All the way to 2004, when the Radeon 9800XT had just released and was being promoted with Half Life 2. The 9600 Pro was also promoted for Half Life 2, though in reality you needed the 9800XT to run the game on max settings. My rig was an absolute monster at the time, and the game ran well, but not blazing fast. Good times.

Speaking of monitors. I really need a new one. My current monitor was given to me for free and it is only 1280x1024.

@Steppenwulf79 It doesn't matter how good your comp is; Fraps will ALWAYS dip your framerate. They want to show that it's playable, not the fact that it looks good. When playing TF2, I get around 150fps, but the second I activate fraps, it dips to 25, and it is annoying as hell.

Besides, Source Recorder is better. I don't believe it was incorporated back when this video was made.

Look at any monitor or television through a recording devices viewfinder and you will witness the same. As for resolution of the video - thats UTube for you downgrading the quality to fit its default size
