  • Hey, Robert!

    Great playing.

I was just wondering if the gold hardware has tarnished/oxidized at all?

  • Rude Mood! :D

  • Robert, I just bought the same guitar but prefer the neck it has on it 12" radius (short fingers) and rosewood fret board, great guitar for the money but I really just want to say GREAT PLAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just bought this guitar, I have to say I would also prefer a maple neck. How hard is it to swap out? I have some technical background, but that's a pretty bold project!

  • Hi there - Getting the same guitar but want a maple neck - where did you get yours? Thanks, - Great playing btw - what amp are you playing through? any OD pedals?

  • i hate most videos with a demo of annoying guitar licks they made up, but yours are so amazing they sound so crisp and great especially on the strat. Great Demo!

  • Just ordered mine! Same finish with a rosewood fretboard. Can't wait!!

  • It did not surprise me one bit when I read you're a professional player on your page. This is some of the finest blues playing I've heard. Oh, and nice demo too.

  • 3 people are jealous and it shows

  • Hi Robert, I really like your playing, videos and your web.

Two questions, Do you use the tremolo in this guitar? It keeps in tune after you use it?

You make it sound really good, thanks and greetings!!

  • @adansr79 Thanks, glad to hear. I use the tremolo, and if you set it up right, it stays in tune. Might need a tech to help with that - strats can be finicky in this regard.

  • @rotren Thanks for answering and so fast!!

  • Mine should be her next week, cant freaking wait!

  • What is it you start playing at 32.00? Thanks, peace.

  • @kenco117 do you not know tht that song is "rude mood" by Stevie Ray Vaughan??????? whered you come from? under a rock???? lol jkjkjk. srv is beast :)

  • @ghost6392 I thought he said he didn´t know. What you thought he said?

  • @deapwavelio just saying its a song he should have already known. lol no prob. srv is still the beast

  • Which, in your opinion is better: This or the american special series?

  • @LuteroReforma Had to say, the American is probably better, but this one costs quite a bit less.

  • Is this start I saw from you earlier with rosewood fretboard?

  • @zkoszegi1 Yes

  • Wow ! Very very good sound ... I love that ! What kind of strings are you using ?

  • @pepitorockeur Don't remember

  • Wow ! Very very cool ...

I love your sound and I would like to know what kind of strings are you using ?

  • Fabulous demo and great playing. I've had my eye on this guitar for a few weeks now, played one in the store and was impressed and your demo sealed the deal. Great demonstration of dynamics. Thanks for posting this.

  • @ElevenBravo - Man me too, I am sold... This is the config. I am looking at, Just looks and sounds outstanding. Great Demo

  • @ElevenBravo Post-Christmas Update: Santa brought me one of these!!! Woo-hoo! 3-tone Sunburst w/ Rosewood fretboard. It sounds and plays even better than I could've hope it would. This guitar sings. Love the vintage noiseless pick-ups. I have no idea why some other people have commented that these pick-ups are life-less. Probably because their playing is life-less. Again, thanks for posting this jamming demo. Your playing style is dead-on with where my ears are. Cheers. :)

  • is the guitar serial american or mexican ?

  • @eliabandrade

All the Deluxe Players Strat guitars are mexican.

  • do you prefer a maple neck to rosewood? I want this exact guitar, but I have a real nasty maple neck now and I'd have to order the guitar online so I couldn't try both models out at the store....

  • @Oneill9293 Maple - bright sound, Rosewood,- smooth/soft sound

  • i have the MIM artic white strat, maple neck, w/ american std pickups..and I love it...i tried 4-5 strats from the Squier to a AM STD(including several MEXICANS) and even though some were suppose to identical..only one FELT great..thats the one I bought. MY point..BUY WHAT FEELS AND SOUNDS GOOD TO YOU...youll be happier.

  • very sweet playing - Robert.

  • Which, in your opinion is better: This or the standard mim strat. i'm asking because I haven't played this one and am looking into a strat.

  • @MitchRulzWorld This one is better I think.

  • @rotren I am looking for a really classic Fender tone. The Fender HSS strat sienna burst looks good too. Does this still get you that hendrix, srv, gilmour tone? Well, maybe not gilmour, but still...?

