No, Amtrak is just storing them for CalTrans / CaDOT...at least thats what I'm told.....

well with how often CA transit agencies like Metrolink have been wrecking cars, coupled with how slowly Hyundai-Rotem is to deliver the new cars on order its really no surprise at all.....
