  • dude u dont catch the uppercut instead u block it with the elbows. imagine if tyson or foreman throws an uppercut i dont think u would catch it :) i exaggerated a bit there but still

  • I wanna see this man box, his wrists are as big as my neck!

  • Tip from Piccolo: DODGGGEEEE!

  • So much power that his armpit burned a hole in his shirt

  • thanks for the tip

  • buy a t-shirt dude

  • @Ryan

Haha well thn he shouldnt box. But if ur up against the chubbier guy go for his nipps. Theres presure points there. But those r like for a jap. But for a KO or knock dwn just uppercuts into the kidneys or chin will surely do it. Remember to dance if u cn (move around a lot) pick ur punches. If ur moving he cnt hit u. Remember this.....jabs count the same points as anyother shot. So dont go for KO's get ur points up. U control the fight not him. U go out and u show him why fat people dont

  • look easy but is not easy you don't know where someone will punch you sometimes is impossible to dodge if your opponent throw a lot of punches and faster like pacman

  • One thing. People underestimate the power of a left hook to the kidney. Instead of going for a knockout bring a little pain before. Such as the last block he showed. The uppercut block then he said to counter with a left hook to the chin. Why not to the kidney. Now with all the padding younger kids where face shots are hard to knock someone out.

Tell me what you guys think.

  • @redbullsk8ar Um what if the guy is really fat and tall ( like 6'0), where should I hit?

  • @redbullsk8ar I've always been a fan of kidney shots. When my grandfather (retired Soviet military) taught me how to box as a kid he always emphasized how they are relatively harder to defend in a fight and not many people expect to be hit there. Works out well for me in sparring.

  • garbage

  • i was hoping for DBZ style dodging, but whatever

  • what is the name of the girl with the white boxing gloves? she is cute

  • I bet I can hit him at will!

  • this is the only man in expert village i know that knows what the hell hes talking about

  • I'm boxing my friend tomorrow, hes 21 and built, im 15. I might put up the video but im training right now, I dont know what to expect lol

  • Yesterday I had sparring , and somedude (the new one) were punchin me as fast and as strong as he can , he had no technique , but I were feeling like I'm gettin owned O.O

  • ur arms ar huge

  • @mrjerker123100 Its true boxing techniques are not as effective in the street as they are in the ring, however having said that if you can strike first with a series of solid blows to your opponent/opponents then you are going to win the fight.

  • @mrjerker123100 RUSH LIKE A RUSSIAN SOLDIER

  • if you can dodge traffic you can dodge a punch

  • @mrjerker123100

its pretty easy to dodge haymakers, which is the most common swing ppl tend to throw.

    Because most ppl can fight.

  • @fromstart2finish Yea.. it's easy to dodge hay makers. I can jab like 3-4 times in the speed it takes someone(that doesn't fight) to throw a haymaker.

  • @EpicArabKid

Yea. Guys used to come to my gym challenging us for sparring sessions and thought they were tough. They didnt last a whole round and look stupid with their guts swinging and their arms flailing.....

  • @mrjerker123100 i completly agree. uselly its wanna be g thuugs that do that lo

  • But I flinch to much how do I stop it

  • @mazin5171 you dont fight at all

  • @mazin5171 to stop flinching just relax the more you get used to getting hit and the more confident you will get to slip and you wont get worrdied that you wil get hit

  • @mazin5171 i used to too, uptil two weeks ago, then u grow a set of man balls, and you don't....u just have to face it...otherwise go play tennis.

  • @mazin5171 you just do some mitting work and you have the mitts or you ask a friend to throw some punches in the palms of your hands while you put them in front of you.

That's how I learned my best friend when he started boxing it really is usefull to get use to seeing puches coming straight at you.

  • @mazin5171 Its also getting used to it, after a while you get used to it.

  • @mazin5171 improve your confidence by getting a friend etc. to punch you.

  • @mazin5171 I had this same problem when I started, it took me like 5 months to get over it, but just keep sparing and try as hard as you can to stay focused and don't flinch.

  • @mazin5171 spar more

  • @mazin5171 you get a friend who is nice to you, have them play the flinch game. For every flinch you do, you get two punches in the shoulder. After a few weeks of having this done. You should not be flinching anymore. My friend taught me never to flinch even if I'm going to get hit, by playing this "game"

  • @mazin5171 man up and face it. gradually the habit of flinching will be replaced with the habit of facing the problem head on

  • @mazin5171 My boxing trainer tells me to squint

  • @mazin5171 that, comes with experience. Get used to the mindset that, when you box, you will get hit, and there will be pain.

  • thank you bro :)

  • What about southpaws when your orthodox?