  • @MitchRulzWorld Hard to answer - it depends a lot on the amp and pedals, but yeah, it's a flexible strat. For a vintage sounding Strat, this may not be perfect, since it has noiseless pickups and a more modern sound. I have several videos on youtube featuring this guitar, perhaps those can help you get an idea of the sound of this guitar.

  • @rotren I've seen em. I love the sound of it. I haven't played it though. I have played the standard mim, and loved the neck, but I don't know the radius. I can't find it anywhere.

  • Great sounding guitar! Awesome playing too man! With enough practice maybe I'll play groovy stuff like that too!

  • want this for live performances, specially rhcp, clapton, jimmy and zeppelin stuff would you reccomend this? i mean those pickups sound like single coil without the hum or they sound like humbuckers?

  • @ivncdo0809 It's a great live guitar, and no, they don't sound like humbuckers.

  • Awesome playing and video. Why exactly don't you like the 12" radius? too flat? Thanks.

    Mitch

  • @MitchRulzWorld Well I think it's not the radius - the "chunkiness" was the problem. It felt like a baseball bat in my small hands. Just not comfortable for me, but it was a great neck. Very nice quality.

  • @rotren Thanks for the reply. What do you think about compound radius?

  • @MitchRulzWorld Whatever makes a guitar feel great is good. This is a personal preference of course - I have a compound radius guitar that I like, but I have non-compound radius necks I like a lot as well. All about personal preference - try and see what YOU like.

  • @rotren My fav thing about strats is that they feel snappy. When you bend them, there's just something about it. It feels so real. Maybe it could be due to a flatter radius. Les pauls feel kind of loose, ya know?

  • Hi rotren, nice playing as usual. Just curious, What do you think of the pickups on these deluxe player strats?

  • is that strat mexican ? sound is fuckin' awesome !

  • @JodmunguarD Mexican, yes.

  • damn i want this guitar so bad....

  • nice demo as always! Do you like the new neck 9.5" better than the stock 12" neck which came with the guitar?

  • @fenderilize Yes, I like the 9.5" more.

  • at 3:50, that is amazing. i was already a lover of the color scheme of this guitar, and strats altogether, but jazzmasters caught me, but this delux strat brings me right on back!

  • funky

  • such a dry snappy flavour! getting a jap custom with maple neck soon

  • Wheres that confounded bridge?

  • ill buy the stock neck from you, ive getten to the 12" radius haha

  • Your rippin' up that baby nice guy!

  • Maple is sweet, to taste and to play.

Simply beautiful guitar, and very nice playing too.

  • i have the american delux 3 tone sunburst with rosewood fretboard !! i love it! maby my next strat i get ill get a maple fretboard! i love the sounds of both

  • Guitarofzedead i think it was first made in 2004... but im not sure

  • "you already subscribed to rotren."

  • Hey guys,

I have the red version of this, and it looks pretty old, can anyone tell me when they first started making this specific model?

  • Are those the stock pickups?

  • @DaanJM

those would be. they are stock with noisless fender alinco 5 single coils. not bad on a guitar thats have the price of an american and sounds just as good if not better in ways.

  • i just ordered mine and it should be in my hands by firday! CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!

  • The Vintage Noiseless pickups are a muddy mess when in the bridge position and drive used. I swapped out mine with Van Zandts and new tone cap. Much better, with better output, better tone, I can live with a little noise, but not bad tone. If you listen to this video long enough you will hear how muddy the VNs are in the bridge position and thin sounding throughout, despite low quality sound in the video. The guitar itself is great, I bought one, just dump the pickups

  • Great sound, but you´re an incredible player, that helps too...

  • im still looking at this guitar and the new fender strat 70's (mexican made 2) anyone tried both and been able to tel difference because the 70s is a lITtle more expensive and i wanna kno if i can save any money so i can upgrade some stuff :) thanks, and rlly good palying tho

    \m/

  • try'em out first before u just buy 1. all my guitars are rosewood, i played a maple neck, and loved it. its all about preference just because the wood is difrent dosent make it anybetter of a guitar, majority of the greatest guitar player ever use rosewood, but i play better with maple

  • Not true. Hendrix and Clapton used Maple. SRV and Blackmorre and Beck use both. It's all prefference but a Rosewood has a darker and smooth sound. A Maple has warmer and lush tones. I love both though, different tonal variety.

  • More pop?

  • Should I get maple or rosewood? Wha do you think?

