a VG is needed unless you have Huge hands, caue thats a fat grip also ive seen a VG with a laser in it so eh QCB with this and the laser could prove useful
Great review, I appreciate the honesty... How about an update now that you have had time to do more firing with it? Reliability and ease of use once used to the new functions are my concerns.
One of the reasons why it "needs" so many rounds is because it's a serious pain in the ass to load in a hurry, this thing wasn't built for tactical reloads.
Damn I thought he was going to review it. Um I knew all this info from the Kel Tec website. When we watch these reviews from consumers we are usually wanting to know how well they shoot, if there are any problems like jamming etc.. This is completely useless video. And I can tell it's different than any other shotgun by simply looking at it. Jeez. How about letting us know about how it shoots with an optic, how about letting us see it shoot. Last time I watch a rabbi review a gun.
@djericexcel Bitch much? This was the same as watching any table-top review and he was actually quite informative and knowledgeable. So what if he didnt shoot it...there are plenty of vids here that do show people shooting it....go watch one and try not to cry afterwards.
I think I'd rather use the UTS-15. Once it comes to the US... well, let's just say that the UTS-15 has a better method for reloading, and the tube selection is automated. Originally under contract by smith and wesson to create a high-capacity shotgun, UTAS went on to make the UTS-15 bullpup shotgun. It can carry 14+1 buckshot (70mm), and 12+1 (76mm) magnum ammunition. The KSG has a really awkward way of loading. The UTS-15 has two loading windows, one on either side, and the 2 mags are up above.
The carbon fiber that makes the UTS-15 light (its still at least half a pound heavier than the KSG) is very expensive.
It has the same capacity as the KSG (They both can accept the 3' shells for 12+1 capacity), but the UTS-15 is larger, most notably on the top of the firearm.
The biggest flaw with both firearms seems to be that they are both vaporware, albeit the KSG is less so.
I am honestly not saying this to be "mean" or a "know it all" but just to let you know the Iron sights are on backwards. the slanted part with the logo goes toward the muzzle so that when you fold them down they fold towards the shooter.
14 "shots" is not "a lot for home defense". To me I want as many rounds as possible. You could double the capacity and I'd still be unhappy. Remember if you find yourself in a far fight, your tactics suck.
@mout12 reliability, variation of rounds including non-lethal low velocity rounds, and with the space of 1 barrel and 2 ammunition tubes, the design would be too technical
Stay classy guys. deleting my comment because i said that you should shoot the gun instead of jabbing your jaws about it. Jesus Christ, if you want more views, then shoot the damn thing
I don't know why everyone seems to thing that you don't have to aim a shotgun because you do. The spreads is a little more forgiving however. An red dot optic on a shotgun would allow you to aim in the dark, with both eyes open without having to focus on sights.
very nice, however it seems to me that the tubular magazine should either switch from mag to mag automatically or have the selector lever in a more useful place. Also, Optics on a shotgun? Seriously?!

I'd day the 15 total rounds is great for home defense. "Badguys" usual break in to homes in groups of between 2-5.

Well that comes at a price, literally.

has the KSG hit stores yet????? If not, do you know its release date?
mb78758 1 month ago
Is this a pre production ksg? Because the ksg I fired you could not move the mag tube switch if the action was open. Also it had a 3" chamber
