  • The music is so irritating. lol.

  • glad to see a pontiac still owning. i have a 05 gto and any pontiac car that wins is good to see. if i were the owner of this fiero i would have stayed away from the 3.4 garbage. IMO. i woulda went with a 3800 with the m90 eaton blower, did ported intake. north* TB 42# injectors, zzp fuel pump, 3.4 mps pully, ported s/c, either cam or rockers. with a wicked exhaust. IMO or a gen v s/c if it would fit. no to sure. good race

  • Yeah what shall I say, I drive a Fiero, work for VW in germany...

    FIERO FUCK'N RULES!

  • Keep it on the TRACK!

  • gay

  • Where did you get the cams?

  • The Gti can't drive. Btw highly doubt it was 20psi. Maybe spiking but not holding. No offense to your car at all but if it was really 20psi and a decent driver outcome would have been different.

  • The Fiero is an affordable exotic. The Golf is a shoe box.

  • GO FIERO GO!!! RAPE THAT MUTHA FUCKIN IMPORT TRASH CAN!!

  • Kick that Import-Ass!! I have a Fiero myself...

  • Kick that Import-Ass

  • Where did you get the bart simpson decal on the back window?

  • @biscayne427

    Years ago off ebay.

  • for once someone has a good song in their race videos. nice call on hot action cop

  • Yeah, kick that VW's ass! The Fiero rocks man.

  • Street racing is for those who want to kill themselves and others, keep it on the track!

  • Agreed, thats where I first heard it.

  • lol this song reminds me of playing need for speed hot pursute 2

  • Very nice race! good job building the fiero

  • @Twinchrgd22 Thank you. It's turbo now, check out the rest of my videos... Still in fine tuning phases but it's MUCH quicker now.

  • @FnBobSaget The 3400 is direct bolt in right? Just need the 3400 flywheel right? Nothing else custom except for wiring... right?

  • @psychoninja911

The 3400 is different than a 3.4 dohc. You are asking me very loaded questions...

  • lol 1.8 ts are always slow apparently even with mods

  • Great video, and good build on the Fiero, so do you just ship your cams to Steve Long, and he re-grinds them then ships them back to you? and how much does he charge per 4 cam re-grinds on an LQ1? and one more thing, I understood all of your modifications, but what chip did you get? and how much difference did it make??... I will be re-building my LQ1-powered GTP soon and am trying to get some ideas ^_^

  • @TacticalSuperRebel I got my chip through sinister performance, he can do chips for 91-93's and 94-95's. I got a spare set of cams to ship to Steve, but you could just send the ones out of your engine. I believe turn around time would be about 3-4 weeks. You'll want to contact Steve on pricing but I believe it is about 150 per cam so 600 or so total?

  • that's a nice shade of blue you've got on that car

  • First a friend showed me the vid, later i saw it again, the whole video this time and it even says it's a 5 speed in the intro. Yeah, felt real stupid then.

  • Ah, 5 speed, the muncie is the 4 speed. All mine have been the muncie 4 spd.

  • Is the fiero a auto? The auto trans in the fiero is geared slow as shit and will make even a very fast car slow.

  • said he had a getrag so manual

  • Dude, does it sound like the Fiero was manual? Could you not see me shifting?

  • Sweet video. Whats the name of that song?

  • It's "Fever for The Flava" by Hot Action Cop. :D

  • Thanks dude love your name lol

  • No problem, and thank you. Haha.

  • Oh, and when you break something on your GM, you don't have to take out a second mortgage on your house to pay for the repair.

    F'in Germans...

  • I have an '01 GTI, and a 94 Cutlass with the 3.4DOHC.The 3.4 has been bored, ported, etc... The GTI has a Neuspeed chip and intake. They're both pretty quick. The GTI is a 5 speed, and the cutlass is a 4T60E. The GTI spins a lot more than the Cutlass.

Here's what I'll say about the 3.4 vs the 1.8T. To get more power from the 3.4 you have to grab a wrench and open your hood. To get it from the 1.8T you just need a laptop and several hunder $ worth of software...

    Good vid

  • Take that V DUB GM CARS RULE!!!!!

  • I enjoy this video. Nice pulls.

  • and its an AUTO by the way!!!

  • i put an 89 cutlass ciera 3.8 in my 85 fiero gt with 3.33 gr 4 sp ovrdrive. C-class Mercedes couldnt hang when i had a cyl out and a locked up frnt brk caliper at track. Mustang couldnt hang on street till halfway through 2nd. AND I HAVE A 94 CADILLAC NORTHSTAR V8 AT A FREINDS SHOP THAT I TRADED A GETRAG FOR WAITING TO GET STARTED ON.

