Inspirational to hear Bubba's story didn't end with baseball but only took a detour to grandest of professions, working for the Lord. No greater honor than that, IMO.
Will never forget the grit, integrity and determination he displayed in pinstripes.

Bubba was my favorite Yankee while he was on the team. In fact, my wife and I named our twin embryos after our favorite Yankees, Crosby and Rivera. (He ended up being named Sam.) Bubba was about to get the center field position when the Yankees signed Damon. Had they not, who knows what kind of career he could have had in New York.
I must have replayed that home run against the Orioles 100 times.
