@mulcontent i also contacted John Anthony West on this subject and the findings of the NPWS and Macquarie Uni Egyptology Dept. from 1983, he said it needs re examining with modern technology and ideas.
@cobboGHS91I contacted Prof. Nageeb Kanawati head of Egyptology at Macquarie Uni last year and he confirmed the glyphs were " merely scratches done by an amateur " and also around the same time I contacted the NPWS who also confirmed the site was monitored over a few years post discovery and they observed the creation of the underground chambers in 2001 , photo evidence of materials stockpiled on the site as well as catching one culprit red handed in 1984 , I have copies of both documents
I heard about this from a Aussie friend, not sure really what to make of it.although there seems to be a lot of evidence pointing towards cook really not being the first to discover Australia.it's well know that the dutch actually did around the 15th century got to W.a also reached Tasmania, which was called van demons land.in 2001' a Chinese map was found that carbon dated to be 13 to 12century b.c with what seems to be a detailed map of all of Australia's as well as all of Antarctica.GREAT VID!!
Gympie pyramid org---"Importantly the soil becomes progressively worse the higher up the slope one proceeds, until near the summit where it is almost pure sand. Yet the terraces become more significant as one approaches the summit. That is to say there are higher stone walls with more energy required to construct them the worse the soil becomes. This again contradicts the theory that the terraces had an agricultural function or purpose"Sorry i couldn't fit everything in 1 comment, def not Italian
:Interestingly the soil of the lower terraces turned out to be a red sandy loam, evidently this terrace was right on the conjunction of where two geological features meet creating a soil which was mixed with the weathered sand stone above that terrace and the clay based red soil zone which exists lower down the hillside. This is an important feature because it shows the soil is very much more suited for agricultural purposes on the gentle slopes at the base of the hill below the terraced area.
this is part of a dig report from gympiepyramidorg The results of this excavation were interesting in as much as the exposed soil strata clearly demonstrated that there had been no “back filling” of the terraced area behind the stone walls with any kind of higher grade soil. The thin native soil was all that was there
check the site out.it's very interesting. IF The site is pre Cook. And spoken about by the local aboriginal tribes.that throws a massive spanner in our history books.cheers mate
@mulcontent yeah I've read these claims.that it was originally a old vineyard built from Italian immigrantsfact is there is no record of any Italian immigrants living in the area up until the end of 1947.and the site was already there when james nash founded gympie in 1867 so it does predate white settlers.rumors grew about a terraced stone structure on the outside of the town, that had perfectly cut sandstone blocks to use for construction, this was recorded.and the local tribe speak of it too
@hypophosphorus666 Maybe you could track down some old newspaper reports , parish maps , goverment reports would make better evidence for your arguments than hearsay from a hardly reliable webpage that hasn't been updated since 2007 and Aboriginals did work in stone making structures ( not buildings ) for ceremonies and track marking , even evidence of a stonehenge type celestial monument in Vic
It was built by chinese / european farmers who terraced part of the site for farming in the 1800's , easliy available information add hoax to your tags lol
