No one knows the laws for orange tips is seems. Orange Tips are only required for transportation, legally. When you're on an airsoft field, assuming it's "legit", it's fine to remove the tip. It could vary from state to state but so far, it's seemed to be that way everywhere I travel. Also, this dissasembly guide isn't working for my M4. It's a JG S-system and all my screws are in different places. o.o

Hey to get to that screw that is connected to the gearbox that you mentioned inside the buffer tube, i have a cap on the end. And in order to get this cap off, there is a screw on the buffer tube that is VERY small and has six little notches. any idea what kind of screwdriver i need to get that thing off?

best thing to for removing a glued on Flash hiders 1. use a blow dryer to heat up the glue

2. soak the flash hider in hot water to loosen up the glue

Some M4 AEGs aren't held on by glue. My G&G Carbine is held on by a small hex screw. If you find the right hex wrench and unscrew it, it should work.

@Dracanon Think it varies on where your located. Here in Utah its illegal to SELL one without an orange flash hider, as well as to transport it via freeway openly. I avoid breaking that by keeping it concealed in a backpack on my back seat floor or in my trunk. You can use it without an orange flash hider on private property and should be cautious on public. My associated group and I play on both private and public land, and even on Federal Property up on Hill AFB with no problems...

@germanFBIagent ok its probably not a threaded flashider if its glued...wat you have to do is get a blow dryer and blow on the flashhider for about a good ten minutes...than you get a barrel adapter from evike...you glue that on...than you have your average 14mm counterclockwise threads so you can mount your new black flashiders traces or silencers

@germanFBIagent there are import laws in place that say that to import the gun to the us the copany has to super glue it on. on some guns like my jg m4 cqb-r there is a small set screw you need to remove. also flash hiders have a reverse screw thread, so to take it off turn it right. on mine i had to force it, like hold the gas block on the ground and put my weight on it. (im 6 foot 4 in for the ladies out there) then once you get it off take a razor blade and cut the dry glue away

you could just transfer the bucking from the old barrel to your new one

Not required, but it might be needed depending on various things like FPS, accuracy, etc.

You'll want a normal bucking if your gun is already doing well when adding on the 6.03 mm tight bore, and you surpass your local airsoft park's FPS limit.

If you are not pass that limit, then adding a good bucking such as a Prometheus or Systema bucking would be no problem.

Between this video, the m4 gearbox video, and the m4 reassembly video, I would have saved myself $30 getting the spring upgraded by some lowly airsoft shop! Replacing the dust cover normally requires the removal of the barrel assembly. We do not recommend this level of disassembly for the novice.
