  • Honestly, his technique is pretty bad.

  • is the M1a/M14 any good when facing multiple opponents within 100 meters and some of the targets are moving laterally

  • Man, if that gun could talk.

  • Still works fine.

  • the design of the ar-15 dates back to the Vietnam war....that actual M-14 rifle that is being used by that soldier actually dates back to the Vietnam war

  • @Alexn1067 The M14 is a modified and timely updated (for vietnam) M1 Garand.

  • What did you use for the cheekrest

  • @SpartanNate007 Just a sleeping pad and some duct tape.

  • @joe4678 Are we still allowed to use the old M14 in our modern war now or did the military cancel it because i want to go to war with that sweet M14 in this video

  • @joe4678 that is straight gangster

  • omfg... that rifle is so bad ass! it's by far my favorite gun.

  • how and why did you get issued a m14?

  • @wfcxtoxic The military needed something heavier than the m4, the only thing they had was m14s in storage.

  • @joe4678 dude rock on man, kicking talbans ass with some rock and roll

  • Also, XXXX leading the country in the war is BS. The people who do that are pilots and SOF from all branches. No one group does it alone, reguardless of what your overmotivated DS/DI tells you.

  • yea bad ass

  • Would love to own one, but the prices are pretty stiff. Maybe someday........

  • my favorite gun of all time

  • whats the specs' on that scope?

  • Leupold Mark 4 LR/T on ARMS bases.

If you are interested in such a setup avoid ARMS products.

  • I believe Marines say oorah.

In addition, oorah, hooah booya or whatever are terms used by over motivated incompetent garrison soldiers. Good for you, skippy.

  • don't be mad that you didnt have the balls to be a Marine, a lot of people dont. it's ok just go back to your prissy unit and call it a day

  • please dont take offense to this marines. i just heard this somewhere.

My Ass Rides In Navay Equipment.

    MARINE.

  • lol this video looks funny. the m14 is doing all the work and the dudes with m4 are like wth i want one of those.

  • with the cost of ammo and the high recoil of the m14 there is no point of getting it in full auto.

  • its good to have the full auto. There is a reason why RMC in the Falklands picked up the FN FAL with full auto

  • @BuLLe7pRoFF it not only has a full auto setting, but the recoil can be managed.

  • You can hear an M249 SAW in the backround near the end.

  • only buy jg if your out of money

if you realy want to use it for battle than buy tm g36c or even better a full metal version of another weapon - for example hk 416 like me :)

  • hmm...my favourite weapons with woodland camo and a ACOG sweeeeeeeet

  • MsSpeedyGonzalez, I'm sure you've never seen this gun outside of call of duty.....

  • uhm...i have an cyma m14...

  • Cyma M14? Last time I checked CYMA did not make real M14s....

  • not real...airsoft

  • Exactly what I meant. Clarify your posts next time. And if you airsoft, I reccomend Jing Gong, CYMA's just a Chinese rebranding company. Most of what CYMA makes is rebranded JG guns.

  • Soon I will buy an Jing Gong G36c...

  • i kno they are expensive as hell

  • thats a same its a great gun

  • your right theyre hella more expensive

  • i would buy a m14 if they wasnt 700 bucks

  • they aren't 700 bucks...

  • $700?!?!?! HAHAHAHA WHAT A LAUGH!!!!!!!! I'd be bouncing off the walls if they were 700 bucks! The cheapest, stripped-down M1A goes for $1500, no less.

  • a real M14 is over 20,000.00 dollars, yes and that is a bargin basement price,

the cheapest M1A is over a grand

  • norc m14s for 400$ ;)

  • that is not a Real M-14,

and if norc is a company? never heard of them

    a real m-14 with selector is 20,000

  • thats a real m14.. The selector lever is right there.

    Only transferable m14's cost alot.

Military has a shit load of them in a warehouse just collecting dust.

  • why would i bother to talk about one you cannot buy/transfer, yeah the military has them cheap, cuz they have had it since Korea, AND i didn't say the one in the video was an semi-auto only, i was not refering to that one. I can see the selector, if a civilian wants a M14 you are going to pay out the nose,

I'd rather have a BAR full auto. cost about the same if you could find one

  • not any more. Klinton had the majority melted down.

  • Norinco M305 for civilian use.

