I think what you have done is really inspirational, and you touched the lives of quite a few. I did something simiar here in the UK after seeing this. It went well, and I came home feeling the best I've been in years!! Thank you for posting this.
thats really sweet, this simple act shows how pure and kind your heart is. Some people who refused to take the money stated "give it to someone else" and I found that sweet too, because they knew someone out there could use the 5 dollars. Well happy very belated birthday by the way :) And I sure do miss NY.
Well, actually, not to be rude or anything, I think that this is a great thing to do, but "Pay it forward" actually came from a book, which also became a movie. I haven't watched the show on Oprah, but that's where it really came from.
Yes, we are aware of that . . . and we all saw the film. It is the "action" of pay if forward, not the title; which Oprah does all the time . . . and had an episode, basically, about "giving back"; which is, for all intensive purposes, "paying it forward".
All of you who watch this . . . PLEASE WATCH PART 02. You are missing some great moments. I know it's long, nevertheless, more happens and some people need their credits seen!
What a neat idea!! It's amazing how scarred the world is. People are so used to being swindled and scammed that some of them wouldn't even accept five dollars!! That is just so sad!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Great great video!!!
Actually, there were quite a few who wouldn't take the $5.00, and looked at us like we were trying to hurt them! On another message board, I was even verbally attacked for doing it! They said I had 'no right' to disturb people on their quiet [I laugh here], rides on the subway. New York for ya'!
And do know . . .I LOVE NEW YORK. It is my home. I just sometimes am amazed, anywhere; how people cannot accept gifts. They've become so cynical or expect a catch or a swindle. But me, I always say "yes" to money!!! At least, cash money . . .

Thank you . . . I wish my 2008 birthday had been as financially lucrative. I am aiming to give away $10.00 or $20.00 to fifty people this year!!!
It really was so much fun.
