just stick your primary fermenter in a freezer. Works in a half hour

Here in Arizona I go through about 15-20 lbs of ice to go into the chiller. I recycle the water back into the garden or the yard. You may want to add a whirlpool device.

How fast will it bring boiling wort down to pitching temperatures? Say 212° to 65° F.

it takes about 15 minutes to bring it down to about 68!