  • NO offense, Norinco is some chinese CRAP, my brother had a "unnamed assault rifle" from them

we called it the "Mystery Trigger" no matter what you had it set on, the first pull might be semi-auto, the next might fire a burst and the next one would empty the mag, and the safety never worked, i'd rather throw rocks (sarcasm) , you get what you pay for with them

  • the banana stock is bad but the rest is ok. for the price the product is really good and Personally in Canada I never heard of a huge problem with a Norinco firearm.

  • Sorry but it is a real one. It is an arsenal refinished item from one of Uncle Sam's leftover stores that haven't been given away to some 3rd world country. If you see near the rear of the receiver, there is a "knob." Normally, there would be a selector switch residing in that position but it has been replaced with a plug. This rifle is a gift from the past from the old school U.S. Army for today's troops. It still proves that the M-14 is a valid weapon for today's battlefield.

  • thats only if it is automatic and thats because of government regulation, they sold a lot of automatic rifles at the same price as the semi auto varients a couple of months ago. production costs are no different between the m1a and m14

  • Where? I live in a state where ALL I need a tax stamp ($250) to own a full auto or suppressor, as i am not felon, IF I could have bought a Full-auto M14 a few months ago for $400.00, even a crappy norinco one, i would have been on it like white on rice. and i realize productions costs are the same, I know a M1A IS a M14, just semi-auto

  • no it was guns like the G36, m4, m16, G3, M249. This was a sale put on by a website and was limited time only, it was only sent out to people who joined their mailing list by buying products from them. I wouldnt lie about this. By the way, all it takes to make gun automtic is a good machine shop who can make a quality sear. Then you have to register it. We have the same laws in our state.

  • Which State? I live in West Virginia and you cannot own one here.

  • Colorado

  • Learn to shoot you fuckin tard

  • hahahahahaha you're saying this to trained soldiers.... reallllllly well thought out there

  • yea! nice going you fuck terd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! id like to se you hit a target further than he can.....i hope you know what they have to do to become a soldier..... tons of training to become trained marksmen.!!!!!! : )

  • he is about to explode

  • returningwolf, he's a good sniper

  • m14 is a pretty sweet gun

  • Info states "plinking" which is informal target practice.

  • nice cheek rest

  • i didnt see how he was firing the wep wrong, as far as fireing from a standing positiong it looked fine for not being able to see from his waist down, 2nd he wasnt in the air, 3rd 4th ID has always been a bunch of mech pog's, wtf do they know about sniping, if your going to claim you were trained in sniper skillz at least claim a leg unit like the 101st 10th MTN or 82nd..even 75th RGT..i smell bull shit...POG bull shit.

  • I concur. Why did he start going on about AK47s? Why did he say you have to be patient and pick your targets? I'm no soldier, but even I know that.

    I'm smelling bullshit as well.

  • hey man the 82nd isnt a leg unit dude. they jump.

  • How is his position wrong? So what if you don't have a rifle belt? You don't need one to fire the weapon accuractely. You don't know what you're talking about.

  • nothing is wrong with this video except your comment.

  • Maybe you should stop being so critical and just enjoy the video...

  • My First Video:

    /watch?v=Ke3hTMnnswM

  • Yeah, two of my favourite guns!

  • can a civilan buy a m14 that is full auto

  • nope civilans and only own fully auto weapons made before 1986, also only 37 states let you own any fully auto weapons and you have to send in an application with pretty much a perfect record and pay like 300$ per weapon to the state.

  • does that mean it is legal to buy older guns made before the 80s srry I'm a little confused by that

  • yes, just look it up on the gun owners website. (also i ment can not and in my above comment)

  • nope you can buy a semi-auto one if you can find it

  • depends on where u live definitely not in california but u have to have a special licence anywhere u can but with a licence can have one in nevada

  • nice shoting mate

  • poor m-16 the m-14 totally outclassed it in firepower 30-06 fo ever!

  • m14 doesnt shoot 30-06 it shoots 7.62x51 or .308 Winchester which are similar to eachother

  • oops!! thanks for the info :)

  • .308's are so much fun to shoot, expecially in my dads 1952 winchester308

  • yea i know what you mean lol

  • .308 Win and 7.62x51mm are the same except the NATO round is crimped and uses higher pressure.

  • hey phonix the m14 is 7.62x51 nato .308 civilian not 30-06 two different rounds

  • i learned a while back but thanks anyway.

  • yeah saw that after i posted it sorry

  • its ok hey do u know how much a m14 costs?

