@RGpranin out the more difficult task of SEAD and CAS while the Fettuccine fighters are providing top cover for an adversary that doesn't exist. I know I sure felt better know my six was covers. Bottom line even if the whole European union rapid reaction force which is a paper army was to fight in Afghanistan instead of the USA military had Europe been attacked on 9/11 your countries have no stratigic Airlift or sea lift to get said forces to anywhere outside of europe without US support.

OK Manfredi89. I am just a bit old fashioned and believe that Old Europe owes the USA "Big Time". This is a very British thing. We Brits appreciate all the USA has done for us. They are the "best of Friends" when things are tough.
