@numberonefilmfan It is possible they were preparing for the Varna competition. In fact, this is what I originally wrote when I posted the video, but was contacted by one of the people who ran the studio back then who thought it was the NYIBC competition. So, I changed the description.

Hello! Very interesting. The NYIBC wasn't held for the first time until 1984; could this be another competition they were preparing for?