  • @mrjerker123100 just make it easier for me

  • Hey guys, complete beginner here, only had 6 boxing lessons so far. So today i was sparring with this really lean dude, but super fast, he didnt hurt me much but he did hit me in the nose twice. So how I avoid that? and serious answers please not "dodge" or "block" i wanna know how to dodge, how to block, how to move, how to hold my head etc... all help is appreciated

  • @yvanbister First off keep your tin tucked low as close to your chest as you can, this will greatly reduce your head movement when you get head, keep your shoulders relaxed as possible, the more relaxed they are the quicker you can punch, where you carry your hands is all dependant on your body type and where you feel most comfortable, personally i put my right hand about 2 inches from my temple and the left hand out front almost like a "feeler" but it has to be loose and easy

  • @yvanbister To be good at dodging a punch is quite simple, you have to keep your head moving, check out videos of head movement, I amsure there's a few tutorials on here that could help you out and above work mostly on your jab as a good jab can disrupt anybody and it also helps you gain openings, if you have a strong jab your opponent is less likely to want to engage you, it may make him hesitate while he is throwing punches which will buy you more time and make you more likely to defend

  • after that you will be able to work on your footwork and ring movement which will improve both defence and power altogether, good luck with it and let me know how it goes

  • @jalidav1 awesome answer thx :) I found this post on google that said to shadowbox with a tennisball between mij chin and torso to learn to keep my head down, think thats a good idea?

  • @yvanbister the only thing you can do is try it, if it helps keep doing it if not try something else, for instance i do know that in some thai gyms they tape tacks to the students heels to keep them on there toes, ouch!! obviously the tennis ball thing wont stop you getting hit but it will lessen the shakage on your brain which will prevent you being knocked out

  • Did someone fart at 1:37 ???? XDXD

  • i enjoyed your video. i hope i can take up boxing soon. i just turned 30 and i wanna try something new. i live in san francisco would you know how i would be able to get plug into the boxing scene out here

  • @mrjerker123100 its a technique man. theres no way u can slow mo the whole fight and duck and weave all the punches coming ur way. in a real fight if u know the right technique and have enough experience, you can duck and weave most of the power punches. And correctly executed boxing punches are much more effective and powerful than the wild "swings"

  • dodging is hard to improve i think its either u can or cant do it well...for example me and my brother box for about 9-10 years now...he's 20 i'm 21...we are both 69kg (welterweight) and we have pretty much the same body and same hand speed...but i dodge a lot and i mean a lot in a fight...but i throw very few punches...my bro cannot dodge almost anything incoming,he just covers up but he plays very agressive and throws a lot of punches...no idea why this happens...

  • @kypselialani14 would be interesting to see if that corresponds to chacter types? he being more agressive in nature while you are more suttle possibly, or reserved ? You possibly being more patient and him not so much ?... just throwing this out there for curiosity sakes, let me know if thats true or not

  • @goinghard101 well yes he is agressive comparing to me,i'm the nice guy of the familly :P i'm more patient and kind...for example, something we often fight about...if we spar and he loses he will be yelling all the way home that i play like a "girl" for playing def etc etc...and makes it personal...if i lose i dont care that much...maybe fighting style is related to character finally...

  • @MrDanny301 omg dude iv been trying to find the answer's for the exact same questions you asked for months now!

  • @mrjerker123100 That's why almost all the time they lose, because they swing all over the fucking place, while the other experienced person just swings and knocks him out

  • @MrReborn714 I know.People think they are so hard because they throw punches everywere and get lucky and catch a person. They would get really messed up if they fought a experienced boxer

  • @illmindful Exactly.

  • @mrjerker123100 agreed. I am in high school, i wouldnt be doing that if I was in a fight. would be like boxing.

  • this guy reminds me of Jason Statham

  • @mrjerker123100 yep. so true

  • Im sick of all these racist comments, coming from a white.. When you go on holiday to get a tan remember that the people you look down on beat you too it

  • i like your videos. but just wonderin' how long have u been boxing?

  • @S34Ninc This is Justin Fortune he was a professional Heavyweight. He never had that many fights maybe about 25 or something and he lost probably as many as he won.He also fought Lennox Lewis but was knocked out in 4 rounds. He also got fucked for taking steroids(while working with Freddie Roach)If that is on any interest to you.He fought right through the 90s till about 2001 then came back for one fight couple of years ago but got KO'd in a round.Thats about all the info I can give, hope it helps

  • @SugarRayP4P thanks

  • if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a punch

  • @munkalunkie if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a bullet

  • @munkalunkie from the movie dogeball i love it to funny

  • @munkalunkie same thing goes for a bullet

  • haha its funny because ppl i see fighting fight like they have siezures i mean its funny:D

  • Advice on how not to get hit from a punch drunk boxer, lol

  • question...in realtime is it really effective to paw off a jab and counter with the same hand u used to perry the jab like you did at 1:26 ?

  • i've never seen anyone else show how to block an uppercut the way he does in this video

  • this really is kinda silly

  • im not gunna take this advice if its coming from a white guy, and i dont listen to anything from expert village

  • @miniclip5555 this guys a world class trainer/strength and conditioning coach and a former boxer he knows what he's talking about despite being white

  • @miniclip5555 This coming from a black guy? ROFLMAO.

White people fighting : Actually dodging and throwing correct punches

Black people fighting: Throwing your hands out and spinning them in circles hoping someone gets hit by it.

  • @TEDDADON i thought i would see something new and practice it in sparring at the gym

  • THATS MY TRAINER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ilovenewell1177

    Thats steroids for ya...

