@haleusca i know her dance is just terrible she got a new routine but its still terrible and her beam routine is also really bad dance its veryy robotic i dont see how her dance can be so bad when she came out of a gym with the cute dance style of carly patterson and the grace of nastia liukin
There are a lot of guesses at what caused the unfortunate fall. You can barely hear it here, you can hear it better in videos of this routine with commentary, but as soon as she goes into her round - off, the timer from the beam goes off. I think she got distracted.
@TwisterFlipp95 I think that may have been what caused it......cause the timing matches right up. I think since it was her last pass, maybe she wasn't as focused as she was in the rest of her routine, and that caused her to fall......
that announcer would bug the hell out of me, i just got done with a routine that cost me the gold and she reminds me of my mistake. good thing this is an international competition and over half of the girls don't understand what shes saying. sheesh
ugh same with those judges who see if the gymnast is off centre or out of bounds. must be frustrating to have known that you just went OOB and then see a flag raised to remind you of the mistake.
I know I'm gonna get a zillion thumbs down for this, but there's absolutely no dance in this routine, unless you count nausea-inducing arm-waiving as choreo. Great tumbling, but she's gonna lose loads on E scores unless she cleans this up.
Such a shame...but she's got her whole career ahead of her. However, does anybody else find it unnerving that you can make an error that big and still get the silver medal? In the 96 AA Shannon Miller only was slightly low on a landing...she walked off the floor, started bawling, and barely finished in the top 10. The discrepancy between now and then is just too large.
I think she finished in the top 3 because she was over 1 point ahead of second place going into this round. So even with her mistake, she was still able to finish that high.
Actually Shannon landed low on the first pass, had problems with the next two passes, and went out of bounds on the last. Not a total disaster, but at the time they were huge mistakes.

well, consider the fact that Bross was rocking her first 3 events which no one else was doing, Tsurumi came close but she had issues with landings on FX and not much difficulty.
Lauren Mitchell down in 4th was shaky on everything and Sloan's BB was a wobbly mess.
If they had all hit like they could have, Bross might not have finished so high. Gymnastics is a lot harder these days which causes for less consistency, so everyone's making mistakes.
Yeah, that's what I thought too!! It's clearly something odd about it..! Definately not how she's suppose to do it, and thats probably why she fell!! :/

No, I agree with you. The dance in this routine is zero and what she has is really dross

gross not dross, lol

@haleusca
I completely agree! Rebecca is obviously very talented, but she's even more boring and messy than Nastia was.

I do agree with the whole arm waving thing, but tell you the truth, that's how all elite floor routines from the U.S. look these days.

Her passes and leotard remind me of Nastia Liukin's. That's just an observation I made... it's not meant to offend anyone.

Feel so bad for her... You never want to see gymnasts throwing away titles. It's okay, it was only her first Worlds!
