  • She was so little ! And cutee! Glad she won here :)

  • It will definetly be a good battle if she makes it to the AA in 2012. The top 6 in my opinion would be Wieber, Komova, Semenova, Jinnan, Quishuang, and Raisman. of course it could change, but i think these could possibly be the top 6 qualifiers.

  • @MrAerial12345 What!? As much as I love Semenova, she won't even make the 2012 team, let alone the AA! The top 6 qualifiers will probably be Komova, Mustafina, Wieber, Iordache, Jiannan, and then Johnson/Bross/Ross. Most likely of those three, I think Johnson.

  • her reaction was very cute

  • how old is she ? she is just amazing

  • @boomblastboom She was 15 in 2007, so now she's 19

  • @wadwadthenugget i dont complain about who wins and Im american. I think the best routine at the moment deserves it...so dont put all americans in a bundle

  • Three releases, pretty awesome!

  • This girl has a giant head.

  • i love so much that she doesn't have to bend her legs inbetween the bars! <3

  • How old is she? She's awesome but she looks even younger than my little sis.

But now matter her age, she's just amazing. Beating Nastia, well done.

  • she was so cute when she found out her score

  • I'm so happy for her. I love her gymnastics and her dismount is awesome she is so pretty too

  • I'm so happy for her. I love her gymnastics and her dismount is awesome

  • It's kinda funny that Elena Zamolodchikova and Semenova were competing at the same competition together. The age differential was 10 years.

  • She has one of the best Tkachev's I've ever seen.

  • she is so good

  • she looks like shes 14 years old

  • @mjufpn

No wonder since she was 14 years old at that time! She turned 15 years later in 2007!

  • When Bart says Delchev he sounds so confused

  • i can see her booty snatch

  • Nice routine

  • Ksenia is knock-kneed, a condition that is the opposite from being bow-legged. Her legs grow together towards the knees and then apart from the knees to the feet. That is why she has more trouble keeping her ankles together (and really can't, in fact). Rebecca Bross has a similar build.

  • I hate the way she arches into those piked Stalders.

  • @vesperholly I'm sure you wouldn't hate it if you won a world championship with them. I like how she arches in to them!

  • oh by the way He Kexin has lowered her start value to 7.4 for the coming worlds on bars. And Cheng Fei won't be competing because of an injury

  • She did not lower her start value. The new code of point starting 2009 require 8 element instead of 10. So her 7.7 was knock down to 6.8 like Nastia and Yilin but He upgrade her 6.8 to 7.4. I

  • Yea, because we all know how amazingly clean Nastia is on bars. *Eye Roll*

  • jeez her tkachev to that giant is AMAZING! is she the only one in the world who can do that? i've never seen it other than when she does it

  • she is definitely the only girl ! she's awesome!

    guys do it though !

  • I still happy 'cause Ksenia won this bars tittle, I think this was her debut, and is like she's saying: ''Beware! I may be tinny, but I'm a great bar worker, so watch out!''.

And now European AA Champion, Go Ksenia!

  • @Fussims I bet every person there was like "What is she going to do..." "Oh...oh my...wow"

  • I like her UB routine! Though u.s. media keeps on telling the public that Liukin is the best, she has lost to 3 top UB workers from 3 different countries (Semonova from Russia, Beth from Britain, and Kexin from China). Yang Yilin should be ahead of Liukin, too if Yang has not been underscored on UB. What do these 4 top UB workers have? Semonova's is interesting, Beth's powerful, Yilin's elegance and near perfect form, and Kexin's innovative risky moves and excitement.

  • A) Kexin is her given name.

    B) Nastia's won more than her fair share of medals, including uneven bar titles.

  • I'm confused why you point out that Kexin is her given name. The OP said Beth and Yilin and you didn't point those out...perhaps he or she does know that Ms. He's first name is Kexin and just prefers to call her that? :)

  • Nastia was good in 2005. After she got injured in 2006, she was never the same. She got by on pure reputation.

  • Nastia was great in 2008...she may not have had the highest difficulty and her routines are different she grew. She is very different nowadays but sitll great.

  • she one the olympics so i'd say she is pretty good.

  • What I am saying is that she was better in 2005. Her reputation carried her to 2008. If you look closely, there are very many form breaks in her routines.

  • Well, the likes of diapers change double fronts, Nastia Liukin has won all her titles on reputation alone because she sucks major ass in all events.

  • i'm thinking '2009 worlds, johnson and semenova take golds' yea!

  • Shawn Johnson probably won't do that well at the 2009 worlds. She is really far behind because of Dancing with the Stars. However, I hope that Mark Ballas choreographs her routines for 2010-2012.

  • Shawn is competiting at the 2009 worlds?! When is it?? I haveee to watch!

