great video! The syory is a parable with real meaning but not about some pagan fairy tale place of eternal torture. Eternal Torture doctrine is not scriptural and it is a horrble heresy that Churchianity teaches to keep people in line, in fear, and ignorance about the Gospel message of 1 Corr 15:22 and the rest of the entire Bible
@wjcharlieee - "Hell" is a real place. But you quoted Rev 20:10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
The "Lake of Fire" is not "Hell". If they are the same, than explain this verse: "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire." Rev 20:14.
"Hell" has different meanings based on the translation. In this case it means "grave" (Greek: hades).
The immortal soul by default is a pagan idea. Plato, and other philosophers, talked about it. This doctrine is a form of necromancy, and not really Christian. I do not subscribe to Christianity, or any religion, but I find it odd when Christians support pagan concepts, since the bible speaks against them.
@KevZen2000 your 100 percent correct why christians still belive in the immortal soul i have no idea, guess as long as there is a devil to decieve they,ll belive anything!
Im just wandering if BIBLEORTRADITIONS will be discussing every parables. I just hope you would consider the Parable of the 5 virgins-women with their lamps. Im looking forward what would be the interpretation. As far as I know it represents the church, the gifts of the holy spirit, and the rapture.
@carvee I heard the oil in the lamps represent the Holy Spirit ....the foolish virgins are lukewarm christian's who aren't filled with the Holy Spirit and they're caught unprepared
klegser - please consider from A. Barnes: "The name god is here given to him, not because he has any divine attributes, but because he actually has the homage of the people of this world as their god, as the being who is really worshipped, or who has the affections of their hearts in the same way as it is given to idols. By this world is meant the wicked world; or the mass of people."
Likewise, as bibleortraditions noted, there is truly only one God in the Bible; just because the word "god" is used, does not mean Satan is divine anymore than the "gods" which Jehovah/God declared that men should not put before him (see Deut 5:7) were truly divine. Or any of the other references you will find in the Scriptures to "gods" such as Isa 37:38, 43:12, 45:20, Acts 7:43, etc.
Satan is not "God" or "god" of anything. Almighty God has his direct and permissive will. Nothing, absolutely nothing happens outside of His purpose and will. The devil can only do what Almighty God allows him to do. Not one speck more.
To BibleOrTraditions I just want to say--- its nice to have you back again my friend. Its been a long while since you've updated your channel even in your website. You have been missed.... anyway, thanks you, God bless and keep it up.
That was during Christ's earthly ministry; when Christ rose from the dead and conquered death and sin he crushed the serpents head. Jesus is on the throne, the devil is beholden to all of God's will. This was true from day one. Remember Job and how the devil had to get permission from God and could not go outside of what God had decreed?
Jesus Christ IS King of kings, and Lord of lords. God may allow at this time to let the devil do his deeds, but nothing... absolutely nothing is done outside the permissive will of Almighty God. Jesus Christ sat down at the right hand of Majesty. He said from the cross, "It is finished" Ther devil is defeated and his time is short.
"And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matt 19:24-26
This person was boasting that he kept all the commandments and was seeking to justify himself. But salvation is not by works, and no one deserves God's love. Salvation is only made possible by Him.
I also want to thank you, because we had never heard that this was a Kingdom parable, and as soon as we started examining that possibility the Lord taught us so much about it! Still eager to see what you have in store though!
We have been studying this parable again lately, and are glad that you're releasing videos about it. Looking forward to the other parts. When do you think the second one will be posted?
I like this video up to now, can't wait for part 2 BibleorTraditions! I've been trying to tell people about the interpretation of this parable for years. People just seem to want to use this to justify eternal hell. One of the stumbling blocks people will have for the interpretation you give, which I share, about it being a kingdom parable such as the others, is that people first have to learn about the truth of the tribes of Israel and that Judah is not all of Israel. I know what's in part 2.
klegster, I agree, we should heed this warning. And it does indeed say that the wicked shall be cast into the Lake of Fire along with hell and death. I do not dispute the existance of the Lake of Fire but of the duration of time the wicked shall spend in it.
Klegster - You are correct. Yet let us look at a very famous chpt in Rev 14 in context where we can see that the people here who are tormented with fire and brimstone, 1. are alive and not dead, 2. are on earth (vs 6), 3. are worshiping the beast and his image (vs. 9), and subsequently have the wrath of God poured out upon them. The context being torment poured out to them as they are alive on earth with the wrath poured out not by the devil but rather God and his angels; they being present.
That is a great question and I can only give you my thoughts as it is not 100% clear to me. First, I believe the kingdom of Christ is now on earth, not in its fullest sense when he comes back, but still I see Jesus on the throne as the king over the earth now and not just when he returns. To answer your question, I believe it will happen before Mystery Babylon is destroyed and before Christ comes to rule and reign where God will pour out his wrath on those who worship the beast/anti-Christ.
The thing that is different about this parable is that there is a proper name given. There is no contradiction if Jesus uses a real situation to illustrate a point. He also can and does make more than one point at a time. And i do not think that he was talking to Lazarus directly. Isaiah 66:24 does say that we will gaze upon the dead bodies of the unrighteous This does not negate your point but seems to indicate that there is more than one point here. Looking forward to part 2..
@moteintheeye "Son of man, can these bones live?" (God to Ezekiel) "Let the dead bury their dead" (Jesus) ; "With men it is impossible; but with God, all things are possible." ( Jesus ). "The wrath of God is revealed against all * unrighteousness* of men" (Paul). "And Jesus spoke to them in parables; without parable, he spoke not". "My words are spirit. The flesh profiteth nothing." (Jesus). Catch the vision!
Very interesting. However, not ready to take it hook, line and sinker. I for one will wait for part 2 and also apply ACTS 17:11 as should all viewing any of these videos.
thank you for Making this video. there are so many people that believe this to be a true store and not a parable. only the Holy Spirit can open they minds to see the truth
where in thwe bible does it say "jesus is a personal saviour?"
