Apparently they are planning on making a sequel, based on the second book "World Without End", which is fantastic news!! I have to admit that I haven't read the books, so I have no idea if the second book has the same main characters...

@mister88 World without end is a good book. However, since I read it after Pillas of the Earth, I thought that it was lacking a focused plot. In POTE, it was focused on the war of succession as well as the building the cathedral. However, World without end is advertized about being focused on the Black Plague and a secret introduced in the beginning but it takes him over half the book to get to it. I think its obvious that I like Pillars of the Earth a lot more than World Without End.

I bought the DVD by chance. I had already read the books when I was younger, and I loved it, so when I saw the DVD in the shop... I said "why not... let's see!"

And OH MY GOD!!!!!

when I watched it I was so happy for having bought it!
