FF7, while often over used, is called their masterpiece for a reason. There was much to do: collecting summons, raising chocobos, fighting the Weapons, exploring the world, and all of these were SIDE quests. No, FF13 practically forced you from Point A to point B without exception...not a good choice, IMO.

I think the fact that they release it on PC first, will give Square sometime to make the game great for the PS3 release. They don’t want to dissapoint their hardcore fans, and that’s why its coming out on PC first. They already messed up too many things and need to make this right.

ff14 was such a flop, really sad, square could've done extremely well re-making ff7 considering it is one of the most popular FF. i like the original battle formation like when it was in ff 10 and down...they really screwed up in my opinion, now they made it too...3D. not everything has to be in 3D!!!
The FF7 short was made to test the PS3 also the director of FF14 stepped down due to the games criticism so the PS3 version is still on hold to accommodate any future updates to the game
Yes they made that trailer for FF7 with PS3 graphics, but there was no confirmation of fully remaking FF7.. If i remember correctly, they said if they would remake it, it would be for the next generation of gamers to play. Not really sure though.

@Dane3107 actually....the PS3 will have monthly charges to play because you will have to link your PSN account to your SE account. There will be no difference in payment options between the 2 systems.

@serenadesilhout but FF XII is such a good FF, it has stuff from FF IX and FFT, the gameplay and graphics are awesome and the gambit system lets you custom your party members actions, even when u can control any of your party members yourself, and the story is pretty interesting, being a real war between countries. I've played every FF since NES (yea the weird FF with 4 party members choice..in that time it was cool ok?) and i must say FF I, FFII, FFVI, FFVII, FFIX, FFT and FF XII are the best.
@Nemmycorp I don't remember what I said specifically about XII, however my problem was that at a certain point the gambits just did all the playing for you. I remember that the final boss I only inputed like 3 commands and he was dead. I played a lot of ff games, but there were times when the game would just leave you hanging and you could go hours without knowing what to do. However, i did enjoy the mark hunting
@serenadesilhout easy solution to gambits: dont set them....i don't use the gambits as its dumb I think. I payed for the game to play it and attack the enemy not to set up some dumb gambit and drink some OJ.

I wanted to see what Rozzaria looked like, and it would have been awesome if it had got to be an online game too. i can say i am one of the few people who truely remember the epicness of FF1 when it first was released in the US back in 1990 it was ground breaking for its time(yes im old). FF7 was one of the first games to incorperate 3d cutscenes on the console another groundbreaker. FFX was a full rendered 3d environment (i think another first). FFXI brung the world online and lead the charge til WOW came out. square has been fighting to get back every since. hopefully 14 and 15 will do that.

@fatalis4 they said it isnt on xbox360 is because the internet they use isnt the same as pc and ps3 so they wouldnt be able to make it across all platforms unless/until xbl changes its internet thing.

nub ffVII is "most talked about" because it was the first game to come out on the PS1 so everyone just had to have it. Making that game most played & beaten creating that emotional connection to the game calling for all these new versions with the same characters that kinda suck but hey ppl still buy em

just been looking threw some of these videos on ff 14 and still wondering when the hell douse the game get fun too play? those must be low lvl players with limited ability because the combat system looks extremely slow and un-entertaining

@danexgen thats not what i meant. square enix isnt that great producer anymore. Nowdays i play the OLD games, from snes til psx (ends at FF 7) FF 8 wasnt a bad game but... i dont know.. i missed the fun factor. Chrisis core is a cheap ass game. The original story from FF 7 was burned and killed. They know FF 7 was an masterpiece. All they have to do is to bring FF 7 on the graphics of today.. But without cut or changing something in the story. Cause the story was just perfect (in my opinion)

@BadBonsai yeah that's what their doing. look it up, you can even see the trailer. BTW i like crisis core. See the thing for me is that i love square enix's spin off games of final fantasy. I don't really like turn based games on a home system for some reason, but I LOVE their real time action games (namely kingdom hearts)

the problem iv seen so far about this game is the realy REALY slow fights... go battle stance... engange in fight... wait for your stamina gauge to fill up and execute yyour skills? another thing you actualy cant move in fights? this will limit the tactics the developer can do for bosses... looks liek to me its going to be just tank and spank and all you will need to do is press the right button and the right moment. sllllllllllooooooowww....