  • ive seen mostly the chinese version of the m14 which is not to much different roughly about 900-1400bucks now for the springfield expect it to be alittle out there for price. honestly depends on how bad you want one you might want to look into buying the new socom 2 or the varants of it they differ in price i think the lowest one i saw was around 800 or so it might be your best bet but thats up to you

  • Do you know about a Lee Enfield?

  • the enfield is a .303 cal there are mixed feeling about that rifle i personally have respect for a firearms or weapons because they all help shape the world of war somehow but when i got the chance to shoot one i put about 200 rounds through it. it was ok not anything to brag about. sights were ok the recoil was alittle above normal that you would expect. cleaning it was not to bad but if you try to do some upgrade to the trigger or bolt then you run into so problems but overall desent rifle

  • $1400 for a Chinese M14? Man we can get em for $400 in Canada. I guess its cause of the embargo.

  • yeah okay thats why a cheap made wasr 10 in the us is between 498-900 dollers when they were just 150-250 last year and an m14 isnt just thrown together like a wasr 10 ak47 either

  • usually around 1500 to 2000$ depending on its modifications

  • oh never mind then lol

  • I like the M-14 and I like the M-1. I like the 1911. From the Vietnam war, I can tell you that a 30-06 in you belly can really hurt.

  • This Weapons are one of my favourite Guns!

  • That made no sense.

  • i think theopenj was talking about the M4 in the back round

  • nice he put an ACOG scope on it

  • That's not an acog...that's standard optics.

  • WTF? that ain no ACOG, thats a standard telescopic rifle scope. from the looks of it, i'd say it's the Leupold mark 4 LRT

  • Thought they taught you to squeeze the trigger, not jerk it. Because he's definitely jerking it...

  • shut the fuck up. this man is a highly trained shooter. who the fuck are you to tell him how to shoot?

  • How do you know that he is highly trained?

  • beacuse he's a marine dummy. obviously he was trained to use a weapon properly.

  • He's not a Marine. He's wearin Army digi, he's a soldier

  • thank god someone can tell the difference between army and marine ACU'S man these people on here are just stupid. anyways thanks for clearing that up for them

  • He's not a Marine. He's a soldier.

  • Just because he's shooting a sniper rifle doesn't mean he's been trained as a sniper....

  • i didnt say he is a sniper. i just said he's a trained shooter. he can probably hit more constantly that you could

  • M14 = Greatest Combat Rifle Ever.

  • A toast to the M14's renewed life in the army!

  • i cant believe that the Army still issues that heavy wooden frame on the M14. i thought they switched to polymer for almost everything lol

  • Many people dont know they had a Sniper Rifle problem in Irak. This is a Modified M14 with scope i think the M14's are made of wood but the M21's are polymer.

  • Since everyone can't seem to get this streight, I'm gonna spell it out.

The M21 is an M14. It is an m14 with a national match barrel, action set for semi auto only, and a Leupold scope.

The marine corps DMR is basically the same but it has a McMillan stock on it.

The m14 comes in all shapes and sizes. The M21 and DMR are just two of them

  • How ironic. Spells things out for people, but can't spell himself.

  • haha spell it streight for us, dude

  • Is that a Leupold scope on that M14? Does anyone even know? Just curious. I tend to buy what the military buys when it comes to firearms and/or scopes, or the closest thing to it since they test and issue battle-proven weaponry and equipment.... for the most part.

  • its a leupold or should be

but nightforce should be good for that as well

  • when im in the army im using m14 I dont care if i cold use a laser

  • The M14 is THE BEST!

    Wood & Metal FTW

  • Actually the wood housing is the biggest weakness of the M14. After extensive firing the wood starts to compress and wear down in places. This makes the bedding insecure and throws off not only accuracy but consistency. Only way to fix it is by having a gunsmith put in glass inserts, which isn't something you can do in a warzone. This is why the Marines switched to polymer housings for their DMRs.

  • K ur right on that one... But still a m14 over m16 anyday!

  • Right on!

  • Wood and Metal FTW

  • that m14 and those two m4s are fucken beastly.

  • I think the .223 would be worse due to the bullet not penetrating all the way through unlike the .308. Also, the .223 tumbles and splinters inside the target making a much worse wound then the m14's .308.

  • .308 does,, Just at a longer range

  • actually, the complete penetration is best. you will learn that in hunting. it makes a bigger splatter and blood trail and it causes them to bleed more, making them die quicker

  • How this rifle performs compared to the m-16?

