woooo i'm loving sepak takraw now... we played it once and i was kicking the ball very high(going to the opponent) though my legs are short , my mates told me that the ball being too high and fast is a disadvantage, i also kick the ball straight and fast , they said that the ball might hit the net i'm so confused are they right or what? loving sepak now but still confused if i kick the ball right help please

Thailand has Sepak Takraw, but Philippines have Sipa, which is like the same thing but in Sipa you don't always use Rattan balls. I learned about sipa when i was a little kid, my cousins in cebu showed me with a washer with like a ribbon on it and my cousin had a hacky sack. Proud to be Filipino.

Philippine's setting let them down. often it sprayed off in the wrong direction, or was in the wrong spot for the finisher to finish it properly. Lets hope they've worked on that area of their game.
