one of the greatest bands in the world...saw these guys live in 1972 when they had just released focus 3.....would love to see them again....great talent in this group....their live show back then was awesome...
I saw this band , at last , last month... live... got to talk to Thijs Van Leer as well... what a lovely guy!... Pierre Van Der Linden is still one of the greatest drummers I have ever seen!!!... lovely guitarist and bassist too... an amazing night of memories brought to life! Wanted to see them in 1972, but I was gigging that night...heard them live on the radio instead... magical!!! I played drums that night like a demon!!!... I am now a guitarist!!!... still play 'Sylvia' in our set!...
It's amazing how this beautiful band's music has been the soundtrack to so many lives. I've loved every note Focus ever recorded since they broke here in Britain in 1972/73 when this album got them on the Old Grey Whistle Test and Hocus Pocus was already in the charts. I was a schoolboy then and grew up to love an incredibly beautiful girl and this was our soundtrack. Now age 53 and Focus' music still has the power to move me to tears...and so does she. We are gonna see them in October!
There are not enough words to effectively convey the flood gate of emotions this music casuses in me. I have not heard this music since it first came out in the early seventies. I litterally mentally went back in time. It doesn't get any more beautiful, especially "love remembered." I lost my album and didn't think I would ever hear it again. I love You Tube.
@RichRuss1 Me too Rich..............I was 13 I used to come back from cycle training. A self imposed harsh 20 mile circuit of West London after school, after the rush hour traffic. Sweating, I would put this on in the living room, my father used to smile. I only understood that smile when I had a 13 yr old son of my own. not long after I went out with a truly beautiful girl for almost two years..............we used to listen to this album........very special times indeed. Never surpassed.
@teddingtontcu In the same boat and the same age Rich and tedd..that age listening to this album gave me something special back then..a zillion thoughts and special special memories come flooding back. Awesome...
@RichRuss1 You must get a CD copy Rich. If this album was half as important to you as I think it is, it clearly holds too great a space in your life to be without it. I have all and everything Focus released on vinyl which I only play on occasion and have it all on CD. I'd die if I lost all this great music.
When I was 17 on morning my mother died at 4:00 AM because of cancer. So my dad woke me up en while he was busy arranging things I put his headphones on en replayed this number en Answers?Questions! for the rest of the morning.
Now I'm 36 and found out that I'm autistic in the last year. And that autistic people often feel their emotions through music. Maybe that's why -19 years later- it still has such big impact. On my funeral this will be played...
@Baspergert Mooi verhaal man!
BTW: Thanks to all who reacted so friendly on my prior comment :D
@Baspergert A very recognizable experience, friend. I am diagnosed with PDDNOS for 4 years by now and your story sounds so familiar...music is an absolute means for living to me next to eating and drinking.
I was blessed to be introduced to this track in a most wonderful way. Go to Stor-I website for my little story called, "The day I fell in love with the Netherlands." Thank you redbullet, all that music you give helps a lot!
@pianotimable UNFORTUNATELY ,THE BEST MUSIC, THIS MUSIC BY FOCUS FOR EXAMPLE, IS JUST MADE FOR A VERY FEW THAT CAN UNDERSTAND IT,THAT CAN ENJOY IT, THAT CAN FEEL IT.
I cannot believe that only one person has made a comment before.
This is the music that I listened to through my teens and it remains with me.
TVL JA etc were gods to me. Focus III was, to me, their crowning glory. I originally had to listen to it on a double cassette but now as Youtube grows the digital versions arrive.
You made an old man very happy, or a happy man feel very old!
Thank you redbullet for uploading this wonderful band and this wonderful track.
@PhilMacVee Focus is a band that i will always cherish during my teens. I remember Moving Waves and Focus Live at the Rainbow..Brings back sweet memories.. It seems that great music does not seem to be appreciated these days..
The youth of today don't seem to interested in substance or understand the work that it really takes to make great music..
There are exceptions of course, the rest is just Karoke!!! Shortcut to stardom i guess! No merit!

@GerryRed7
How can you put focus along side of those bands? Focus is in it's own league bro, far far above those bands.
