it's the truth bro,evans MXT gives you warm rich tone but depth in the 3 and 4 but brings out the highs in the spock(s)drums. It provides a focused sustain and the attack is defined and its durability is backed by 7.5mil plies of film they also use for evans marching bass heads. I think evans has then beat. No offence....

when I marched our tenor, we were always changing out the heads. pin strips dont not last on tenors.

aww jeremy... That's exactly why I hate pin stripes on Tenor drums. On drum set toms, I think they're alright, but on tenors...NO (especially in the cold weather)

My school marches yamaha with pinstripes, and throughout my last year in high school, I broke about 6 of them. 4 in rehearsals, and about 2 in performances.

Not to mention, we don't even have large size drums, much less do we even tune as high as RCC. I'm suprised the rest of those heads held up as well as they did...

@whsquads corps vets 2004. i made tenor camp in spirit 2002 but got cut due to my hypoclecima and physical condition...lol i could not run for shit!!!...tenor players cant be out of shape in spirit!!!...i have the sheet music still to prove it. the instructer in fact for us was none other than nick angelos....(from blast) i got lots of instruction form him. there was also frank ingelesas, clint gelisspie from JSU and many others......

hypoglycemia more than likely requires hospitalization if it gets too severe, so if you were out auditioning you were out of your mind. Second, you could have still marched with it. Alls you had to do was keep your calcium up. I don't doubt you auditioned for those corps, just the level at which you auditioned.

I don't think so. Having played on several different drum heads from Remo and Evans, I'd have to say the Pinstripes are either first or second on my list.
