This song means a lot to me because I believe music can heal. I believe this because I was almost crippled, almost a melanoma patent, and found out 3 months ago I have been living with a heart defect for my entire life. I have already had 2 surgeries, a total of 7 scars from surgery, 4 screws in my right ankle, and have a heart cath. in the next few months. The "hide your scars" means a lot to me. Sugarland never fails to impress me.

A couple of years ago, I'd had a rough year. When I thought I was getting out of it, I found out I had a huge ovarian tumor (huge, like 16 weeks pregnant-sized). For a few days I didn't know whether it was cancer or not...in the end it wasn't and I made it through all the tests and major surgery/recovery. It was rough, but this gong reminds me that through it all, I was (and will be) alright again.

My whole world came crashing down in one week. Everything was perfect between me and my boyfriend, but then one day he decided I wasn't "good enough" for him. I still don't know who I am right now because I'm going through stages of being jealous of the girl he's with now, and trying to move on and start seeing other people. And I know I deserve SO much better than that Richard-head, but sometimes his departing hateful words stab at my heart. This song is my inspiration. I hope it will be okay.

This reminds me of my childhood and my teenage years (Which are still in the process of being made) I'm a country raised girl turned Gothic Punk-ish. I have a mother who I never see, Shes practically dead to me. I was abandoned with my brother to my grandparents home, No one seemed to want us but them. I wonder if I am even loved by them sometimes. I'm turning 15. And I still have every bit of unlived childhood wanting to be expressed. I was forced to step up and be motherishly to my brother