  • For me this race is between the car I was serious about buying, and the car I actually did buy. I was going to buy my friend's fiero 2.8 V6 with 5 speed getrag, but I got a 20th anniversary gti 1.8t. There is no comparison stock for stock.

  • 1.8t's are slow you could of had a grand prix gtp for the same money which is much faster or you could swap a gtp motor into a fiero which depending on the year of the gtp is 600-800lbs less, btw the 97-98 gtp's pull 14.9 in the 1/4 mile stock(it only comes in auto) just think of how fast it would be in a car thats nearly 700lbs lighter

  • I beat my friend tony's gtp so I don't regret it. I don' want an automatic long ass grand prix that is kinda quick in the straights but does shit in the turns. Yes a fiero with this swap would do better than my car, but in the end I made the right choice. My car is an 03 with low miles and my friend's fiero was an 86 with 180000 miles and needed work.

  • what from a roll b/c thats not a real race lol you wouldn't even touch my gtp with only a few mod's lol i have a cai 3inch dp 160stat and a pcm and i pulled a 14.07 in the 1/4mile in N.J. and your friend doesn't take care of his car if you were able to pull on him a gtp can run as slow as a mid 15sec 1/4 if not taken care of (like changing the supercharger oil and the plugs, is very big thing for this car, b/c the stock plugs cause knock which slows the car greatly)

  • It was modified with intake and throttle body spacers. My car was stock.

  • i've taken a 1.8t when i was stock any way but i have a 98 gtp the new gtp's are slower brand new they only pull 15.2's was the best they ever did but i take car of my car unlike your friend either he's got a 99 or newer gtp or you did it from a roll race not from a dead stop because the gtp has alot of low end power and nothing up top

  • yeah but it was from a roll not a dig i raped a 1.8t from a dig stock for stock

  • plus since the 1/4 mile i've got headers a short stack ic for the down sized pully and upgraded the fuel system but i gotta save up b/c i wanna buy a new motor and tranny for the future b/c it can't last for ever motors and tranny go,

    p.s

yes the tranny was upgraded a lil b/c the stock tranny is weak

  • Where did you get the custom cams? I thought custom speed parts were virturally non exsistant

  • Steve Long Racing Cams of California did some custom re-grinds for me. As far as I know there are four sets of re ground 3.4 dohc cams in existance.

  • Its looks nice, I never saw it before

  • Kind of confused as to why you would go with a manual over a well built auto?

You are missing out on the torque multiplication, no shift delay, and less maintenance. very confused. Is it the old "a manual trans is better cause I say it is" mentality?

I drive a manual trans car too, but not by choice, it was cheaper. But I'm paying for it now. 2 TOB's, and now a whole new clutch set, flywheel machining, quadrant/adjuster replacement, etc. swapping it out for an auto ASAP. freaking mustangs.

  • a manual trans is better for the model and year. the auto had pulled out a lot of torque and horses because the tuning on them just suxked you could drive faster with a stick and got way better gas mpgs.

come pick up my old auto trans anytime you want just dont come begging to me when you feel the horsepower loss.

  • Well, I dislike auto transmissions because...

It cannot predict the future of throttle position. How many times have you been driving an auto and had it upshift right before you were about to accelerate harder. Then you got to wait for it to kickdown again, and generally getting it to kickdown again means accelerating harder than you originally were going to. Not to mention a manual tranny is lighter and more compact, two major bonuses for a Fiero.

  • well for one the only thing a well built stockish transmission has is a better off the line reaction since they dont spin the tires as much other than that they are worthless after about 60mph. and if you have had that many problems with a manual drive train its the driver not the parts.

  • I have to agree with these guys the manual is the way to go. I can shift faster through the gears in my GTI no problem. Especially my 3rd for 4th gear transition its lighting quick and thats with a stock gear box. If I were to upgrade to a short shift it would be that much quicker. Not to mention the control you have the car. Auto limit that IMHO...

  • The manual(Getrag HM282/284) has 5 gears instead of four(no 5-speed autos that'll fit), much better gear ratios, and you can sometimes find LSDs for them. In this car, the manual makes MUCH mor sense(plus it's way more fun!)

  • Yeah this car needed tuning and bigger injectors REALLY bad in this video. After some 36lb injectors and a little work with chips it felt noticably quicker. It went 13.5@105 later that summer.

  • i have the same motor in a 95 gtp and i beat 1.8t all the time. stock. =] nice car.

  • I'm actually really shocked that none of the GTi owners have been posting back on this yet.

  • go fiero!

  • ya fieros kick ass

  • gotta love how u just sloowly pass him

  • Man that cameraman is the shit, lol. Bypass races woo woo!!!
