Love hearing the demo of "Pretty Vacant". I've always enjoyed that song. But please, tell me why they had to have Malcolm McLaren in this documentary? He screwed The Pistols so badly in many ways.

Because he was as much a part of the history as the band.

This would be a terrible documentary if they left out Malc. Whatever you think of him, whatever role you feel he had in the creation and success of the band is of no importance. The fact is, Malc was (actually, I should say "almost") as much a part of this band as John.

I was just going to write something very similar. As soon as I read Mmoo's post I thought exactly the same as you. It is obvious s/he is trying to sound intelligent but unfortunately for them real intelligent people are able to see right through them and see that s/he actually has nothing to say and has said nothing!

Anyway, in as much as they were boys in a band then yes, they were a boy band but if anyone thinks they were created by Malc, they are talking bollocks!

The Sex Pistols shook up the firmament of music and society more than any band in the last 40 years. The rummblings are still being felt today. Music and culture would never be the same again. And all of this caused by one band with one album. AMAZING!

Not accidental. Great Band. Intelligent Band. Introduced a new genre. 4 terrific chaps (even Glen) + Sid. N.M.T.B. is on par with The Velvet Underground's debut. When they came into my orbit in 1976 they changed my thinking. They're 1 or 2 years older than me. It's like playground hierarchy and they managed to piss off all the old school they and us were fed up with. Oh yeah, Johnny was the leader.
