  • Ollantay!

  • The origin of this dance is from Cusco, from the indigenous of Cusco. Peru Inka Folk are dancing the original form of the dance and they know the history of this dance. They are indigenous from Peru with family from Cusco, not Lima. Improvised dance is not better, not correct, and does NOT represent valicha. To promote what is incorrect is sad.

  • My apologies, I believe that it is great to find people promoting Peruvian folklore in the USA but sad that it is very easy to put videos that misrepresent valicha. My father is a Dance profesor from San Marcos and it seems a bit wrong. Just my honest opinion. If you want to see a way better Valicha it would be Ballet Folkorico Peru based in NJ. Cynthia Paniagua danced it!! That is more original.

  • correct me if I'm wrong incalove, but are these not youngsters? In any case-- so what--if every artist preformed the same exact way new or not would that be interesting?

thank you for sharing your dance, I enjoyed it.