  • Lets just say this guns 7.62 nato round will most likely kill you in one shot the round is much bigger and the kinetic energy is almost double the m16, the problem is its a very large and heavy gun recoil is much more than the m16 and holds less rounds, bad for CQB close quarters combat

  • isn't that why it makes a better sniper rifle than c.q.c. and better on semi-auto than full. for better control. eack squads rifles serve a purpouse. m-14 is a heavy gun for suppressing fire or long range fire isn't it???

  • too much kickback

  • Good for long distance brain surgery

  • Does that baby still have it's selective fire feature?

  • Only some are modified in the military for full auto, most sniper m14's aren't selective fire

  • looks like it. dont knowif it works. look right under the rear iron sight that little circle thing is were the selector is post to be

  • i had no idea that the ejection port was seperate from where the charging handle is.

  • It looks like there's some kind of ejection port, but it's just the scope mount rail over the receiver that makes the apperance of a port of some kind. The M14 without a scope is just open, just like the M1 Garand, but since it has the scope on it, it appears to have a port. The bottom of the mount has a brass deflector, it's an angled siding that makes the brass fly out and to the right so that the obstruction of the scope mount doesn't cause jams. Nice observation

  • ty, and thanks for the info. it was really helpful.

  • Wouldn't it be easier to just have a deflector on the charging handle like the Kel-Tec SU series? That way you don't need to have a different one for every scope? On the other hand, I guess you really only need one rail mount, and you can swap out your aimpoints and leupolds and whatnot.

  • The blass defelctor is the scope mount, so any scope will work, the scope mount is the part that deflects the brass. I don't even know if it would be possible or effective to put a brass deflector on the charging handle, our current setup seems to work well.

  • Oh ok, I thought it was something you had to add to the mount in addition to the scope.

  • The M14 is such an awesome looking rifle.

  • I used to be the biggest 7.62 fan, but I've looked into the 6.8 Barret is developing and I wouldn't mind if we switched to that. In the Army we have to use the M16's 5.56 and there's been some acounts of insurgents getting shot, and just looking around to see who shot them. When the Marines fought in Falujah, they found empty adrenaline injections everywhere, the insurgents were injecting it, which was making the 5.56 more and more useless. Either way, the 5.56 needs to go.

  • i imagine the only thing an Iraq looks at when shot with the m14 is the sky. lol. i have a 308 bolt action rifle and i know if i was hit by it id be down.

  • I love M14's.

  • 20 round mag needs to be bigger

  • why? its being used as a sniper rifle 20 rounds is plenty in my opinion

  • I beleive the term is designated marksman

  • M16 is better.

  • the M14 has a greater range and topping power so give it to a sniper so he can cover you

  • thklai

you cannot compare m14 and m16. first off, they use two completely different types of bullet, and they are desgined for two different purposes.

comparing those two would be comparing a dog and a snake

  • what does m stand for?

  • Military

  • either Model or Mark

    i am not super sure

  • mark

    crap now i'm confused

but i'm pretty sure its mark

  • yea i'm pretty sure it is mark

although there might be ones with "model" as well...

oh whatever.. doesn't matter as long as it shoots true!

  • The springfield m14 (308 nato)....is the last great battle field rifle ever made..... .223= pussy

  • you wouldnt stand in front of a 5.56 round. would ya?

  • The 223 is only in the civilian model rifles mostly. But even then it can pierce a bullet proof vest so I wouldn't want to be in front of it.

  • its 5.56 orisei, not 5.68

  • They should ditch the M4 for the HK416, HK417, or SCAR.

  • the only problem with that is that the cost of all 3 of those is much higher than the M4.

  • Thats true but they should gradually fase it out. If the weapon is going to save lives its worth it.

  • The m14 should not be fased out- it is a decent sniper riffle and is great for covering the guys with m16s.

  • Not the M14. I said the M4 should gradually be fased out for a higher caliber assult rifle.

  • the reason we use smaller calibers then we used to (glorified highspeed 22 lr(s)) is cause a soldier can carry more ammo and its just as effective as the larger rounds a the typical engagment range seen in modern combat basically the older rifle rounds larger caliber and faster where over powered for the situations the soldiers faced so no they dont need to switch back to the larger calibers thats what AP ammo is made for

  • That's exactly what the cubicle commandos said to justify them taking away our firepower. The theory was that you could carry more ammo, which is true, but you need to use more of the small-caliber ammo to do the same job, so it basically balances out logistics-wise. The problem is that we need a caliber that can stop on the first shot, and there's been many instances when drug-using insurgents took several 5.56 bullets to stop them, and sometimes you need the first shot to count.
