I live in "Sydney" Australia and I saw a U.F.O in the night skies around 7:10pm last week whilst walking back home from work. It was a bright white ball of light "very bright" and was silently hovering over houses in the distance whilst beaming a ray of light on the roofs of the houses it passed (very weird I must say) and it definatly wasn't a plane or helicopter as I see them in the skies everyday around where I live "very weird indeed". (JUST THOUGHT I'D LET YOU ALL KNOW).

Final conclusion: As usual, neither people, nor military came to the idea to investigate the sighting series by scientific means.

Instead, they made huge reports und took hundreds of useless images.

E.g. witnesses talk about 'radiation' without any data that back up these claims. Sorry, but what kind of radiation? Photonic? In what spectrum? Or particles? If yes, what was the composition?

It's foolish to believe that the Brazilian government has not once studied the reports in a scientific, analytic manner...probably in secret. What they have found will most likely remain classified (streng geheim) for a very long time.

PaterTuus, nobody doubts, military people will keep things secret, they do not understand - what does not neccessarly mean, they had conducted a scientific analysis by appropriate means. Since laymen are obsessed in photographic 'evidence' (what proves simply nothing) I don't think Brasilien military guys did another approach. That's of coarse a guess, but I don't think I'm terribly wrong with it.

What I can say for sure is, I met several people who saw UFOs here on that time, and they were not on drugs or something. I mean in 1977.

aiklarung, UFO is a technical term for an unfamiliar aerial phenomenon, an observer can't explain at the time of sighting. There are hundreds of reasons and dozens of possible explanations. With sufficient data, a particular sighting can be explained - otherwise a UFO remains what it is: Unknown. Remember, before its declassification, the B2-bomber created ten-thousends of UFO-sighting reports. Due to its 'otherworldy' appearance, many people sweared by God, they saw an 'alien spaceship'.

Ok, but it was a big silver dish with lights on the middle. It was my mother and several (5 is several in this case, I believe) friends of her from a building. it was at night. My father saw several ligths moving in a group-like formation on the road that year, at sunfall. My cousin supposedly had a close contact with some weird "grey" creature when a small child, way too small to know the gray stuff. No, I had no contact or even saw aliens whatsoever. But I'm not sceptic in the fanatic sense.

aiklarung, skepticism has nothing to do with denial. People misinterpret that fact, since they fill in missing gaps of knowledge with beliefs. So they are used to jump on quick conclusions, while scientists and engineers are trained to live with open hypotheses and find solid answers. So an unusual object does not mean automatically, you saw an ET-spaceship. There is a physical model around for a while, you wouldn't trust your eyes when you saw, what we can do. These things are dangerous.

PaterTuus, meanwhile the Brazilian Air Force delassified and published their UFO-files a month ago. As suspected, they did absolutly NO in vivo-investigations, what yielded in zero new knowledge. The methodology of collecting sighting reports is as useful if somebody collected reports about lightning and thunder - to find out, if Zeus were responsible for these phenomena.

14 people from around the world claimed 2 hav been abducted by aliens and studied then returned, all people describe a long ship with a large stream of light across the back of it, about half a kilometer long and about 3500 m high, all 14 people described it exactly the same... ufoligists and others studied into this case and came up with sum info, the people had never been in contact with each other and each case had a lot of witnesses... just a coincedence? think about it...
