent to match him gun for gun.

Bottom line is Johnny Sac had more soldiers than him and if they went to war he knew Johnny could wipe him off the face of the Earth. At the same time he didn't just wanna give up his cousin like that. That's why he eventually killed Tony B himself. Part of it is principal.

@Chilling10680 Did you watch the show at all? They repeatedly say throughout the series that the Sopranos control North Jersey. Also, the Tony repeatedly bows down to and apeases the NY family. Multiple times throughout the series Carmine Sr. sons Tony and Tony can do nothing about it. Plus, Tony has to kick up to the NY family on multiple occasions. They DEFINATLEY aren't on the same lvel in the show or in real life.

@Chilling10680 But the Jersey family is smaller than the New York families. It was even said in one episode that Johnnys (then Phillys) family has "200 soldiers". That doesnt even include affiliates! That said the Jersey family (Cavalcante family, which Soparanos are based on) has many less members but are more "blue collar" and generally known as very tuff, even overley so. In fact in real life New York Families do not like how Jersey whacks those that only need a 'beating" by their standards.
