Yes, you put the complete black background behind the actual object. I will be making a much better version, this 1 was from when i was 10.

no i didn't name it. it was named over 75 years ago by a parlor magician. bucket head actually took the name. (still a good song :)

nope, it was invented by an engineer called Henry Dircks he then tried to sell the illusion to theaters but couldn't and eventually John Pepper, who was the director at the royal polytechnic, saw it and used it there to encourage more visitors etc.