  • noo she isnt

and its in october i think

  • Kae, stil gotta watch it. Thanks :)

  • November!!

  • She is the one i would like to see win the AA in 2012

  • I love Semyonova!! Her Tkatchev giant full is incredible. I wish she had medaled in Beijing. I hope in 2012 she will dominate the AA

  • His pronunciation of Russian names always makes me cringe. oy.

  • You'd think he would know how to pronounce the names since he has a Romanian wife. Oh well

  • Romanian and Russian aren't the same, though - Romanian is a Romance language and Russian is Balto-Slavic.

  • Oh, good to know. I don't speak either, unfortunately. I only do English and French.

  • he's at least better than tasha-she says "kensenia" instead of "ksenia"

  • what year was this?

  • 2007

  • HUGE RUSSIN fan (also i am russian ) i love nastia lukin alot too

  • i'm a die hard russian fan. something about the american mentality in sports doesn't sit right with me.

the ONLY american who i feel has that mentality that i respect so much is Nastia Liukin, which is ironic but NOT ironic at the same time if you know what i mean. hehe.

so i will secretly be rooting for Nastia while supporting me fellow rooskies!

  • yea i agree with you!

    u__u

  • The American mentality only applies to the coaches and two comentators. Bart Conner is much better than Tim Daggett and Elfie Schlegel.

And it is kinda funny that the two best american gymnasts were Chinese and Russian trained.

  • Elfie Schlegel is a Canadian..

  • But she comments on an American station

  • Wow! 00:41 - 00:53 was the best part of the routine.. (Except for the part when she did the Tkachev right into full giant) It was just, WOW! BEAUTIFUL! She's just AMAZiNG! From there, through the rest of the routine was just beautiful. To me, it looked like she had nothing wrong there... Not the sound mean or anything but, if Shawn Johnson never was alive..... She would totally be my idol...! Actually, I think she is my #1 idol way before Shawn. Ksenia - YOU'RE AMAZING! ILY! XD

  • She is definitely the first girl to do Tkachev right into full giant.

  • how could she have won with ankles like that

  • She is bowlegged and she can't get her ankles together

  • I wish she'd keep her ankles together! Other than that, it's good.

  • She can't

  • Yeah, I found out about 3 months ago. LOL

  • she is an awesome gymnast. love her... she is much better than that anarexic robot nastia liukin

  • that was rude, ur saying that cause ur prob a fatass

  • You don't know if Nastia is anorexic or not, don't assume.

  • Shes has a really great routine, but i don't see how she could have beat Nastia Liukin.

  • It's exremely difficult to GIANT out of a tkatchev (sp?) and I'm pretty sure that piked arabian is almost as difficult as a double front with a 1/2 twist.

  • Oh yes i tottaly understand that a giant out of a tkatchve is very hard, but she has lots of form breaks and such. Nastia's perriouts (sp?) and clean from just look so much better. She has a very difficult routine but i just like Nastia's better, just state of opinion i guess.

  • Yeah, I prefer Daria Joura, but she never seems to get the scores she deserves! I don't really watch Semenova, but her routine is packed with a LOL of difficulty.

  • the only thing remarkable I saw about this routine was the Tkatchev-Giant full, everything else was pretty sloppy aside from that and the Jaeger

the Stalders had bent arms, the Deltchev is fug, and the arabian double wasn't very tidy and had a bad landing

I think Nastia should have been the champion

if only she'd stuck her landing there would have been no question

  • It looks like Nastia does alot of little mistakes, and Semoenova has two big ones (that I saw): The Deltchev and the dismount. But Nastia also has a sloppy dismount....

  • no, I was talking about how she bends her elbows on all of her stalders, that should be a deduction every time

  • Thanks for pointing that out, I'm not sure if the judges could see that though.

  • Hey, do you know what nastia's A score was here?

  • 7.1

  • Thanks.

  • Joura is great, but really damn inconsistent.

  • Sadly, yes. If she continues she may get better for 2012. I also kinda hope she changes her floor routine, as much as I love it.

  • She is the only woman ever to do a Tkatchev to immediate giant full. The Stalder full into piked arabian double front is also very hard.

  • Her form and overall execution have improved so much since last year and she plans to unveil a 7.8 routine in Beijing. Nastia, on the other hand, consistently loses 0.6-0.8 on her dismount alone. You do the math...

  • She had a higher start value, and they both had errors. It could have gone any way between the top three.

  • i hope you really know how difficult this routine .

  • pigeon toes and bent arms...hmmmmmmmm

  • too many bendy arms

  • Beautiful, she just needs to work on keeping her ankles together.

  • Right. It makes her look slightly bowlegged at times.

  • She did! Her form was much better in Beijing!