  • lol this guy is showing people common sense

  • @devonmac95 Some people need to be taught common sense haha

  • @BoxingProgressionTWS haha true

  • how to dodge a punch?

    pull a gun.

  • @DRATER469 Lol well if you look all of the greatest fighters fight with their hands down Leonard Roy Jones Ali. Not saying it's something to be mimicked but yeah

  • Why are the ppl in the slow mo clips dropping their hands? Lol

  • @ExileHorror It's easier to move around with your hands down they act as a counter balance

  • when im boxing i find it hard to get a punch into the face. they always block my punches. how do i get them in the face? HELP

  • boxings is for faggets

  • @jonbon2111 and guys that kick ass

  • boxing is all about footwork. if ur opponent simply cant hit u u have won the fight. i have won many fights in and the ring w/o having to strike at all. but a strong kidney shot when there gassed always works :)

  • Idk, this guy has some good advice but the start of this vid only showed rolls, not slips, he didn't slip until the end of the vid. You don't drop under the punch for a slip. And the counter punch, u knock a jab away with ur right and come in with a left straight. You don't knock the jab and punch with the same hand, to slow, the other guys one two has way to much time to get there. You knock the jab with the right and come in with the left in one motion, fast and he doesn't see it coming.

  • @blindbraille wont that leave u vulnerable?

  • Lol you guys are real cute fighting on here, it's just ADORABLE, let me give you both a kiss *SMooch Smooch*

    Step2: Repeat step 1

  • @ROB6ZOMBIE666 lolz hahahahahaha thats funny hahahahahahah

  • "Very very good thing in boxing, you don't wana get hit that much" Yeah usually when I box, i wana get hit a little, it brings my mood up lmao, moron, "You don't wana get hit at all!"

  • Well.Secondary teacher tiil I get back to My BOXZING :) ;)

  • Okej, im just warning everyone here to not catch an upercut like he just did... never drop your hands from your chin like that.

  • @G0tchya - Depends where she lives. In the Muslim world? Nothing. The civilised world? Separation/divorce and restraining order if necessary.

  • @G0tchya - Actually I'm a man. It was just a joke. In addition, premeditated murder is against the law last time I checked. Or was that a joke too?

  • OMG that girl he was explaining with, is hot @_@ Really made me pay attention XD

  • didnt help its bullshit

  • @weedyak read the other comments bro, it helped someone

  • @dolinnboy15 ok ok

  • useful advice, i really like this videos

  • Take a look at that hole under his arms lol

  • @Is954best lol you have a sharp eye :) i just saw it xD maybe thats why his acting nerves

  • anderson silva doesn't need to keep his hands up

  • there´s not just on way to block the uppercut. if you keep your center protected ( adjusting your upper body ) the hit may impact in your elbow, without having to sacrifice your striking weapon. am I right?

  • i noticed that when he blocked the uppercut he was completely open to a left hook. You could block it with the left hand, and counter with a right straight so u would block the uppercut and the hook if they decided to throw one at ur face

  • any tips on how to switch stances (left lead to right lead) while weaving?

i'm a short, but burly martial artist, and i'm adding some boxing skills to my Judo/Jujitsu for some more offense/self defense.

  • I dont want to get hit at all....

  • I have those gloves. Best Pair i've owned so far even though they are Thai boxing gloves, not that different.

  • Lol there was a bully at my school and he tryed to pick a fight on me and i knocked him out with a counter right hook

  • someone must have told him his shirt had a hole in it so he changed into the black one

  • none of you are going to learn how to dodge punches by watching this the only way is by going to the gym and sparring so get off your butts

  • @JO3haNsum stfu you keyboard champion

  • @abe339 jaja yea like if you really know me

hey! why you mad at me for it is not my fault you do not have a life and that you can't dodge a punch lmfao

  • im not an expert, but doesnt it seem unrealistic to stop an uppercut with a downward slap?

  • @utahboy86 no not really because when you slap the uppercut you slowing its momentum so if it does reach you it is very slow and weak. this opens up for a counter punch.

  • I love the way this man explain. So simple yet so good and understandable.

  • I can definitely tell I'm a southpaw. Right hand is weak as hell. Left hand...total devastation.

  • You dont just move your head or else your whole body is still in line with the fighter. If they followed up with a few body shots you would get caught. Footwork is crucial, where ever the feet move the body and head will follow.

  • move ya head, that's how ya dodge.

  • move ya head, that how ya dodge.

  • will this help me beat Bald Bull on Punch Out!! for the wii?..justkidding thanks for all the help, im now thinking on train boxing (im a little scared of see my face all deformed but no pain no gain)

  • I used this to beat up the school bully and his friends and now I AM A GOD!!!!!!!

  • ahaha i did that once in a fight on an accident

when my head came back up i threw the kid to the ground and i thought wtf

because i didn't know i could do that.

  • great and simple

  • no wonder you can dodge! you are dodging old men ad women!

  • anyone notice the whole in the guys shirt XD

  • Great advice this guys a real pro.

  • @znile1 - Actually it was a joke. I'm not a sodomite or a woman. Thank you for your interest.
