heheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheeheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh- my name is edar. thats hilarious.
As a thought, homelessness isn't just a product of drugs. For some of us, it's an inability to make enough money to have that roof over our heads. Personally, if not for my adopted parents, I'd be homeless too and I have never touched an illegal drug (and I barely like taking the legal stuff) and no, I don't drink liquors either. I'm just disabled and very few places are willing to give me the pay I need.
This is a great idea! I am trying to get an EDAR for a homeless man named Jimmy who lives in back of a small shopping center near my home. When I saw the EDAR on CNN I thought about him and immediately called the organization and got on a waiting list. I just got good news that they will be coming out to interview him next week!!! It'll will be the first EDAR in my area. See my video of Jimmy when he hears the good news!
Great idea, but if they really gave a damn about giving everyone a roof, they'd release the blueprints online so anyone can build one for the homeless in their own community.
I'm sorry but I think this is a dangerous idea. Give a homeless bum something worth five hundred dollars and how long do you think it will take before someone beats him half to death to steal it?
Am I the only one who thinks this is monstrous? Practical charity is wonderful. By practical, I mean giving someone food or health care. But this isnt practical. Its meant to afford them dignity. This only gives the illusion of dignity. It does nothing to bring these people back into a mainstream, normal life.
Its like tying silk ribbons to the hair of starving children in Darfur.
Dignity is as important. What would U know. Unless U can bring the bum into mainsream life, just let him roll up in cardboard, U R saying. Starving children have no hair when they die of chronic malnutrition, unlke American children who die after a few days of stavation. What are U doing to help?
Looks like an expensive impractical pile of crap to me. Tiny little shopping cart wheels, has anyone ever had a shopping cart that had decent wheels? plus those kind of wheels are only good for rolling around on the clean smooth floors of grocery stores, not the trash, broken glass street of the city, up curbs or into empty lots. Most homeless live in cars. $500 buys you car that is far warmer, far roomier, and actually secure. This is just an impractical, expensive tent on crappy wheels.
I think this is a great idea. I just hope that he gives them to the deserving homeless. Not the ones who think nothing of leaving messes behind and leaving public restrooms filthy.
BTW, I wonder if he could work a sort of toilet into this contraption?
Does anyone know how I can get ahold of any source of contact for Peter Samuelson? Please, if you have his PR or assistant's info, I would truly appreciate it in advance. Take care and God Bless.
Peter Samuelson is a genius. He's also the most incredibly caring person I have read about lately. Extremely wonderful product and WOW . . what a positive difference in people's lives that has been made!!
I am so glad somebody came up with something like this. To those who want more, get out and build houses for the homeless! Dont just criticize and obstruct.

The cost of 1 B-2 bomber = 4.2 million EDAR's. What do you think is more usefull for America?
PS this still leaves 19 B-2's for defence btw.

But can a homeless person afford insurance, gas, etc? So a car doesn't cost just $500. More like $1000 plus $200 a month. That's fine if you get SSI.

why not build it in mexico, 500 usd is too expensive, i think it can be built here for less than 300 usd
xxxavier63 2 years ago
Build them in in Tijuana with better wheels and chain mail (cota de malla), but then all the soon to be homeless would

These are brilliant! The kids think it's a hoot. Although the guy at the end needs an off road version with bigger wheels!
