@sarahsarahj1981 personally, i would put either thin wire or toothpicks in the base of the lilys and put them in the cake where you want them. then i would pipe green royal icing down the side along with the lilys in a way to make it looke like a vine of some sort. is that kind of what you wanted to know..?
Really like this video, It's really clear. I am a beginner too so thanks for your ideas. I tried these at home last week and put some photos on my blog.
I put a link to your video and hope people will find it as useful as me!
of all the demos I've been watching, yours is always the one making my life so easy with all these flower-making without so much fuss & so easy to follow. thank u very much ur great!
I do cakes out of my house as a side business and was racking my brain as to how ot make a calla lily for an order, your a life saver for posting this!
Wow i made the roses and they were great, everyone thought they were real, and im a kid so no one thought i made them. What is really funny is i never say this video and i made lillys, i see were i went wrong. Haha. Keep makin these vids, it will help me in four years when im old enough to get a part time job as a cake artist.
There are special (calla) lily cutters indeed, but I always use a heart shaped cutter. Almost everyone has one, often you have several sizes, and an inverted heart shape, works perfect for this kind of lily.
I really like how your tutorials are so simple. It reminds me of how the precious moments objects would look, clean cut, simple, and cute. Thanks much for posting these tutorials.
wow looks like a really long process especially when you made the tea pot birthday cake for olivia. When you present your cakes, can you also state how long each cake took you to make? Just for an idea of the time span. Thanx!
Tammy, I tried making a fondant sheep for you -- but this won't look like ht eone on my cake. I wanted to make one with a body -- so that's my attempt :)
I dont know why anyone would dislike this video...