  • i like rosewood because it sounds a little better. but then i like maple because it feels a lot better. it all depends on your taste. make sure you try em' both out.

  • The maple looks better ´cause contrast with dark guitar body...

  • maple gives u more action than rosewood but both have incredible sounds

  • This man is incredible...

  • 0:48 wow amazing sound

  • i dig that sound you have going on.

  • That Twang Thang ! > Better a Couch guitar - than a couch Potato.

  • jajaja

  • white boy blues!

  • you've got it!!

  • that's some powerful playin' y'all got goin' there

  • 1:07 to 1:23 outch

  • Comment removed

  • haha I love 1:54 Nice playing!!

  • For all of you out there who want to buy this guitar, let me tell that I was dissappointed in how heavy it was. I think its because the body is made of ash

  • beautiful guitar. funky nice playing

  • i was looking at it today i cant wait to get it tomorrow

  • idk....

its a great guitar, but it only has 21 frets.

    :(

  • Most fender strats unfortunately only have 21.

  • nice sound from the noiseless pups!!

  • i'm buying that guitar.

and i'll post a vid about it.

    mark my words

  • cualquier guitarra con esas pastillas, y una construccion similar sonara igual o mejor, las fender no tienen nada de especial, solo son marca

  • how would you find a guitar like you say that isnt fender? to get this construction and pickups u need to buy a fender

  • or a g&l

  • I got a question. I have a strat body that isnt big enough to fit my new 50's RI neck and i dont know what to do. The neck is 2-3/16 but I think the body is smaller. Do I get a new body or can i shave it down just a little bit to make it fit??

Oh, Great playing man! yeah maple necks!

  • thanks! I'm not qualified enough in guitar building to give you an answer. I just play the suckers! Check with a real tech.

  • rude mood sounded pretty good

  • Your such a great player!!!!

let me have your bend technique

  • what is that you start to play at 0:39 ?

  • Just improvising anything that comes to mind.

  • nothin says America like the sound of a strat!

  • chops supreme.

  • whats wrong with noiseless pickups? just curious, i'm new to the single coil family.

  • Nothing is wrong with them, strat purists feel that it doesn't give them the true stratocaster sound. It's all personal preference.

  • I think i'll play them side by side to see if I can even tell, the most noticeable difference will probably be that the noiseless pickups are more quiet lol. And this is SUPPOSED to be an improvement, not sacrificing sound right?

  • hey sorry to bother you but do you think fender 1970 stra is bttr???

  • one quiestio, what neck is more thin, U neck, C neck, or V neck????

  • You have a very natural feel when you play and it makes for nice listening, good playing. You kept the stock pickups on it right? They are made in the US right, I mean if that is recent enough it should be...?

  • Yes, stock pickups. Fender Vintage Noiseless.

  • nice sound. Are you a professional?¿

  • Thanks, not really, I don't gig enough because I live in a small town and I don't have a steady band.

  • Really nice playing. I plan to steal some of your licks!

  • Thanks, be my guest! 25 cents per lick please... :)

  • thks for showing me the might of a Mexico strat! super awesome!

  • Thanks!

  • You area a very good guitar player... How long have you been playing? It's been 29 years for me and now I am a collector...

  • Thank you. I have been playing for 26 years or so.

  • Yeah man, very good sound. I have the same guitar as well. Except it looks like I need to do some more practicing than you.

  • the stuff @ 3:50 was sooOOo amazing....youve got great tone and play very emotional and clean

  • I am glad you like it! Thank you.

  • nice job and i have the same guitar....60th anniversary edition...its amazing

  • great bluesy feel, man

  • Thank you.

  • i have a deluxe too. why do my noiseless p-ups sound weak? theyre not bad with OD but suck clean.any suggestions?

  • These pickups are good, not great. For great pickups, get some true single coils, not noiseless ones.

  • Did you replace any of the pickups or are they the same ones that came with it?

  • The same ones - all stock pickups.

  • hey uh i was just wondering if it was possible to buy this exact guitar in the blue with the maple fretboard at a store rather then doing all the customizing 'cause every store ive been to says they cant I REALLY NEED URE HELP(ps ure aweseome at guitar)

  • I have not seen this one with a maple neck. I did the modification myself - you may need to do the same.

  • I love the tone you start using at 50 seconds in. it's very john mayer and that's a great thing. Excellent playing.

  • Hi, I really like your style, I can really hear your "speaking" through through the strat ... could you be asked to post some small blues lick lessons ... you surely have plenty to over to thousands of wannabe guitarist ... :-)) please say "ok" ;-)

    thanx in advance ...

  • pathetic

  • I have lots of lessons on my website - check them out.

  • Good stuff!

  • Good playing, is the guitar good for rock songs ?

  • Yes, why not? It's a good all around guitar.

  • ok thanks, i was just wondering because im going to get that guitar when i have enough mone

  • Yngwie Malmsteen, just like alot of other metal guitar players play fender strats...those guitars are good for everything really.

  • i have the same one as you have, but instead of changin the neck, i changed the pickguard to a white one.

i this that pickguard it comes with looks like poop.

    its awesome now!

i was thinking about changing the gold hardware but nah!

no way! it makes it unique looking, i just figured that out.

a random thing that i ned to add is that when i play it without shoes and in the floor, if one part of my body that its not my hands touches the strings, i get burned,.,,

    weird?...

    is this normal?

  • he didnt change the neck.....it comes in maple or rosewood

  • haha i didnt read the description sorry

  • lol

  • Sounds like a grounding problem maybe? Take it to a guitar tech and see what they say about it.

  • WANT ONE !

  • got to love the strat. beautiful sound. i got a USA 3 days ago. i dont even know wot the hell im doin on the computer?? its amazing!!! was totally worth the money

  • All I can say is WOW!

  • damn...i really dig that jazz thing you go into around 3:45. Nice. BTW, I'm trying to decide btwn this guitar and the deluxe roadhouse...recommendations? (I'm also wondering if I should just blow the 1000 on the new American Standard). Any help would be appreciated.

  • I had the same problem trying to decide between those two, i got the fsr deluxe players, it doesn't have the humbucker selection but it is an awesome guitar, either one is great you can't go wrong with either. The american standards are just overpriced, a mexican made strat is way cheaper and sounds almost better and looks amazing. i would go with the deluxe players

  • amazing :) great feel, bravo

  • have that guitar...rocks

  • great playing :)

im gonna own that guitar soon :)

  • sorry for boring you with my questions. i don't know...i think i will buy an amp(with no amps sim) and then i willl buy the pedals...wich one do you recomend me, ive got the same guitar as you..think that this guitar at my country(argentina) costs uss1250-1300(new) so think that i don't want to spend much money cos i don't have it:)..and wich one would be better for my guitar(is a type of vinatge one)...thanks...i want a really good amp (30-50w) but not very expensive..happy eastern..

  • but you know.. the deluxe players is more a rocker guitar than a jazz or accoustic one...and i think the roland cube is more for accoustic sounds...do you think it would be good for my guitar?? has the roland cube a good rock sounds..?? just your opinon please.

  • Yes, the Roland has many good rock sounds in it.

  • hey. im going to have the same guitar in a few days and i want some advice for the amplifier. i just wannna know what do you recommend me: the roland cube 30x or the vox ad30vt

  • Either one would be good.

  • love the website love the videos.

would you recommend the Epiphone Dot (not the studio-the 400 dollar one)

  • Thanks! Yeah, the Epi Dot is great.

  • thanks hows the macbook

  • Was it much of job replacing the neck? My deluxe has a seriously fretworn rosewood neck, and I'd like to go with the 9.5 maple for the replacement. Awesome playing BTW!!

  • No, it was just a matter of fastening the screws.

  • can i play my les paul 100 with that tone?

  • hooray for srv at :30!

  • i was thinking of buying an american deluxe but i changed my mind and bought an american standard, cheaper and not much difference. There not that expensive either and they sound and feel great

  • damn, you're good! just a lil' q. how different is this guitar from an american deluxe? I' not sure if I'm going to buy this one or wait to earn some more money. what do you think???

  • I think you should try both and see what you think.

  • the american deluxe has s-1 switching which is in the volume knob...its a little different...on the hss model it splits it into singles

  • great tone, great skills!!!

  • ohh thanks for the answer! mi sister buy me this guitar in eeuu but i can't play whith it yet because i stay in argentina ja!, i have big hands so i guess this is good to me...

    sorry my inglish :)

    saludos desde argentina again!
